Role: Mage, Support, Fighter http://img01.deviantart.net/b24c/i/2014/073/8/6/ao_shin_by_daxtri-d7a5eve.png

Plays most like...: Janna Kennen Jayce

Passive - Luck of the Dragon / Storm's Bite - http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/16/icons_15548_btn.jpg / http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/12/icons_11213_btn.jpg Calm: Critical Strikes by nearby allies reduce the cooldown of Ao Shin's abilities by 1. Storm: Basic attacks deal bonus magic damage to champions, pets and jungle creeps that arcs to two nearby targets. In addition, Ao Shin starts the game with an item called the Maelstrom Orb, which can be consumed to switch Ao Shin into Storm mode. It shatters after taking damage from enemy champions or large monsters.

Q - Healing Rain/Storm Cloud - http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/18/icons_17767_btn.jpg / http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/14/icons_13935_btn.jpg Ao Shin summons a cloud in front of him that travels along the ground for 6 seconds. The speed and direction of the cloud is chosen by Ao Shin; the farther away he targets the ability, the faster the cloud will move. If he casts it at its minimum range, it will remain stationary, whereas if he casts it at its maximum range, it will travel very fast and move very far (2000 units). The cast indicator resembles Hecarim's Onslaught of Shadows indicator. http://lkimg.zamimg.com/shared/guides/67170/images/onslaught_of_shadows.jpg Calm: The cloud will heal allies that are standing in it over time based on Ao Shin's AP plus a flat value. The cloud will also heal Ao Shin and allied minions, but only for 50%. Storm: The cloud will deal magic damage over time to enemies, and will periodically spark with lightning, dealing additional damage. Mana Cost: 60/70/80/90/100 Cooldown: 18/17/16/15/14 Cast Range: 800

W - Gust of Wind/Discharge - http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/12/icons_11960_btn.jpg / http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/11/icons_10341_btn.jpg Calm: Ao Shin targets an area on the ground, then summons a gust to push all enemies from that area 300 units in a direction. This ability functions like Viktor's E and Rumble's ultimate. Range: 550/600/650/700/750 Storm: Ao Shin channels for 1.5 seconds, gathering electrical energy, then discharges it, stunning and dealing magic damage to all enemies within 300 units from Ao Shin. Closer targets get stunned for longer (1.5/1.75/2/2.25/2.5s) and take more magic damage, whereas the furthest targets take 25% of the damage and stun. Mana Cost: 80 Cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12

E - Dragon's Blessing / Electric Assault - http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/12/icons_11990_btn.jpg / http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/17/icons_16093_btn.jpg Calm: Ao Shin dashes to target ally champion, giving them 10%/15%/20%/25%/30% critical strike chance for 4 seconds and guaranteeing that their next basic attack will critically strike. Storm: Ao Shin dashes to target enemy, dealing magic damage and briefly granting him a shield based on his AP. Mana Cost: 20/25/30/35/40 Range: 425 Cooldown: 16/15/14/13/12 - Holds two charges

R - Clear Skies/Stormy Weather - http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/7/icons_6641_btn.jpg / http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/16/icons_15492_btn.jpg Ao Shin either clears the skies or calls a storm, changing his abilities from calm to storm, refreshing the cooldowns of all his other abilities, and gaining effects based on his new form. Calm: Ao Shin and nearby allies gain +100% base health regeneration for 6 seconds. Storm: Ao Shin and nearby allies gain 10%/15%/20%/25%/30% Attack Speed for 6 seconds. Mana Cost: 50/25/0 Cooldown: 60/50/40

This is my idea for a kit for Ao Shin. Let me know what you think about it in the comments! Thanks for reading!

I'm really impressed by the ideas and design of his kit. Many internets to you.

I'm surprised this has gotten so many likes since this is named after an upcoming champ XD Most things named after upcoming champs, or characters from other places get incredible downvotes. XD So congrats are in order for not upsetting too many people. Perhaps they're just excited to see some Ao Shin.

Here's my review on it.

Passive: This could either be incredibly nice or incredibly broken. A passive that deals damage to 3 enemies at all times, and then another where crit hits by allies grant CDR to abilities (And possibly even the Ultimate) is completely broken. Just pair him with high crit ratio champion, and there's your almost instant abilities. The magic damage on his Storm could be incredibly easy wave clearing making him insane early, mid,and late game depending on that magic damage. I really see not many counters to the passive. Also, how close is "Nearby"?

