http://pre14.deviantart.net/0014/th/pre/i/2014/184/f/8/zelos_chosen_of_the_blades_by_aphanopanop-d7p544l.png Zelos is an aggressive fighter who excels at all-inning his opponents. The longer a fight goes on, the better of a chance that Zelos will enter a dance of blades, increasing his damage output by a large margin. Zelos' main strength is dueling, but in teamfighting he can easily pick off enemies with Ionian Will, or initate a fight, which allows him to lay down heavy AoE damage with Whirlwind Strike. Zelos struggles against poke spells and disengage, and a good way of fighting him is wearing him down slowly.

Categories: Fighter, Assassain

Auto-attack: Forward slice from his blade Range: 125

Abilities Passive: Dance of Blades - http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/3/icons_2690_btn.jpg When Zelos casts an ability, his next auto-attack will be empowered for 1.5 seconds, and will strike twice. If this passive is used 3 times in quick succession (4.5 seconds timer after first passive), Zelos will enter a Battle Fugue, will get a burst of movement speed (60) and every auto-attack will strike twice for 6 seconds.

Q: Whirlwind Strike - http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/16/icons_15776_btn.jpg Zelos whirls his blades around him, dealing 40/60/80/100/120(+80%AD) to any enemies within 250 Range. If Zelos is in a battle fugue, this ability's cooldown is lowered by 50%. Cooldown: 10/9/8/7/6 Range: 250 Mana Cost: 25

W: Hiten Style - http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/lol.gamepedia.com/a/a2/HitenStyle.jpg?version=80a874790bbed5ee4f71050012da3b03 Passive: Zelos' basic attacks heal him for 5 / 7 / 9 / 11 / 13 health. Active: Zelos leaps to the far side of a target, dealing 20/40/60/80/100(+40%AD) physical damage plus bonus true damage equal to double the amount healed by Hiten Style in the last 3 seconds. Hiten Style's passive healing is disabled while this ability is on cooldown. Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8 Range: 175 Mana Cost: 50

E: Zealous Charge - http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/12/icons_11595_btn.jpg Zelos dashes 425 units. If he dashes towards an enemy champion, nearby (600) allies gain a burst (20/30/40/50/60%) of attack speed for 2 seconds. Zelos gains 40/50/60/70/80 Armor and Magic Resist and 20/30/40/50/60% Tenacity during the dash. Cooldown: 10 Range: 425 Mana Cost: 35

R: Ionian Will -http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/2/icons_1484_btn.jpg Zelos impales a champion, stunning them for 1.5 seconds. After impaling them, he can recast the ability to jump to a target location within 325 Range with the target enemy, dealing 100/250/400(+100%AD) physical damage to the target and 80/200/320(+80%AD) physical damage to any other enemies within 150 units. If Zelos hits three or more enemy champions with this ability (including the impaled target), Zelos enters his battle fugue. Range: 200 Cooldown: 120 Mana Cost: 100

Lore: The Ionians have developed some of the most breathtaking and deadly martial arts on all of Runeterra – just one manifestation of their pursuit of enlightenment. The most remarkable blade style to emerge, however, was the unusual byproduct of foreign intervention. Master Lito was a swordsman whose teachings were sought by ruling classes from nearly every city-state. His art was a highly guarded secret, but it was said that swords would breathe in his grasp. He withered unexpectedly from a mysterious disease which baffled the brightest of Runeterran physicians. When he died, he left behind Zelos and Irelia, his son and daughter, and a truly unique weapon. Zelos became a Sergeant in the Ionian military and left to seek assistance from Demacia immediately prior to Noxus' invasion of Ionia. On the way, he encountered a Noxian scouting party. Zelos and his troops easily overwhelmed the party and swiftly killed them, but that left a burning question in Zelos' mind. He decided to head back around to Ionia to stop the immediate invasion, much to the protest of his troops and advisors. Zelos' battalion was small; marching into what would soon become Noxian ground was looked at as suicide, but Zelos was determined.

