Marshbouy15 votesIt fits his personality as a crazy war vet who forgets the norms of society (he's the only champion who swears while everyone else doesn't). Adding more people who swear would slowly detract from Kled. Not to mention it's bleeped, while Xayah was not bleeped. Bleeping Xayah is not an option because it wouldn't fit her as much because Kled is all about craziness and cartoonish comic relief, Xayah is not.

The reason Xayah was censored is because of the specific word. Apparently "shit" has higher implications then the words Kled says, which is why "Shit" is bleeped out in Kled's VO. The word "shit" can cause our rating to go up which is something we aren't willing to risk.
We bleeped out that word on Kled because we thought it added comical effect to Kled. We could have bleeped it out with Xayah as well but we didn't feel that same comical effect would work for her personality.
ZER0 24 votesMy only question about this is, you guys knew about the rating problem before (which is why you censored Kled's) so why add the voice lines that had shit in them or add "shit" to any voice lines in the first place? Could've avoided a lot of confusion that way. If you never give people something, they'll never know it was removed, but if you give it to them and take it away, however minuscule, people will get upset. (Personally I'm neutral on the situation, just curious as to the answer.)

ModAcademy Kayn1 votesExcept it likely is, considering the chain of events. The VO lines that Kled never got, never made it on to PBE. The lines that Xayah got removed, did make it on to PBE. Both lines were removed regardless, so if both were meant to be removed regardless, it was most likely an accident that they made it onto PBE.
Dolasaur1 votesIt's a work efficiency tradeoff. Making everyone in your company sit through hours of geopoli training is something not many companies care to do. Involving a dedicated geopoli expert at every step of the way can be helpful, but tedious. So Riot seems to have just done what most people do: Get everything ready to go with a general idea of their ratings boards, and then let something slip because it wasn't a huge, obvious red flag (like rape/swastikas/Batman (well-known unowned IP)/etc.).

Xayah was censored becasuse tbh it's not very fitting to her character and it's wholly unnecessary. I feel like people are making too big a deal of this. I had my doubt these lines were gonna last.
