This is just an ability update for Nocturne and it is more focused on him being an assassin JGL rather than a Bruiser or Fighter.

Lets begin

Passive: Fearful Thoughts

When ever a champion that was recently feared (3 seconds) by Nocturne tried to use a champion enhancing ability such as a shield, AS buff, heal, MS buff or others of sorts have their effectiveness reduced.

Effectiveness of spells reduction: 15 / 25 / 35 %

**Q: Dusk Bringer **

ACTIVE: Nocturne sends out a shadow blade in a line that leaves a Dusk Trail on its path, dealing physical damage to enemies it passes through and causing enemy champions hit to also leave a Dusk Trail behind their movement for 7 seconds.

Target Range: 1200

Speed: 1400

Mana Cost: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80

Cooldown: 10 / 9.5 / 9 / 8.5 / 8 seconds

PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 60 / 105 / 150 / 195 / 240 (+ 75% bonus AD)

MOVEMENT SPEED: 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35%

BONUS AD: 15 / 25 / 35 / 45 / 55

While on the Dusk Trail, Nocturne is Ghost ghosted and gains bonus movement speed and bonus attack damage.

W: Evanescence

Nocturne channels for 0.5s before becoming one with the shadows making him invisible for a set amount of seconds. Once Nocturne comes out of his Evanescence he fears all enemies. Fleeing targets give Nocturne a movement speed bonus as well.

TARGET RANGE: 425

Fear Range: 500

Fear duration: 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 seconds

Mana Cost: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80

Cooldown: 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 seconds

E: Shadow Distortion

Nocturne flies to the targeted champion dealing damage. If the target has Dusk Trail on them the range of the ability increases. If multiple enemies has Dusk Trail then Nocturne will target one champion while sending fake shadows of himself to the champions he didn't target.

Range: 500 (1000 if Dusk Trail is on the enemy)

Cooldown: 12 / 11.5 / 11 / 10.5 / 10 seconds

Physical Damage: 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 (+ 100% Total AD)

**R: Paranoia **

ACTIVE: Nocturne applies Near sight icon near sight to all enemy champions for 4 seconds.

While Paranoia is active, Nocturne can activate it again to dash to the target enemy champion, dealing them physical damage and fearing all those around him.

Cooldown: 150 / 125 / 100

Mana: 100

Effect Radius: Global

Target Range: 2500 / 3250 / 4000

Physical Damage: 150 / 250 / 350 (+ 80% Total AD)

I think the rework is an amazing idea because it gives Nocturne possible ganking options pre 6 and his kit synergy is really good and hitting your abilities rewards you for playing him correctly.

seeing as I play nocturne in jungle primarily I will toss in my two cents but I do like that you are trying to bring him up to date.

firstly the new proposed passive, you outlined it to make him more of a support killer, with this passive reducing but not negating the effect of buffs on enemies. now what I would suggest.

Passive: Night Terror: Enemies attacked by nocturne are initially feared with the first attack, continued attacks render the target Terrified (reduced stats across the board), lone targets are affected more than grouped targets (numbers may vary, but treat like kha'zix unseen threat for the actual radius)

Q: largely unchanged

W: Passive: while not actively invisible nocturne will generate terror, activating this ability consumes terror, Max terror generation is 8

W: Active: as you described with the exception that nocturne can only remain invisible as long as he has enough terror, unused terror is used to fear nearby enemies, this ability can be buffered with Paranoia to cause a fear explosion centered on his primary target which sends non target enemies scattering with increased speed while feared

E: largely unchanged from how you proposed it with the exception, The primary target takes extra damage equal to a % of its missing health plus a % of targeted allies, non primary targets are feared for a short duration. meaning it rewards you for landing your dusk bringer on more targets but can still be used as an assassin tool for single targets.

R: Largely unchanged

Its not perfect but it doesn't restrict his passive to mainly dealing with supports and mages or tanks if you include the ones with sheilds
