A young, incompetent student of Piltover's academies, Shyla preferred to use her ingenuity for her own amusement, rather than the advancement of scientific progress. She would go on to create MIDGE (Manual Inter-Dimensional Gateway Equipment), a device capable of recognizing and creating portals to other dimensions across the multiverse. With unrivaled freedom, Shyla explored the countless worlds she came across and even created her own pocket dimension known as The Dimension. In time, Shyla longed for her own world and attempted to travel back, only to find that she had long forgotten the world she once called home. With a mind lost across the dimensions, Shyla continues to weave through space as she searches for a way home to her family at last.

ABILITIES Used DOTA 2 Icons. They worked :D.

Passive: THE MULTIVERSE THEORY

  • With the technology of MIDGE, Shyla is able to recognize and utilize Fractures: unstable distortions in spacetime. Entering Fractures allows Shyla to teleport across the map uncontrollably to a random location (Fractures will not spawn Shyla in either team's bases).

  • Once a Fracture is used, it is consumed and cannot be used again. Shyla begins with 5 active Fractures across the map, and upon consuming one, it requires 120 seconds for a new Fracture to spawn.

Q: DIMENSIONAL TEARS (Cooldown: 10/9.5/9/8.5/8 seconds) (Cost: 50/60/70/80/90 mana)

  • Active: Shyla fires a blast from MIDGE at a small target area and opens a tear in space, distorting reality at the location for 7 seconds. Enemy units hit by the initial blast take 40/80/120/160/200 (+75% AP) magic damage, and enemy units near the tear take 2/3/4/5/6 (+75% bonus AP) magic damage per second.

  • If Shyla damages an enemy champion with Dimensional Tears, the cooldown for this ability is refreshed. This effect can occur up to 2 times before Dimensional Tears goes into cooldown. Each additional cast continues to cost mana.

  • If at least 3 Dimensional Tears are active at once, Shyla can reactivate Dimensional Tears at a target location to absorb the energy of the 3 Dimensional Tears. After a 2 second delay, a zone known as The Dimension is opened up at the target location for 3 seconds, dealing 120/180/240/300/360 (+75% AP) magic damage to all enemy units caught in the area. For each additional Dimensional Tear absorbed, Shyla deals an additional 10/20/30/40/50 magic damage to enemy units caught in the area.

  • Additional Dimensional Tears created by other abilities deal 50% of the damage that Dimensional Tears would deal and last for 4 seconds. These Dimensional Tears can be used to create The Dimension.

W: ALTERNATIVE REALITY (Cooldown: 15 seconds) (Cost: 80/90/100/110/120 mana)

  • Active: Shyla creates a pocket dimension in a small zone around herself, disconnecting herself and her surroundings from the world for 2 seconds. All projectile attacks and abilities that collide with Alternative Reality phase through it, negating any damage or effects from the projectile that Shyla or allied champions in Alternative Reality would have taken. Allied units beyond the zone will take damage if they are in a damaging projectile's path.

  • Enemy units that come in contact with the zone of Alternative Reality will be stunned for 0.5/0.75/1.0/1.25/1.5 seconds on impact.

E: INFINITE PARALLELS (Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8 seconds) (Cost: 40/50/60/70/80 mana)

  • Active: Shyla fires open a Dimensional Tear below herself, and Shyla disappears through it, becoming untargetable for up to 0.5 seconds. During this time, Shyla may reactivate Infinite Parallels to target a nearby location. If Infinite Parallels is not reactivated, then Shyla bursts forth from her current position, applying the same effects.

  • Upon reactivation, Shyla creates another Dimensional Tear at the target location and bursts forth, dealing 60/100/140/180/220 (+100% bonus AP) magic damage to all enemy units near the point of arrival. If Infinite Parallels targets a location where a Dimensional Tear already exists, Shyla bursts from the target Dimensional Tear instead and 50% of the mana cost is refunded.

R: RETURN TO THE DIMENSION

  • Passive: The Dimension must be open in order to activate Return to the Dimension

  • Active: Shyla targets an enemy champion and then dashes toward the enemy champion, ignoring unit collision. Upon reaching the target enemy champion, Shyla immediately opens a Dimensional Tear and knocks them back into the Dimensional Tear, following through and causing both champions to become untargetable for the duration.

  • After 0.5 seconds, Shyla erupts from The Dimension with the enemy champion, knocking them up for 0.5 seconds and dealing 250/350/450 (+90% AP) magic damage to all enemy units caught in The Dimension, increasing damage based on the target's missing health.

  • Upon successfully killing an enemy champion, Shyla's cooldowns are all refreshed, except for The Multiverse Theory and Return to the Dimension.

LORE:

In a brilliant flash of blue light, Shyla stepped out into the cobblestone streets of Piltover once more, ignoring the startled cries of nearby citizens as she briskly walked past them all. MIDGE clanked on her shoulder as Shyla wandered down the street, inspecting every detail. Nothing seemed out of place just yet. She peered up at the clock tower above her, ticking onto 5:25. 5 minutes left. No time left to waste. Places to be, people to see.

