Should darius have been at swain's right hand side?
Or even just ANYWHERE on the swain trailer? I mean, talk about shitting all over the lore. Not asking to emphasize darius but he could have at least BEEN there in some way

Why? Darius isn’t Swain’s pet dog where he’s with him all the time. He’s his own character with an allegeance to Swain, but he isn’t defined by his connection to Swain nor is Swain defined by his connection to Darius.
So they deserve situations where they can shine as their own characters.
Just because someone is someone's right hand doesn't mean he is always following them around like a pet.
The trailer was supposed to focus on Swain. Demonic warlords can have some alone time.
You can't be serious.
The video is of a battle in Noxus. Darius is down below storming the city probably, or trying to maintain peace.
It's a teaser. I expect we will see Darius in some way in a greater cinematic, comic, or story.
Or...plot twist....Darius will become the true soldier exemplar, following the commands of Darkwill, standing aside as Darkwill and Swain grapple for power, then following commands of the victor...in true Noxian fashion, valuing power above all.
