This isnt the first time people had a major debate vs Riot on a lore change.

Remember ? Riot: Fiora is a... rude, dutiful, skillful swordswoman. Players: You mean she is a beautiful, cocky, skillful swordswoman? Riot: Ok we'll make her face look less like a sword and more like a face.

Riot: So Varus was just kind of a guy who wanted revenge right? Players: You mean he was a man who loved his wife and child so much that he risked his own life to avenge them? Riot: Well uh... he's gay now. Players >.>

I dont think there is any splash changing that will make players accept Varus' new lore, but i thought i would bring up this comparison

Currently, I like the lore changes. I mean a lot of these characters had a very linear design. The old lore was written by determining what had to happen but cut out the why these happened.

Taking varus and making him the combination of a darken and a gay couple was a brave move by riot. Does it change anything for the character for me? Not really, it's just different.

I mean lore is there for the people interested in who these characters are. You don't need lore to play the game. Just use it if you want to make more sense of the story.

I am sorry though are you making an observation or an opinion sometimes it's hard to tell.