Q I like the idea, but that range is ridiculous. That is twice the range of Varus's Q, and his range is huge. It's pretty much a Lux ult on a Q. Especially with a damage over time effect with chance of MORE damage on it with the whole storm thing. Ao Shin can be in the jungle safe from a team fight and just spam his Q for heals and damage without being hurt at or targeted. This is an insane range on a normal ability that does a myriad of things. You say cast range is 800, but then it goes all the way to 2000? That's a large range. I just can't get over that. This, to me, should have a much shorter range. 600-800 maximum. How wide is it as well? It would make it seem very hard to dodge. This is like Viktor and Anviia ultimate mixed with Lux's ultimates range.

W Just gonna say it. That stun on the storm side is like Veigars, but instead of being conditional (Needing to step on something) it is ANYONE within that radius. You're in a team fight and then BAM the entire team is stunned for 2.5s with NO counter play at max level. Just instant stun. Yes, it has that charge time, but can that be interrupted by damage? And is the radius centered on you or is that 300 units out in all directions? Cause that is a very big distance. Can it charge while he is moving or is he stationary when charging? Imo that stun should definitely be reduced, or make it where the enemies at the edge of it are on slowed and those only directly on top of Ao Shin are stunned. Just having a medium AoE stun is extremely powerful even with a 1.5s cast time. Someone might not notice in a team fight and it just becomes so powerful it might as well be an ultimate. Yes, the closer you are the stronger it gets, and the farther you are the weaker, but even so 1.5s to react to that big of a radius that stuns with no counter once it's released could devastate teams. At least Veigar's can be avoided after it is cast. Just my opinion though.

E This one seems interesting. My question is what do you mean about "Holds two charges"? Does that mean it can be cast twice before cooldown? If so that is ridiculous. Could easily give 60% crit chance for 4 seconds and then bye bye whole teams with that damage. Also, is it targeted or skill shot based? Targeted makes this even worse imo. Especially if facing an Ao Shin. He targets you, and you can't get away from the damage at all. I'd make it a skillshot based dash that only applies effects on the first ally or enemy hit (Depending on what stage he is in).

R Again, how close is "nearby"? Overall no issues here as of now.

Overall: This guys has insane AoE already and buffs galore for his team. He seems to be a backline fighter that just wins a match for his teammates based on the range, damage over time, buffs, and inescapable stuns and damage. This guy can make an entire team fight. I say he needs a few tweaks/nerfs. Overall I do enjoy the design of the kit and what it's trying to go for. A healing and damage role based on forms. This makes him extremely versatile and potentially OP. Still, pretty nice kit. I wonder what the actual Ao Shin will be.

My only problem about this champion is the way he transforms to storm mode. He needs an item?!? Will it take up trinket space or regular item space? If it is on items it will probably be a problem since he will be one item short late game or be calm the whole time. I recommend transferring into a unique filling bar or stacks or status effect. Maybe like every time he gets hit by aa or abilities which gives him a stack , hitting enemy champs with abilities which give a stack or when he finishes his ults he changes form.

Or I'm just confused. Anyways I like his abilities. Gj

I didnt really read his kit, but looking at that design tho...I already want the champ. I love the idea of a four legged long champy dragony thing xD

where are those spell images from?

Best Ao Shin Kit I've seen yet. I love how he is a form swapper but it isn't something as simple as switching stances, it requires commitment to one form or the other at least for a while.

Quick question, when his passive say that allied critical strikes reduce his ability CDs by 1 second, that doesn't mean his ult too, does it? because having that kind of effect apply to ultimates is notoriously unbalanceable (see pre-rework Zilean).

This sounds like a really solid kit for Ao Shin that matches what his theme is and is very unique. I dont know how it would play, but is a good start for Riot to get my new dragon on the Rift!

first off. you are most likely going to get a lot of criticism only because everyone wants an Ao shin haha but not being a troll. i will say on any other champion, i would love it. that fact that this is Ao shin. he needs more of a kicker.. i do like the double ability play like Jayce has in his kit. so i support that. him being a support.. idk, yes all roles are important. but in all aspects, support is the bottom of the 5. and the only reason i say that, chances are Ao shin being a support is like a kick in the face. its not the kit or anything, but the fact it is on Ao shin.. no. if you put this kit or similar duo kit on another champion, you may be onto something. now lastly, this does not work in the end because he really does not bring something "new" into the game.. RIOT is on the idea train that they need to incorporate something new each champion. EXAMPLE: Gnar - transforms Bard - traveling support Azir - creates towers Ekko - his ult to "rewind" time TAHM KENCH- a champion that literally eats champions. and his ult is pretty unique, especially cuz you can travel with an ally.

so overall the kit is great. but Ao shin is going to have to have SOMETHING that makes him something special in the world of LOL. I would alter the kit and create a champion are just the kit. But Ao shin as a support, with nothing THAT explosive in game play. doesnt really match up.

My opinion. nothing more

I really like it honestly, almost simplicit in nature and seems like it'd be fun to play, only, why not have the ult be similar to nids in that it costs no mana?