"Hey! STOP!" an officer yelled from across the street. "STOP!"

Shyla didn't bother to look behind her. Taking deep breaths, she readied herself, looking steadily at the cobblestone ahead of her through a stunned crowd. She broke out into a run, shoving aside women and children as she weaved through the crowd.

"STOP!" the officer yelled one last time.

Shyla gave a quick wink at a rather handsome boy as she passed by, then pressed a small gray button on her wrist. As her feet left the ground, a burst of blue light flashed before her eyes, and Shyla felt herself falling through. The world began to shimmer into glass, melting and molding with one another as she watched helplessly. Colors blended with one another, her eyes watching the world twisting and turning as it should. Peaceful. Beautiful.

And in an instant, the shimmering world shattered into pieces, and Shyla fell to the ground, ungracefully tumbling onto the floor. The people had crept back into their homes, leaving the streets empty and quiet. She looked about her, only to see that the sun was setting. She fled into the darkness of the alley, and with heaving breaths, Shyla peered out at a small, yellow-brick house.

RING... RING... RING... RING...

6:00. Shyla looked out, waiting, counting in her mind. 1... 10... 35... 59... 60. Late. Maybe.

Shyla crept out into the street, stepping into the warm glow of the sunset and taking slow steps toward the front oak door of the house. She raised a small fist and knocked on the door. Knock, knock, knock. A tall, aging woman opened the door and looked down at Shyla with wide eyes.

"Shyla? Is that you?" asked the woman. "What happened? How di - ?"

"Hi mom," said Shyla, her eyes looking longingly at her mother. Tears began to well in her eyes, drop by drop. Her head fell hanging, and she shook quietly as her voice began to tremble. "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry... for forgetting... for leaving for so long..."

Without hesitation, her mother embraced her, warming Shyla's quietly weeping face with the soft beat of her own heart. Shyla felt herself unable to be consoled as she cried tear after tear into her mother's chest. Her mother gently stroked her hair with loving hands and whispered to her words of clarity and comfort, a voice Shyla had dreamed of for so long.

She had been lost for so long... her home... her family... all faded in her memory, but now... now she was ho -

"Mom?" suddenly said a voice. Shyla's heart stopped dead cold. Her breathing turned frantic, irregular. Her head turned slowly to look behind her. There, stood Shyla, but not Shyla. She wore the robes of a Piltovian academic, standing a little taller than Shyla with several thick books in her hands. Her eyes fluttered rapidly through a pair of spectacles, just like Shyla's did when she was confused. Her hair was longer that Shyla's, and it seemed to be a different shade.

"Wha - " started the mother. "But how - "

Shyla's heart pained as she pushed her mother down to the ground, fleeing back into the streets, back into the darkness with tears streaming from her eyes. The warmth of the sun faded as Shyla sobbed quietly to herself, shaking as she peered from the corner of the alley, watching her mother, still on the ground in shock, being picked up gently by Shyla. The girl looked up, and met eyes with Shyla.

Turning away from the scene, Shyla wiped the tears from her eyes and pushed away the light. Looking down into the solemn, empty streets of Piltover, she readied MIDGE, and fired a blast. Blue energy burst forth from thin air, and the light beckoned her toward it. For a second, Shyla looked back toward the setting sun, longing for one final glimpse. But nothing. There was nothing left for her in this world. Perhaps another then.

She took a step forward into the light, and as the world began to shimmer around her once again.

"Not all who wander are lost," whispered Shyla.

I think her passive need to be butchered and replaced. TBH it's just way too RNG and serves not much tactical purpose except for "oh no he's chasing me let's warp away randomly".

The rest of her abilities are super interesting mechanic wise and I definitely think they can work well

Tune Shylas numbers down for her Q, because with her current damage and usage, her Q is super OP. I think tone down Q damage for sure. I also honestly think you can remove the damage over time effect. Its a bit pointless and gives the enemies a bit to much to track considering what else this ability does.

I think her W, again is super interesting mechanic wise, but a bit overtuned. Maybe decrease the duration of the actual effect and either make the stun more conditional or shift it to another ability. If you removed the stun completely I actually think that's ok regardless.

For Shyla's E, I think it's actually well done, so that can be kept the way it is.

Now to her Ult, again, has the same issues, with overturning but still a cool concept. Tone down the AP ratio and the active effect should be ok. Her refreshed cooldowns are confusing. Is it a passive or is it part of the active? TBH if that is a passive ability I suggest removing it completely as that is really quite strong. If it is only active during the Ult duration then, yes, I think that it's actually ok.

Overall, good ideas and concepts, just a bit of overtuning.

Just to let you know: you accidentally called Shyla Skylar a few times. It was kind of confusing, you might want to fix that.
