Auto-attack: Throws a pair of scissors, needles and other sewing equipment.

Abilities Passive: Prospect http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/16/icons_15801_btn.jpg Periodically every 8 seconds, four pockets of magic will be revealed in a random area within 1000/875/750/625/500 units. These pockets will be colored Blue, Red, Green, and Purple, and will remain there for 8 seconds (Spawns one of each color gem at a random location). Upon touching one of these pockets, Raina will store the magic in a gem, which will hover above her head. She can store up to 3 of these gems at a time. When Raina picks up a gem, it will be added to the end of the list, meaning it will not replace the currently active gem.

Q: Gemstrike Raina throws one of the gems readied above her head at her enemies with a skill-shot, hitting the first enemy and dealing 50/70/90/110/130(+50%AP) Magic damage. If a gem hits a target, they incur the following effects based on what gem Raina is using. E: Adorn Raina adorns an ally's (or her own) armor with one of the gems floating above her head. The effect depends on the different type of gem. R: Magnum Opus http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/1/icons_991_btn.jpg Raina fuses all held gems into a single glittering diamond. Each gem fused will add 50% of its effects to the finished masterpiece. In addition, the Magnum Opus has these effects: Gemstrike: The gem deals 150/200/250(+75%AP) True damage to the target. Adorn: The adorned champion gains 35% Tenacity (stacking with other tenacity items) and 20/30/40 Attack damage and Ability Power. An Adorned Magnum Opus breaks automatically after 100/90/80 seconds. Raina can still pick up two more gems after fusing with Magnum Opus. Magnum Opus cannot be cast if Raina already possesses a Magnum Opus but has not thrown it or adorned it yet. Cooldown: 100/90/80 Mana Cost: 100

Lore: Raina was but a humble tailor living in a small Demacian village. Although her life was quiet, her clothes-making skills were unparalleled, and she was a celebrity of sorts, at least in this village. One day while she was making a special gem-encrusted suit, she found that she could control the movement of the gems through a power deep inside her; one that was not very well understood. Gradually, word got out that she possessed this power: an ancient earthen magic that only one person fully understood. Her, friends, family and members of the town, and even the Demacian government urged her to travel to the larger cities to hone and discover her talents more fully; but she didn't want to. She preferred the simple life in the town, and designing and making clothes was her passion. Eventually, she got so fed up with the constant pressure that she went into the forest, alone on a soul-searching journey. It was there that she met Ryze, who demanded that she go to fully accrue knowledge of this magic. When she refused, he suddenly attacked her without warning. Fearing for her life, she summoned up the power, and threw one of her gems at him, blasting him backwards. Ryze dusted himself off and left without another word, with a smirk on his face. After that day, a seed of burning curiosity finally led to her caving in and journeying to the League of Legends to meet Taric and learn more about the power she possessed. On the way, she figured out that she could mix her talents to make enchanted clothing; a power that would prove useful on the fields of justice.

I do like the this champion but the passive seems really overpowered and should be reduced to maybe like 5% and then scales up to 10% at lvl 9 the 15% at lvl 16 it jsut the 20% seems to much to me

Even though she is Taric TRULY OUTRAGEOUS, she seems to be a jeweler. Evidence: she likes gems, sapphire, ruby, emerald, amethyst. She also, similar to a jeweler, makes deals and attempts to get more money for less. Thoughts on changing her identity?

Otherwise looks like a complex, yet intriguing character. Well done.

In theory an ally champion can be under the effect of magnum opus 100% at the time. I also feel like the dmg on the q, silence duration and stun duration + dmg is too high. If this concept (its rly awesome :D) will be used you should be realistic about the values. I'd recommend lowering the adorned magnum opus to maybe 20/15/15 because it seems pretty op as of right now. Keep up the good work ;)

I have a handful of concerns.

[CLARITY] What happens if she enters a magic pocket but has 3 gems stored already?

Does the field stay there until she's able to consume it? Would the field disappear without turning into a gem? Would one of her gems be replaced by the new one, allowing her to change her stock without consuming mana?

[CLARITY] Her W states that "pockets will be randomly colored Blue, Red, Green, and Purple..." is this going to be "higher random" where there could be multiple pockets of the same color that spawned at the same time? Or would this be "lesser random" where one of each color spawns, but there's no distinct patterns other than that (and the ability's range)?

