Last we heard, they had plans to make the Ursine Tribe thunder spirits iirc, hence 'Ornn's siblings' might just be Ornn's way of acknowledging other spiritual creatures and gods, or hell, maybe their were all created/ born from some greater being, then they would actually being siblings. Until we get his lore, I think the former is the safer bet.

I'm not sure spirits is the right word, since those don't have a physical form unlike Bard (celestial thing).

Wrathof3001 votes

Actually TahmKench and Kindred, they are more or less spirits/ enitiies from runeterra's spirit world that use these forms as a physical form.

Chromatic Eagle1 votes

Fair enough with Kench, though he's a demon, and I think they're a different type of spirit, like Yordles. I thought Kindred don't have a form, but people perceive them in different ways.

Wrathof3001 votes

Well, you are right, kindred isn't physical, however imo I would consider the appearance of Kindred that we know, as one of their many forms/ perceptions in your case. Janna was created from the prayers of sailors and merchants travelling overseas, hence her is akin to that of a ship's figure head, but if she was born somewhere else she might have had a different form.

Omg if this is true. Volibears VGU's will become awesome specially if they'll make him into a demi-god. Now that he's siblings with ornn. all that i can say is that, we will get other demi gods like ornn and voli in the future. possibly their siblings too because there are a lot of elementals not used like water, tree, nature and air. being voli as storm/lighting/thunder element and ornn is the fire/metal element. Also, i don't think ursines will not become a bear related now considering this is cannon and ornn doesn't look like a bear. plus riot is stepping away from real world influences so.. ursine species are not the same meaning as to us earthlings. Maybe they are a limited race in along time ago.

BTW, Anivia is a possible ursine(if it has a diff meaning) too if you ask me which she is an elemtal of ice/snow.

PS: Ursines may become a race in league that focuses on animal elemental spirits. maybe ursines definition is beast/animal beings if they will take on another route instead of the generic ursines who are bear species which is random considering there are new races now like vastaya, which can accommodate the present ursines.

then we know now how voli will look after his VGU. cool!

And it will be awesome im sure !! FRELJORD MAY RISE !!!

Rustfe1 votes

I don't think they are going to rework volibear, but Ima still remain optimistic! Volibear

VelvetCrotch1 votes

well i dont think he will get a full gameplay overhaul too. i think his e and r will stay somehow. his q could get maybe a slight change and definitely his passiv.

RiotReav310 votes

Volibear definitely needs a full VGU and a pretty massive kit overhaul when we get to him

Chromatic Eagle1 votes

Really? Why not a modernization?

Noxian Pride4 votes

Because as it is Voli is too much of a walking statstick. Riot is forced to keep him in a weak state because otherwise he becomes insanely oppressive in lane with how straightforward his function is.

Chromatic Eagle1 votes

So an update like Warwick's wouldn't work? It'll be like Urgot and Galio?

Häxel1 votes

warwick was basicly a full vgu too. a modernization would be something like they did to Heimerdinger, Rek'sai or Aatrox recently (and aatrox gets more work in the near future again).

Variks the Loyal2 votes

Warwick was more of a modernization still; most of his old kit is still in there, just with new paint (He always revealed enemies with low health, now he just has movement speed towards them).

Volibear needs something Galio or Sion level.

Häxel1 votes

its not about how much of his abilitys there been. would say how much work was made to be done. Also warwick got visual updated and a new lore. Sion still stacks health. Galio stillt aunts enemys and has a poking q you could say also. on ww not one ability got not even one ability got changed. While lb for example had her e unchanged. still i would call lb a minirework and not a modernization. Modernization would be like only one ability changes a bit. Like cho'gath e and r, no toggel and no longer loosing stacks with death, infinity stacking.

But i think i would agree with volibear.

Sukishoo1 votes

No, WW is considered a Modernization, as is Eve who is following. They are basically when you keep the kit in tack for the most part and just update a few abilities with something new (like his shield/howl he has now) and give others a better feeling (like his claw slash became a bite). This is what WW got and they said Eve will too. So they are a Modernization.

What about Anivia? She looks like a bird that talks, and I would be far less likely to believe her to be a god sibling of Ornn, considering he looks like a dwarf with horns. I think she could use a VGU too, to make her a believable anthropomorphic demigod.

VelvetCrotch1 votes

read your response only now. big thanks 4 response and for this direct statement. good to hear that - tbh didnt thought he will get SO much love, lol.

Chromatic Eagle1 votes

Then I'm guessing that Anivia is one of his siblings, which makes me wonder what their ancestry is.

Krabohod1 votes

What if they'll make Voli demigod, just like Ornn and make Voli "kinda" father of all of Ursines? THat would be pretty neat.

Big Lincoln1 votes

Why is he 'not smart' anymore? i didn't want a dumb brute and now voli just seems like an enormous asshole

zzzz shaman bear when

Serrash1 votes

I really hope Volibear isn't related to him. Making Volibear a demi God is just... boring. We've been getting a lot of celestial like characters in league lately. I'd rather Orrn have something against Volibear because he lost to him in some epic battle. I could see them going at it. Claws vs metal. Fangs vs horns. Storm magic vs molten rock. Just making them brothers is lame and really not using the full potential of what they could bring.
