Enoch, the Collector of Faces [Champion Concept] [Rework]
Enoch, the Collector of Faces Primary: Marksman Secondary: Assassin
Enoch is a techmaturgical being created by Piltovian scientists, designed to mimic the bodies of living organisms and machines alike in order for scientists to study them much more easily. Overcoming its primary programming, Enoch became corrupted and viciously slaughtered its creators, assuming the appearance of one of his victims before it unleashed itself into the streets of Piltover.
Coveting the fulfilling lives of the living, Enoch has lived the lives of hundreds, using their appearances as avatars for his passage into this world, even learning to assimilate its "face's" behaviors. But in the process of searching for his identity, Enoch has left behind a bloody trail or broken bodies, gunning down those unfortunate to cross his path with an hollow heart. With such a monstrosity lurking in every corner, the question to ask is: Who can you really trust?
ABILITIES
Passive: COLLECTION OF FACES When Enoch kills a unique enemy champion for the first time, Enoch now holds their identity in his Collection, granting him the capability to assume their identities indefinitely.
Enoch has the Collection, a small, in-game screen in which he can choose from up to 5 different champions to take their identities. Enoch assumes the appearance of the champion of his choice, labeling them as his Face and marking the respective champion, but attacking or casting abilities will reveal his true form for brief moments of time. Enemy champions become aware when Enoch takes on their Face. Collecting all 5 Faces will grant Enoch the buff COLLECTOR OF FACES, granting him absolutely nothing.
Once Enoch takes on the identity of a chosen Face, his abilities have additional effects against the Face champion, but once a Face ability is used, it cannot become active again for the next 30 seconds. Enoch cannot change his Face champion for 100 seconds.
Q: LANGWIDERE First (8/7/6/5/4 seconds) Second (None) First Activation: Detaching a part of his core system, Enoch, after a short delay, fires it toward a target direction, dealing 40/60/80/100/120 (+100% AD) damage to the first enemy hit. If Enoch fires its system toward a wall, or toward a target direction without encountering any enemy units, the system will plant itself at the location, remaining there for up to 60 seconds until an enemy champion is within range. After a 0.5 second delay, the Core will attach to the enemy champion, slowing them by 30/40/50/60/70% and dealing and an additional 20% of the damage over time for 4 seconds. Damaged enemy units are revealed for 2 seconds. Enoch can only have 1 core system out at a time. Using Langwidere again to fire another core system will destroy the previous system.
Second Activation: If an enemy champion afflicted with Langwidere is killed, Enoch can reactivate Langwidere during the next 5 seconds to leave behind his current body to reconfigure his consciousness to the corrupt system attached to the enemy champion, teleporting to the position, regardless of distance. Enoch additionally leaves behind his current Face and immediately takes on the appearance of his latest victim, making them his new Face.
Hitting a Face champion afflicted with LANGWIDERE will reduce their armor by 15/20/25/30/35% for 3 seconds (does not stack).
W: UNSTABLE INVENTION (10/9/8/7/6 seconds) Enoch utilizes his dual hand cannons to their maximum potential. For the next 10 seconds, upon activation, Enoch's next three basic attacks are empowered and fire a hailstorm of energies. Each empowered attack deals a bonus 20/40/60/80/100 (+80% AD) damage. If all three of Enoch's empowered basic attacks hit the same target consecutively, the final attack will deal critically strike.
Attacking a Face champion will deal an additional 7% of the enemy's maximum health as damage on the final shot, regardless of who Enoch attacked with the first two shots.
E: IDENTITY CRISIS (15/13/11/9/7 seconds) Enoch surrounds himself with an electromagnetic field around him, increasing his armor and magic resistance by 20/25/30/25/40% for the net 5 seconds.
During this time, 20/30/40/50/60% of the damage Enoch takes is directly applied to his Face, only if the respective enemy champion is in range. If his Face champion is not in range, Enoch instead deals the damage to enemy units around him.
R: PEEKABOO (120/100/80 seconds) Enoch tears apart his disguise, discarding his current Face, and lets out a screech, revealing his true form in and horrifying his enemies, silencing all enemy champions in his range for 1.0/1.5/2.0 seconds. His previous Face champion will also take 100/150/200 (+100% of bonus AD) damage, regardless of their position.
For the next 8/10/12 seconds, Enoch temporarily gains bonus attack range, 40% attack speed, and 20% of his current attack damage as bonus damage for the duration. When the duration ends, Enoch will lose his increased stats, but he will maintain his true form. A new Face may be selected.
LORE: Something is different about Maylin lately.
She seems to be quieter than usual. Her mind is just... wandering all the time. She used to love music. She used to play her own violin every day, while I watched with a smile on my face. We used to be happy together.
Now, the violin lays untouched in the corner of the kitchen. Next to the now-cold bowl of rancid soup from two days ago.
"Maylin," I ask. "Maylin, look at me." She turns without a sound, just looking blankly into the void.
