Possible Void backstory hints in Illaoi's dialouge?

"Ugly thing. You weren't designed by god, you were made by fools."

Illaoi says this to Rek'Sai in a taunt. And as we know, Rek'Sai is from the Void, a realm that we have little to no knowledge of whatsoever. We do know that the Void has spawned many abominations such as the likes of Cho'Gath, Kha'Zix, and Vel'Koz. But this quote might imply that the Voidborn are not created by the Gods, but rather something or someone. This may also tie in to Kog'Maw's quote about his "daddy." Could it be that Kog'Maw's so called father did not birth him naturally as a normal creature does, but rather created him, and many of the other Voidborn falsely? And if so, who or what did it? Will we ever get to see this mystery creature who is creating abominations to unleash on the land? How would you rate this theory on a scale of 1-10, with a 1 being "You're a crackpot" and ten being "You might be on to something here."

This is the same person who believes Kindred (the literal personification of death) to be a foolish spirit. The self-same of Bard, a literal cosmic force of balance.

Perspective is extremely colored here.

Notably, she also says, "What kind of stupid god made you?" to Rek'Sai. It's not entirely clear she even understands what created the Voidborn entirely.

Considering how Khazix operates, I can see void creatures being manufactured. Kinda like the Kaiju in Pacific Rim.

I view that line as more of an off-handed jab at the Shurimans; Rek'Sai exists as she does now not because God allowed her to grow and develop, but because the Shurimans weren't able to put her down before she became so monstrous. Rek'Sai's existence as she is now is down to the Shurimans fucking up.

I'm convinced Illaoi really doesn't like Shurima or its people.

She underestimates everyone and talks like she knows something about them. Probably not a big deal quote.

If she is right, it also means creator is more than one. May be there are Mommy and Daddy.

KogMaw "Terror coming... daddy coming..." I'm pretty sure koggles is referring to Chogath because Cho'gath is known as the terror of the void. So I think Kog and Cho are somehow related. But I would love to see some more info on the void. Maybe even a whole void event similar to that of the Bilgewater event? :D

Ooh. When I heard that in her voiceover preview, I figured it was for Blitzcrank or Orianna.

That though. That is interesting. Illaoi speaks in pseudo-riddles a lot, but we'll see if that gets followed up on. Illaoi seems like the type who would know a lot about this sort of thing, she exhibits some extreme powers for a human. She seems to know of Bard and Kindred, she knows Katarina's feelings about Garen, something that only Tahm also remarks on, and he's pretty much an immortal demon.

I wouldn't be surprised if Illaoi was part of Nagakaborous, in a way, like a little bit..possessed? Her weird green eyes might imply that.

The information we have on the nature of the Void is far too contradictory to draw any solid conclusions.

We still don't know whether its just a spooky purple world on another plane of existence or if its an eldritch realm of madness beyond mortal comprehension.

I have already created theories about the void and this is the main one. give u a solid 9 and propose the idea that the Void isn't a God but rather a person or monster of some kind that either corrupts creatures and changes them or simply creates them.