Zelos fought his first battle a few days later; the Noxians were strong, and Zelos lost most of his men in the ensuing battles. Still, he continued to push further and further into the Noxian forces, killing all that he met without pause. His troops began questioning his sanity, and as their numbers thinned further, the rest ended up deserting him. Eventually, Zelos was the only one left, and as that day dawned, he found himself fighting a whole battalion of Noxian soldiers alone. The soldiers had him surrounded, and just as the moment looked most bleak, he heard a faint singing coming from his blade as he fought. He focused his resolve until the singing was the only thing he could hear, then he danced a deadly dance of blade, effortlessly avoiding all of their strikes as he cleaved them all. A few battles later, and the Noxian soldiers began retreating. After all the dust had settled, Zelos was broken by the loss of his comrades and the near destruction of his nation, and lived in solitude, until he mustered the courage to seek out Irelia, in the fields of justice.

Well firstly, I like the visual design of the champion. However you should get rid of the cloud thing and the scarf. Also with that long hair and face i'd make it a her instead. Also the visual work for the blades do not have to be so dramatic or detailed. There can be beauty in simplicity and I believe it'd be better for the blades more united or together. An idea would be to have them represent the yin-yang. The top scimitar is white with a black gem in the top and the bottom is black with a white gem.

Secondly, those abilities need some serious redesigns. He'd be retardedly overpowered in a team fight and ganking him would actually work to his advantage. Also you could very easily build him as a brawler and suddenly you have a Garen who does more damage than your adc and apc does combined in teamfights.

Here's what i'd do: His Whirlwind Swing's cd is stupidly low for something that can easily be triggered so move that around or delete it. Change Hiten Style's active to be a melee ranged ability and have it be something similar to Irelia's stun/slow move. If you heal over a certain amount of health on the targeted champion it's a stun and if not then it's a slow I wouldn't give it true damage but I would keep the ad ratio. I'd change Zealous Charge into an MS and AS group buff instead of a dash because his ult is already one. His ult is just way too overbearing and his passive battle fugue is absolutely retarded to have on a passive. Instead I would give him a short stun ability on his passive with the consecutive hits and move his battle fugue onto his ult. Also Zealous charge's defense steroid is also stupidly strong. Make both of them an activated passive. Something like he locks onto a target champion and dashes to them dealing however much Zealous Charge does while gaining 45/55/65 Armor and MR with 20%/30%/40% tenacity and for 5/6/7 seconds enters Battle Fugue which allows him to double hit every hit with 70%/80%/90% of Zelos' AD, Zelos is then locked to the targeted champion and cannot move towards nor attack any other champion until either the targeted enemy is dead or Ionian will is down however he can cast moves and Whirlwind Swing is set on a 1.5 second cd.

Of course i'm no Riot champion designer so take what i'm saying with a grain of salt.

I forgot to mention that his ult is completely redesigned to: "Something like he locks onto a target champion and dashes to them dealing however much Zealous Charge does while gaining 45/55/65 Armor and MR with 20%/30%/40% tenacity and for 5/6/7 seconds enters Battle Fugue which allows him to double hit every hit with 70%/80%/90% of Zelos' AD, Zelos is then locked to the targeted champion and cannot move towards nor attack any other champion until either the targeted enemy is dead or Ionian will is down however he can cast moves and Whirlwind Swing is set on a 1.5 second cd."

I think you might have misunderstood some of the ranges of his abilities. I was careful not to overdo it with the mobility because of the strength of Zelos' 1v1. Also, let me say that the art is not mine, and was the closest I could find for the visual design of the champion.

His W is a melee ranged ability, only 175 range that offers a small amount of combat mobility but little else. His Q is meant to be spammy to synergize with his passive, that's why I made the damage pretty tame. Also Battle Fugue used to last 3 seconds early on, so I could change Q to 50% reduction to compensate, 1.5s CD for 6 seconds is pretty outrageous

Thanks for the comments!
