I went over it on another similar post. The "'four" elements you talk about don't even exist as a whole. Greek elements were 5, the 4 you mentioned and ether (soul, heart, basically anything that can not be touched) . The Asian (chinese and Japanese and such, have similar meaning but slight difference between them) were 7 the four you mentioned plus Wood, Metal and Lightning/Thunder/Storm which derived from the ying-yang that couldn't be touched (that basically was dark/light) . So the 4 elements you talk about where just the common factor when the cultures crashed.

Elements are water, earth, wind, fire, and spirit actually. I may have missed some.

There's a pretty wide disagreement between cultures over what were considered elements and what weren't.

Mostly because none of them are elements (whoops).

Lux should be tossing around quarks, electrons, photons, and gluons.
