The 10 best default skins, IMO

In no particular order: These default skins are so good that I don't feel compelled to purchase a skin for the champion just so I don't have to see ugly.

Maybe Azir and Aatrox are kept the worst champions in the game because they're the best looking.

Just to add to the post, here's what I think is the worst default (not counting champions in dire need of VUs): Them hips don't distract from that ridiculously stupid hair. It's a smart business move to make her hair so incredibly awful that I never want to look at it.

Velkoz Was my favorite classic but suddenly, after his release, Riot 'updated' his base in-game model and made it look spiky and disgusting. It looked much more smooth and much more like his splash before : http://prntscr.com/ebybg1

I absolutely hate hate HATE that they didn't just make Captain Gangplank the default and this shit with the arm missing the skin. It also brings up continuity errors. If default GP did in fact lose an arm, why isn't Captain Fortune her new base skin? They messed up big time with that.

I would've included Syndra in mine, but because her old Mord ghost was the best looking thing in the game ever.

As u mentioned, ure opinion is very subjective. I personally like Camille s style except for the "side-wings" of her hair. ^^ But imo Camille is one of the best default champs atm with AurelionSol and Jhin just art-wise.

I personally woould seperate them from old, to "not-old-but-not-new" and new.

( And e.g. i dont like Velkoz he looks to similar to an octopus. and imo octopuses are obnoxious. but i very agree with Azir Braum and Kindred - i would add Kalista btw too )

Every time I play Aurelion in ARAM or see someone play him on SR I am always still somewhat amazed by him. He's such a beautiful addition to league aesthetically.

Also "and imo ocotpuses are obnoxious" Lmao that genuinely made me "laugh out loud"

My friend said she liked Lux, too. I don't get it. The armor is kinda generic to me.

And I'm of the opinion that MF's default should have been changed to Captain at the same time Gangplank's changed. Just to be consistent.

But I can agree about Leona. The shine of the burgundy has always been awesome.

Riven also looks really good with her base skin. I mean battlebunny is fun too with the orange animations and Arcade/DB would be also good skins if they werent so fucking awkward to use.

Ahri/Malza/Jhin and Kata look really good aswell. Imma disagree on Kha tho i dunno his base is kinda ugly. Maybe it's just me cause i got all his skins and i mostly use his Mecha skin so the sounds of the basic one kinda trigger me.

My favorite is Jhin Mainly because his game sounds are amazing on only his base. Both High Noon and Blood Moon just don't feel satisfying when using abilities from their fx sounds. Sure the particles look cool, but you notice the sounds more than the look when you're focusing.

Yasuo's model and textures seem pretty outdated, if you ask me. What really makes him shine above the rest are his animations -- they're so fluid and fitting for a samurai.

I get what you mean. But he's one strong case where outdated is good. He was released right at the time before Riot changed their style to this one-tone type of texture. There was that big texture update that included almost every champion, and made everything flatter. Look at very old WW compared to WW right before the rework to see it most obviously. And every skin that had some sort of metal reflection had it removed. RiP good Pentakill skins.

I decided to include only defaults they got right the first time. And I really like the new Yorick. Especially what they did to both the skins. Just wish they didn't think a VU was an excuse to still leave him as the only champion to go its entire existence without an additional skin.
