Why do people think Nasus is the creator of ascension ritual?
It's literally changing lore like you're a riot writer. Worse thing is some people assume Nasus can age other creatures, walk through time and drain souls (assume it like it's confirmed).

shurima is getting the shadow and fortune treatment so new lores all around people are making theory's to see how close they can get and the aging and soul stealing is related to his w and passive as a way to fit his ability into the lore. it's all in good fun dont get so bent out of shape.
I was under the assumption that he was one of the first if not the first Ascended along with Renekton. I personally think being one of the first is more likely, but that's just me.
The aging thing comes from his in-game abilities, which are usually a decent read for in-lore abilities to an extent. I at least know that for a fact - the fact that the assumption there exists, not that it's true or not.
Overall people tend to overestimate nasus. I mean all nasus ever did in the lore was fighting Xerath and even then he and renekton couldn't kill xerath and renekton had to sacrifice himself to imprison him(and in the old lore nasus didn't do anything aside from fighting renekton) Yet people almost always talk about how lorewise nasus is supposedly one of the strongest champs,reaching almost god-level.
