Morde's always only been metal in name, not theme, but Lord of Death is really uninspired.

Lets be honest, the heavy and death metal references are cool (and here to stay), but metal's never been a real part of his thematic (wooo shrapnel tornado).

That being said, considering his name is literally a compound of "Death" and "Emperor" in German, making his title "Lord of Death" is really uninspired. You can do better, please.

I for one am actually really enjoying the Morde rework (God bot lane has been EXTREMELY boring this season, he fixes that pretty well), I look forward to seeing how it evolves; please don't nerf him out of play like you did my last main, Ryze.

His dragon certainly needs some work. It really needs better AI/responsiveness though too. (It likes to switch targets randomly, forget what order you gave it, etc.) Its damage is pretty pathetic. Sure, each hit does decent damage (at least early game), but its attacks are incredibly slow and unwieldy - pretty much anyone else has better DPS. The issue is how tanky it is, especially when it is harassing under tower. It doesn't draw aggro, and even if it did the towers barely tickle it, so Morde just sends it to harass and force his enemies back to base, then takes the tower.

I'd like them to buff the DPS of the dragon (by making it attack faster), but make it squishier, especially against towers. It's pretty much useless outside of harassing people under tower, although it can be decent for body blocking skillshots.

I'd like to see its "timer" based off its HP constantly decaying (Such as 2.5%, 2%, 1.5% max hp per second at levels 6/11/16), similar to Azir's tower. That would make damaging the dragon actually feel impactful, and would certainly further clarity.

The continued dismantling of a loved champions. Abilities, independence, thematics, and playerbase

It's not what they are changing. It's that they continue to change with no regards to the players feedback

Mord means murder,not death.

However i agree that the new title is kinda generic.

Most are having a tantrum because of change aversion, but the title being too bland is actually legitimate feedback, whether I agree or not.
