Yasuo rework idea

Ok so I was thinking about Yasuo and how to fix him and so I came up with these changes. I'm hoping to keep his late game power but nerf his early game as it seems to powerful especially for a late game hyper carry. Think Fiora as well since she is getting nerfed because of her late game power but too strong early game. So these changes are going to keep his mid and late game power but nerf his early game power.

Passive: exactly the same no changes

Q: revert back to the way it was before the nerf

W: wind wall will now have a set amount of projectiles it can block before it breaks or disperses... same cool down and it will scale so lvl 1/2/3/4/5 it will block 2/4/6/8/10 projectiles with a cool down of 20/19/18/17/16

E: make it have charges like akali ult so that lvl 1/2/3/4/5 and he will have 2/4/6/8/10 dashes with a cool down of 4 seconds for a dash charge through all ranks

R: exactly the same but remove the armour shred as I find it a bit overpowering since he gets 100% crit chance anyway.

Tell me what you people think about it.

That's just a huge massive nerf to a champion that's pretty underpowered in higher elos...

don't know how over / under powered he is at higher elos, but the majority of the community is bronze-gold

he is banned in every game I play now that the new ban system is in place, the other day his banrate was at 82% for the day, right now his weekly ban rate is 70.2%

with a ban rate like that the community at large clearly has a problem with him and something needs to be done. This idea seems fairly reasonable as it doesn't completely gut him.

Wind wall doesn't seem like a meaningful nerf imo, I know your goal was to hit him in the early game and keep him as a late game hyper carry, but for instance with the wind wall suggestion, most people at low level cant fire too many projectiles in the time the wind wall would normally go away anyway, so it doesn't really feel like a nerf so much as adding a bit of counter play (focus fire) for his early game. But imo it is counter play no one will want to utilize because you are literally just wasting time doing 0 damage to anything, and probably opening yourself up to an engage either by Yasuo or his team. To make it more meaningful the scaling could be reduced so it blocks 1/2/3/4/5 projectiles, or even 1/2/4/7/10 (But riot is afraid of weird numbers) That way his early game still takes a meaningful hit, but his late game is preserved.

the E change I do actually like, this definitely changes his early game as he wont be able to chase you to the edge of the earth and back at lvl 2. He will have to prioritize either sticking power / chasing ability, or damage with his Q.

R change I agree with as well.

Yasuo needs the armor shred of his ult...I know it sounds gimmicky, but all melee carry champions have gimmicks like that to be able to be able to survive.

If he didn't have that, he would not be able to build a defensive item or two as he would need armor pen in his build since crit/AD alone is easily mitigated by armor.

See, Fiora and Yi both have true dmg so they can build a defensive item or two, Tyrn gets his ult so defensive items aren't necessary, Riven gets a low CD shield.

But with 100% crit the armor shred on his ult really isn't needed. He will still be able to basically 1-2 shot a squishy, but will have to actually work for it (slightly) to kill a tank, as should be the case.

Yasuo, unlike every other melee carry, has no way to survive against a tank or out DPS a tank without his armor shred.

While I think from a design perspective this isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's not consistent for other melee carries.

aye look another yasuo ner fot a champion sitting at 50% winrate and is only banned in 10% of games in plat because literally anyone who is a potatoe knows how to abuse yasuo.

seriously OP i like the effort here, its better then halve the other things i read about yasuo. but looking at your OP.gg you have played about 6 games of yasuo. i don't think you understand why this would be bad for him because you have no idea how he works.