[GAMEPLAY] May want to make some changes to the Q for the sake of frustration.

As it is, she can stock 3 stuns or 3 silences back to back, completely shutting down any trade potential for some champs, especially early game. Perhaps making it so that 2 gems of the same type can't be stored next to each other would help, despite making it so that she could still have a stun-silence-stun or silence-stun-silence. Increasing the cooldown on this would also help if you wanted to avoid the "no doubles" rule suggested, as 8 seconds would allow even builds where she rushes CDR to have windows to be traded with.

[GAMEPLAY] Her passive seems to be a non-interactive free source of power [GAMEPLAY] Her level 1 power is identical to that of a champion that didn't put a point into an ability.

I think that there's an easy fix to this, making her W's passive her innate passive. She could still use her W to cycle through the gems (unless you'd rather have that be only on her E, in which case she could get a completely new W), but now her W could be given a passive that helps with her identity (perhaps either a passive that triggers when she creates a gem or something based on her current amount of gems). This also opens up the window for her to have more power at level 1 beyond autos.

[BALANCE] Her adorned ultimate seems to grant far more power than her gemstrike ultimate.

Her gemstrike ultimate seems fine, but when it's compared to the potential 35% tenacity, 40 AD, 40 AP, 40 armor, 40 magic resist, 25% attack speed, 15% cooldown reduction, 20 flat armor pen, and 20 flat magic pen that lasts for 80 seconds breathes in you have what is absolutely the best steroid in the game. This ability gets truly outrageous with the fact that someone could get a Magnum Opus, wait for the cooldown to be up and gather 2 gems, and when a teamfight breaks out adorn someone, ult, then adorn another ally, even if the second Magnum Opus would only have 2/3 gem enchants (unless you pick one up from the pools that are almost always around you in that small window). Unless you plan on tuning the numbers way back, I'd make it so that no 2 allies can be adorned with Magnum Opus at the same time (the first one cancelled if the second one is used). The fact that this buff could also last through a teamfight, the enemy team's death timers, and another teamfight points to wanting the duration nerfed.

As far as the stats go, I think it would also provide a meaningful choice if more gems being combined reduced their respective effectiveness. Her ult would always grant the stats it does, but the gem ingredients would be 100% of the ingredient's stats if 1 gem is used, 50% of each ingredients' stats if 2 gems were used, and 33% of each ingredients' stats if 3 gems were used. That way you'd be more inclined to give your marksman only an attack speed + armor pen steroid instead of 3 gems worth of steroids, but your fighters could still benefit from a 3 gem ulted adorn.

[BALANCE] The numbers on her E seem rather high (except for blue gem).

Having no time limit on her gems allows her to have a rather global presence throughout the game. If she were to adorn each of her allies as a teamfight is approaching there would be a lot of stats given to her allies, some of which would last through a whole fight (red & purple). I would either tune this so that it gives subtle boosts over a long period of time or potent boosts with a quick fall off (5-10 attacks/spells). Either way though I would advise proposing some kind of time limit, even if it were so long as 2 minutes, simply so that there's not as much global presence should people try to play to these strengths and look for picks with this "it'll only fall off once my next pick ends" steroid.

[THEME] There seems to be a thematic disturbance going on between the seamstress aspects and the jewel aspects.

Her kit has very strong connections to the jewel aspect, with the only connection I see inherently tied to the seamstress aspect are her autos. While I do think that the two could work together, it almost seems more fitting to rewrite her as a miner/jeweler/noblewoman with her existing as she does. There are multiple ways she could be shifted to be more clothing based should you be inclined to keep it, but in it's current state there's an odd percentage split in her theme allocation.

The kit looks very complex, but if you trim it and rearrange it (and replace the overpowered passive), it sure might be worth a shot. :D I expected more threadful kit, as your current iteration makes her look like a jewelcraftress, rather than a seamstress, but it could work with her fantasy. Finally, send regards to Chao Yuan Xu, as the featured artwork looks really nice. ;)

They should just make this the Taric rework, and change his lore to be similar to this XD. Well, I mean, Taric needs to be tanky and stuff and this seems like a more squishy buffer champion like Sona... So, they could just add in her lore that they're related and release her separately. Loving this concept, though.

