Now that the lore doesn't matter anymore; Was Jax intended to be General DuCouteau?

The lore originally had mentions of Katarina's father being a great warrior of immense prowess who mysteriously disappeared.... suddenly a fighter named 'Jax' appeared and won hundreds of consecutive matches in the IoW through sheer skill alone but his true identity was unknown however, it was often speculated that General DuCouteau was Jax . This was somewhat implied in Kat/Talon and even slightly in Swain's lore.

The lore was ditched so now that it doesn't matter, I would like to know; Was Jax actually Katarina's father in the old lore? you can tell us now.

Explain how her gather turned into an eggplant with 4 fingers on each hand and purple skin, and as far as we can tell, a face that glows.

Odd bit of trivia, Jax is most likely inspired by the character Garet Jax from The Wishsong of Shannara

I thought it was implied he was Reginald Ashram or something

I think there was a big theory he was a troll hero that helped defeat the watchers along with the iceborn.

I always tought he was a troll like Trundle tbh, maybe even the troll king trundle beat.

Correction: Old Lore doesn't matter anymore.

As for your theory, highly unlikely. DuCouteau was a good warrior but Jax was literally godlike and could not lose unless he handicapped himself. It also doesn't explain the three fingers and oddly shaped body, even if you want to argue it was just Riot's models at the time.

Jax was mostly implied to be a Summoner named Reginald Ashram, one of the Head Councilor of the old League, who personally vouched for Jax then went missing. As far as I know, Du Couteau's disappearance is much later than Jax's admission to the League.

Cosidering Jax is my favorite champion and General DuCouteau is my 4th favrotie league of legends character after Jax Trundle and Volibear ive never even though of that or heard it before my mind is blown. i like this theory except that Jax is independent and The General was vastly loyal to Noxus.

That is an incredibly large stretch.

It's fascinating.

Also glad to see you're moving to other non-draconian topics.

I think the theory is bullshit.

It is heavily implied in the lore that Swain, LB and the Black Rose killed general DuCouteau alongside Reginald Ashram, the former leader of Noxus, to make it able for them to seize power. Right now Swain is the highest general and the leader of Noxus because of that.

There's a lot you can read up on. There's the Journals of Justice, the League Judgements of Swain and LB and the Sion rework teaser. I'm too lazy to include links but you can easily find it if you search for it on the Internet.

Marcus and Jax actually did meet and had a bar fight... just saying... So unless Jax is Marcus from the future, because he actually did defeat Marcus, I don't see how Jax could be Marcus in any other possibility... And General Marcus Du Couteau is actually the best SWORDSMAN in Runeterra, not best WARRIOR, Jax pretty much is the grandmaster of all combat styles, that's why he won against Marcus... Same as Katarina is the best blade dancer and Talon best hidden blade master... still considered blademasters, but in different style of combat...

That's why there was an old Katarina quote, where she says "Me, my father and talon, the greatest swordmasters. Together, who would stop us?", and you cant have 3 people been the best in the same combat style, they are just greatest in their own style which is still falling in swordmastery. :p Complicated stuff! You need to have a blades fetish to understand!
