It is a bit disappointing that Urgot voice is far scarier than Evelynn's

When I thought Evelynn and her update before rework, I imagined serious, scary voice that would be like Urgot. A voice that makes you think this champion has no joke and dark as shit even before thinking about it. "It's better in the dark" teaser quote hyped me because of that. "Things we whisper in the dark" is an incredibly good quote too.

Then what happened? I laughed. I would never imagine myself laughing to Evelynn quotes. Even still I am laughing to "It's so...big..." which what I wouldn't want from Evelynn. Finding her funny.

Wish she had more quotes like teaser and in Urgot seriousness with less innuendos. Not because of I find it wrong, but because of they hurt Evelynn's evilness and identity.

Urgot on the other hand, I believe he is the best updated voice ever done by Riot. It is a masterpiece. They got everything correct with him and reflected terrifying death machine theme really well.

I make this thread not because I hope any change or anything, or just to complain. I make this thread only to remind Riot that evil champions should fell evil and unfunny unless it is specific like Shaco. Nocturne and Mordekaiser updated voices should be in level of Urgot, not Evelynn.

And please, please, please... Make next demon champion serious most of. Both Tahm Kench and Evelynn have so much quotes that makes them look less evil then they are, at least next one should show its evilness even by its voice, not just its acts.

What's the point in being a seductress, if your voice is scarier than a half robot-chem-monster thing? Terror isn't exactly condusive to lust.

Evil champions don't necessarily need to be unfunny. Take Negan from The Walking Dead. He's an example of how a villain can be both comical and terrifying. In Evelynn's case, she's honestly not that funny. She's just sexual because she's a demon of lust and quite honestly seems pretty dang evil when you concider that she wants to torture everyone to death.

In a way, Evelynn is a sexual predator who seduces her pray before exposing them to pure agony. Urgot, on the other hand, is fanatical visionary anarchist that wants to murder your family and hang their mutilated bodies with chains for all to see. Urgot wants you to fear him and Evelynn does not, so of course Urgot's VO is scarier than Evelynn's. However, Evelynn does produce her own type of fear. As a man, I'd be terrified knowing something like her existed: someone with cruel intentions who disguises herself as a highly attractive and naked woman to lure men to their agonizing death.

i think anything about urgot being scarier than eve is justified. can you imagine sharing a cell with the man? his lower half is completely mechanic so id buy some sturdy soap on a rope if i were you.

edit: on a serious note though, if you read her current lore and remember the old stuff she ALWAYS had a bit of a playful side to her on top of the seductive and dangerous ones. i really like the new eve personally, there is nothing wrong with a dangerous character that can make you laugh. even then as fucked up as urgots quotes and interactions are theyre still quite funny to me.

I agree, she should be sexual and terrifying. The more I read threads like this the more I feel vindicated for criticizing her update. Gameplay wise she looks fun, but she still just plays as a generic assassin. There is nothing that really builds the sense of dread you'd want from a succubus type champion. No game mechanic to incentivize the player to seek out an enemy Eve. No foreboding music/visual/sound to build the sense of dread that Evelynn is coming for you. She just hits level 6 and hey she gets stealth again. She pops out of nowhere but it's not exactly an upgrade from the old Eve's antics. I admit, they did such a good job with Warwick (my god the drums) my expectations for horror-themed champions were fairly high.

Have you listened to her voices in demon shade? I think they're going for a duality with her: seductive when seen, vicious when in her shadow form.

I do agree but I don't think her voice should always be scary. It would be nice if she had some spooky lines tho.

For example when taunting a champion she isn't fond of like Ahri. Or when she gets a bunch of kills. She doesn't show her demon side enough when she's being aggressive if you ask me.

I think her only demon voice line is when she ults.

Urgot being more frightening than Evelynn makes sense to me. Evelynn is an evil creature that lures you in and then tortures you to her pleasure while Urgot is simply terror incarnated in its most grotesque form, he wants you to give up to panic and so on.

Did you also complain about Elise's human form voice? They are monster women that need to be as alluring as possible ffs... She isn't supposed to be scary until she has you.

Evelynn and Tahm Kench were specifically designed to not be 100% evil.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if Shaco became much more serious but that is dependant on the direction Riot takes him.