I just updated everything.

Passive changed to Prospect's passive. Base damage on gemstrike down to 50/70/90/110/130 from 50/90/130/170/210 Red Gemstrike now has an AD ratio Gemstrike cooldown up to 8/8/7/7/6 from 6 at all ranks. Prospect changed to Fashion Connection: Passive: When an adorned champion kills a unit, Raina also gets 5%/10%/15%/20%/25% of the gold earned by that champion. Active: Raina cycles the active gem for use with her other abilities. Magnum Opus changed to include 50% of the effects of each of its components. (2 Red gems gives the effect of a red gem, add one green gem for 50% of the effects of a green gem as well.) True damage up to 150/200/250 (+75%AP) to compensate.

I don't exactly like the randomness of the gems she gets. It makes it to difficult effectively control your own game, much less your opponent's. If I am playing mid, I pretty much never want the red one, except for maybe the slow, but I could just use the purple one for extra damage and the stun. Yet I am at the mercy of the RNG, more than usual, to get non-red gems. It's like Tetris; you want the square block, but all you get are the stupid straight ones for 5 turns in a row. Now imagine that if you are playing against a mage whom you need to silence. But, having it in an order (like TF's W) would make the ability feel just like TF's.

That being said, I like this idea. It is rather unique (taking ideas from TF's W, the Thresh/Bard minigame, and Karma ult's modification of spells). The idea of a semi-permanent buff is intriguing. And the character background stuff sounds great. The art is really good (though it looks a lot like Redeemed Riven).

On a side note, all of this gem stuff makes me think of the tower defense game Gemcraft. Anyone else get that?

Her W still feels kinda odd, even after you moved it to her passive. The problem is that you can't take it level 1. If you take Q first, you are unable to pick which gem you want, unless you take the one you want to use, last. You might be able to have W automatically up at game start with the option to either get Q or E level 1. Then give W 6 ranks. This allows you to change your gems and still have a skill level 1, kinda like Karma or Nid ults.

And for her ult, when you say "50% reduced effectiveness," does that mean that you just cut every number in half? So half duration, half extra damage, and half armor reduction? What about same-colored gems stored? Is is additive (so 3 blue on a Q would be 4.5 sec silence)?

Her purple Adorn is kinda odd. The duration pretty much depends on that champ's skills. For example, a champ like Cass or Karth would run out pretty quickly with only 30 casts for rank 1. However, Lux would hold on to it for like 10 minutes. A similar issue is with the red one. Just comparing it to minion waves: if Lux runs 2 casts per wave, thats 15 waves or 7.5 min. If Ashe uses the red and only last-hits, she will run out after 5 waves, or 2.5 minutes. Of course, Lux can't cast 2 spells every waves due to mana issues, but my point is the duration. The blue, at rank 1, has a max duration of 6.67 minutes (10 min at rank 2), and the green could technically never run out. Maybe a limit of about 3 minutes? I'm not sure if this is intended.

Her mana costs are low for her Q, considering she can Adorn herself with a blue and have a higher mana regen. She already has one of the highest MP5 in the game (base and growth). Couple this with low Q and E costs (and only 2 skills to use minus the ult), and she is spamtastic. This is really an issue for Riot's Balance team, but i thought i would point it out.

Finally, three gems stored isn't many for a teamfight, especially because she could fire them off in 10 seconds (40% cdr) without Adorning, or she could ult and just have 1 skill until she could reach more gems. In a teamfight, she might be unable to reach the gems because of their positions (next to enemies, over walls, etc), particularly earlier on in the game (1000 range). The 500 range isnt as bad though.

I don't mean to be so critical. I would love to see a champ like this made, but the kit just seems a bit off. It looks much better than it did when I first saw it.

I feel like the champion is a one idea character. All her ability's do is use gems to add buffs CC or some damage to enemy's. The ability's seem like a lot too. 4 spells in 1 ability. And you have 2 like this if it had only 1 it would be fine. I also feel like you should make it more diverse her ability's feel all too similar and frankly boring to play.

I love the amount of thought you put into this. Riot please try and make this work, the champion seems fun and she fits the recent champs you've been making in terms of them being complex and hard to learn but extremely rewarding when mastered.
