@Jaredan Burning Tides, Storytelling, You did most right except for....

Burning Tides is actually well done.

It did not detract much from what he had established before.

The flavor is the same, this is coming from a die-hard Bilgewater fan.

I quit League for half a year because of your lore retcon. YES, players do quit because of reasons like this, I hope you don't slip up with what you have.

Now this post does not really have much criticism against the event. It felt right unlike the horrible experience that was Shurima. perhaps you had more time to prepare, more experience. There is one thing that didn't fit in with everything though, Tahm Kench. He just feels detached from the event when he's supposed to be the next big Bilgewatian image to be thrown into your game. (see how detached I am now to your game? but I've let the lore retcon go... I still feel salt though)

I'm not saying Tahm Kench is a bad character, he just feels like he didn't go very well with the event. I think it was just a missed opportunity.

I like what you did to TF and Graves. It fleshed them out more and THIS is the type of development lore followers like me play the game for. So in line with this: Good Job Riot.

I will continue to play until your next big fudge-up....

I'm replacing trust on you Riot Lore team, please NEVER give us time constrained projects like Shurima EVER again...

Finish them to perfection like Burning Tides then deliver them to us on a scale grander than Freljord (the youtube videos, the music.. all of these make it worthwhile but the most important thing is: DO NOT alienate characters from how we know them. This is where Burning Tides shines so much that it gets me teary-eyed.)

Bye :)

This event isn't about TK.Just because he was the last champ to be released before it doesn't make him the Azir or Lissandra of the event.Burning Tides isn't even about all of the Bilgewater champs. Unless something happens in Act 3,TK has no place in this story.

"Ol' Tahm Kench likeness marks dens of avarice throughout Bilgewater. A symbol of greed and uninhibited freedom, the River King's face appears as lewd graffiti almost as often as it is a guidepost for those looking to satiate tastes of an indelicate sort."

Tahm Kench form we know from the standart skin is the form he takes in Bilgewater (fish-like creature) but he can and goes everywhere. He's not from Bilgewater. He probably doesn't, but he can still appear in the Graves, TF, GP and MF story.

Bumping this.

I just read Act 3 and I have not been disappointed. With how they chose to "change" the lore (which I have stopped fighting), GP being dead doesn't really affect the game now. I hope we see more Pirates in the future though.

Bruh.

Callin' it now.

Tahm saved GP, and offered him a deal he can't refuse.

Act IV coming to a client near you.
