20 bans per team idea.

So here is my idea Riot. We all know that there are too many champs in the game and we need more bans to balance out the cancer that we see every game. So to start firstly in the client there will be a new tab called bans. There you will assign what champs you want banned, based on what role you are playing so that when you enter a game that champ will be already banned. For an example:

TOP: Kayle JGL: Mordekaiser MID: Ryze BOT: Kaisa SUPP: Yuumi

Then lets say I got top so Kayle get banned, and then my team has all their champs already banned too. So now we have our 5 bans:

Kayle Shaco Akali Xayah Rakan, these are all example of what my team would have banned along with my kayle.

Then you go into the second ban phase where you see what has been banned and start the second ban phase where you can coordinate with your team what you want the rest of the bans to be.

It must be noted that bans can overlap so you have to think about what you want to ban because you wont see until both teams put all their 20 bans way. This would make the game more balanced 100%.

Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day.

I think it is safe to say now already, that you can increase it to 20 bans / team, bans themselves are pointless at least in Solo Q. If you are any competent you will probably play well regardless of the matchup. Bans are just the source of lot of toxicity and griefing and they don't solve anything in Solo Q, because you don't know your opponent. It would be a good thing, but people generally misuse the system and ban champions your teammates would play, ban new champions in normal draft so nobody can pick them up. Really it is the only reason why it isn't worth to pick up champs with high banrate, because you will never get to play them. Not to mention the hysterias, when one person wants everyone to ban his counters, and if you don't, he will be toxic, and if you do, then he can still get matchups he will suffer in, so there is no good outcome.

Bans are just placebo boy, because they don't solve anything in Solo Q. It might actually hinders learning to play against certain champions and with certain champions. The best would be to just remove this whole system, because at least I can't make any real use of it.

There are many things wrong with your idea first that when 20 champs get banned people who are starting out and have less than 20 champs won't have even 1 champ left to play.

Second 20 champs is a ridiculous amount of champions to ban in any game no matter how many exist because even if you were to get 20 bans there will still be at least 5 champs in each category that will be broke and someone will pick.

And finally the main issue with your idea is that most champs while considered a certain position can actually be played in most if not all other positions like for example 90% of tops can also be jg's, mids and in this meta I'm even seeing them as supports and ADCs so essentially there's no real way to classify them in a certain pick and have it be correct for a ban.

And so if a with 20 marksmen banned the adc role wont exist.

Or how about we ban every prevalent top laner aside from our first pick so the enemy has to go Trundle , who they have no experience on.

20 bans has been suggested so many times, dont you think they wouldve been implemented if it was a good idea?

My advice is: learn how to draft better. In the first place you don't need bans until you're high diamond or higher. That's because if you're good you can even beat a hard counter. Also, in competitive play bans are useful because players want to play certain strategies and some champions, if played well, could completely destroy those strategies. In solo Q you'll likely never have a team-wide strategy.

Let's say you want to play mid Veigar: you have to consider Veigar's weakpoints, ban the champion you'd hate the most to be against (probably an assassin) and then you have to choose whether you pick Veigar even if you see a champion you don't like to lane against or if you pick first. Be smart about the draft and be flexible with your picks. If you're a one trick you'll have to become really good to climb.

10 per team would be too much alrdy.

i think 7-8 per team would be nice tbh.
