I know some people find her so annoying, but I think she is actually so cute, innocent and kind.

Her concern for a demacian soldier which she didn't need to have was so dense. She cared about him like she knew him for a long time. She was there until his death, did not let him go lonely, even made it peaciful. It was heartbreaking and sweet at the same time.

Then Luca, the mage boy. I really love how she accepts herself and try to help others just like her.

On Galio, their dialogue was hilarious and super fun, I found myself while smiling and being happy without my notice first.

Taliyah and Lux would be besties if they ever met.

I think Riot has sunk the ship. It started with a howling abyss shopkeeper quote speculating Ezreal's relationship with Lux, but the quote itself is about a rumor. So it could be Ezreal traveled to Demacia and feel inlove with Lux, but they are not in relationship.

Don't forget, during the Aatrox preview, we saw Ez had a sketch of him a Lux that he apparently wanted to keep hidden. Not sure what it all means now, but still something to consider.

It started before that. It was either a community created ship that got super popular or riot hinted at it to start (I don't know, it's been going on forever). When Aatrox was teased, the tease was written by Ezreal and included a picture of his desk with a bunch of art from various lands that all had Aatrox shapes in them. And in the corner, kinda tucked away but visible, was a drawing of Lux. When posts were made about it, the picture was removed.

Then there's the shop keeper quote, which fed the fire some.

There is also pool party Leona's splash art, where a grumpy Ez looks on as Lux and Taric run on the beach. This one could go either way due to the ship triangle surrounding those champs.

From my current understanding, Riot is focusing on the key, major personality traits when introducing the champs new lore. This is why Garen hasn't had interactions with Kat in his new lore. It's probably the same with Ezreal and Lux - it's a door that can be opened later.

Also, since when has champs not meeting stopped you shippers? Some of the ships I see make almost no sense.

If Riot goes in this quality (I mean not less, I'm always open for a better quality), I'm pretty sure they will have enough background for story themed, RPG like game. Runeterra Universe can be a legend like Warcraft and Warhammer 40k.

The lore is pretty clear why. Garen hates mages unconditionally and Lux is a mage. Garen believes in black-white morality, Lux sees that there are shades of gray. Garen is a group effort kind of fellow and Lux works solo.

They have a ton of themes running opposite each other.

I know she does. But same for toward Ezreal. Game taunts don't necessarily mean champions know each other. No way Aurelion Sol knows Graves.

True, but the EZ line is a nod to the fans where as Taliyah is pretty random. I think Riot definitely has plans to unite them at some point which makes sense to me.

They're both powerful mages learning to accept themselves in different ways.

Taliyah's quote isn't random. If you've read Lux's new lore, you realize that she would relate to Taliyah a lot. They are both normals girls who found out they had tremendous powers.

Lux telling Taliyah not to be afraid, really makes a lot of sense, Lux would want to be the girl who she wishes she had when she was struggling with her powers. Despite not having met in-game, their stories are so similar that a quote not being there would have been a massively missed opportunity.

Just because it makes sense doesn't mean it isn't random. It's like if Lux condoned Syndra for her misuse and love for darker magic. Sure it makes sense, but they don't relate directly in lore so therefore it's "random" for now.

It's random that it was decided to be a quote instead of a different random quote that would also make sense.

That's why I also said it would make sense if they did eventually cross paths and could possibly hint at Riot planning that.

Having context to something makes so that it isn't random.

Maybe if Lux judged Cho'gath for his use of tea, that might be random.

Having context and reasoning behind the quote being there, hardly makes the interaction random.

There's a reason behind the quote, it's not just nonsense for the sake of it.

Her E is annoying as hell. Hard to dodge even at a huge safe distance (huge because besides the big cast range, it also has a wide AoE).

Backing off enought to dodge it means being far away from the minion wave. "She's supposed to do that, she is a zoning mage" Ehh still it's too huge IMO, I'd rather Lux to have a smaller AoE with more damage that would grow on size and lower damage as it grew.

I know this is on the gameplay boards but I had to comment how cute turns into annoying af