"Please, Maylin, what's wrong?" I ask, reaching out for her hand. They've lost their warmth, now only hollow and cold. "Just let me help, ok? Everything will be fine again. Please? Just please... look up."
Her eyes flutter, before looking into my eyes. "There's nothing wrong, Torad, nothing at all..."
Enough was enough. I grab her by the shoulders, and I turn her head towards mine. She looks at me with wide, dull eyes: its the first look closest to any expression she's made. It's unfamiliar, almost like looking at a stranger for the first time. I can't understand it.
"Maylin, look at me! You need to tell me what's going on! You don't sleep! You don't eat! Just tell me, what is happening? Please, just look at me..."
Maylin looks up, barely, and just whispers, "I'm sorry Torad."
A glint of light blinds me for a second, and then a searing pain rushes through my abdomen. I sputter for breath as I feel a knife protruding from my stomach. Looking up at Maylin, I see her staring at me with newly found viciousness, her eyes darkened, her mouth curled into a snarl.
"Now," starts Maylin, "Where is my husband?" She sinks the knife deeper into my stomach.
A sound echoes from my throat... something like... laughter. "Heh, heh heh heh..."
I feel the skin around my face tearing apart. With a clawed hand, I reach up and rip open my torso, exploding with wiring and shards of metal opening up from the depths of the flesh. The legs and arms expand, leaving behind a pile of rotting muscle and flesh as metallic limbs rise in their place. The skin face melts away as a single, glowing eye watches coldly.
The girl screams and falls. I rise above her, drawing out the bloodless blade from my stomach. So stupid. So idiotic. I press the blade against her cheek and slowly caress it with the knife. Blood spills like tears from the wound.
I lean in to stare into her eyes, shaking with tears and terror. Such lovely eyes...
"Look at me."
"Maylin!" shouts Jorrah across the street, waving. "You seem to be doing better, eh? Torad's been real worried!"
I smile, and wave back. "I'm feeling much better, thanks!" I yell back. "Say, would you like to come in for a cup of tea?"
STRATEGY Enoch is an ADC, making him suitable for the bottom lane above all else. Although his design is based off his ability to take on the appearance of other champions, this tactic proves to be a weak approach at Enoch. Players will easily be able to distinguish Enoch from their fellow champions, but perhaps in the right moment, they will be distracted or confused enough to be fooled by this ability (however unlikely it may be). Instead, Enoch should use his ability to empower his own attacks against these champions, becoming immensely strong in lane.
In early laning phase, Enoch should have worked to lock down at least a kill to gain a Face of either the ADC or the Support. If Enoch does not have a kill on either of these champions, he will be unable to use the Face abilities. Depending on which Face you have on at the moment, that is the champion to focus on for the rest of the laning phase. Face champions will be forced to play in a different manner than their peers, preventing them from being fully active in a fight. This allows Enoch to get ahead in lane and the game early on. Switching Faces is recommended as frequently as possible, as it will require the enemy champions to change their gamestyle suddenly, forcing them to become more wary of your attacks if their Face is used. ADC's may stay more passive, while Supports may take less risks in making plays.
Before starting any fight, activate IDENTITY CRISIS to ensure your survival, as well as dealing as much extra damage as you can to the Face champion. Enoch should follow with LANGWIDERE, preferably against the Face champion, and then focusing them down with three successive UNSTABLE INVENTION shots.
PEEKABOO can be used to either initiate a fight in laning phase, or to finish off a target. The burst from this ability is deceptively strong. The initial damage to the Face champion, as well as the increased combat stats, allows Enoch to deal more damage in a fight more quickly. Combining PEEKABOO with UNSTABLE INVENTION can annihilate a Face champion in seconds, so using this to take out the opposing team's ADC or APC is encouraged. This is the preferred method, so that the Face champion can be killed off as quickly as possible. On the other hand, Enoch can use PEEKABOO to finish off the Face champion ONLY. As PEEKABOO deals damage to the Face champions wherever possible, Enoch can guarantee himself at least one kill with this method, but it far less useful as PEEKABOO's attack speed may be wasted.
In teamfights, Enoch should act as any normal ADC should and shoot down their victims from the backlines., PEEKABOO should be activated in the heat of battle, allowing Enoch to dish out UNSTABLE INVENTION with extreme ease and burst down his Face champion.
LANGWIDERE is an extremely unique ability, and it can help set up for finishing plays in any fight. An afflicted champion killed with a well-placed
can be the key to catching up to the rest of the wounded enemy champions to finish them off. Another tactic is simply escape with LANGWIDERE, but this is a rare case, as the enemy champion is unlikely to be away from their teammates. You do not have to personally kill the afflicted champion to reactivate LANGWIDERE, so don't be too focused on killing them first. Find your Face champion to hunt down, then turn your attention to LANGWIDERE. If they're the same champion, lucky you!
