Wait, how did Nasus know Xerath's name?

Azir and Xerath knew a slave with name would mean death punishment, so they made a deal and used this name only among themselves. How did Nasus even know? Did this rule change after Azir as being emperor? And Nasus couldn't learn it after Fall of Shurima either since Azir was dead and Xerath was imprisoned. There are many ways to close this plot though. Like Azir removes this rule as emperor or Xerath says his name in fight of Shurima's Fall. Wish we had what really happened in Fall of Shurima in detail.

I can imagine Xerath openly declaring his name during the initial fight he had with Nasus and Renekton in part due to having just got phenomenal arcane power and being on a bit of a power high from it. Or perhaps one of the brothers mocked him during the fight about him being a nameless slave and as such he came out with his name.

Either way it probably came to light during the battle, Nasus then spread the word to a few folks, who spread it around and thus the name Xerath forever became tainted by Xerath's legacy.

Azir might have made an exception for Xerath after he became emporer. After all Azir was the ruler of the empire,so him giving his slave a name was likely an acceptable exception.
