I still feel like SG Udyr should have been his VGU
Title. Also meant VU
Title. Also meant VU
It IS his VGU.
You just have to pay like $30 for it.
Trolololololo
You mean his VU? Or a GU to come along with it?
but udyr is freljord.
So is Ashe. She's wearing a skirt.
that means what?
sg udyr is based on eastern asia ideas, with prayer beads and a higher focus on martial arts (Stances focus more in the arm movements), and his tiger stance is very clearly designed around teko kagi claws, a weapon from the far east.
But freljord isn't very based in far eastern things. It is a northern europe place, With many references to modern interpretations of nordic observations.
Udyr should not be trying to control his spirits, he should be trying to become one with them. Instead of being in more control, he should be relinquishing control, stealing and hunting for his food like an actual animal.
I see your point. Though it still stands that Ashe doesn't fit into that theme either. But then again this discussion isn't about Ashe.
If you think of ashe as a basic nordic women from history she fails the theme.
If you think of ashe as a valkyrie she fits it nearly perfectly, with a few nice twists as well. a little underdressed but it fits better with the more modern interpretations.
People have been saying this ever since the skin came out, although, people do point to one certain distinction between his base skin, and Spirit Guard.
That being that Spirit Guard is a future version of himself. He found enlightenment, and has been able to work more closely with the spirits than ever before. The base skin is a more savage, unrefined version of Spirit Guard.
If Riot is ever to do a VU on him someday, most likely, they would do something like that.
"Savage"
Proceeds to make lifeless arm motions with little visual power behind them. His bear stance punch is literally a gentle tap with bear roar sfx.
I should have said that is what his base skin is meant to be like.
If Riot ever does a VU for him, they would most likely focus on that aspect, kind of like what they did with Warwick.
