Passive - Hextech Gear Shift: When Jayce makes a basic attack against an enemy within melee range he shifts gears to his Mercury Hammer. When Jayce makes a basic attack against an enemy within ranged range he shifts gears to his Mercury Cannon. Once Jayce shifts gears, this passive goes on cooldown for 6 seconds.

  • Mercury Hammer: When Jayce shifts to his Mercury Hammer becoming melee, he surrounds himself with electricity for 4 seconds, gaining bonus movement speed and on hit mana regeneration for the duration. Critical strikes restore twice as much mana.

  • Mercury Cannon: When Jayce shifts to his Mercury Cannon becoming ranged, he overcharges his cannon with electricity for 4 seconds, gaining bonus movement speed and attack speed. For the duration Jayce deals magic damage on hit. The magic damage can critically strike.

Q - To the Skies - Mercury Hammer - First Cast: Jayce is lifted into the sky by his hammer, becoming untargetable for 1.5 seconds. While airborne, Jayce gains sight over walls and in bushes.

  • From the Skies - Mercury Hammer - Second Cast: Jayce dashes at a target location around him, slamming his hammer into the ground dealing physical damage to all enemies hit. Passing through the Acceleration Gate as Jayce dashes will cause Jayce to knock up and away all enemies around him where he lands, a short distance away.

Q - Shock Ball - Mercury Cannon - First Cast: Jayce fires a slow moving orb in a target direction, dealing physical damage to all enemies it passes through. If the orb passes through the Acceleration Gate, it increases in size and speed.

  • Shock Blast - Mercury Cannon - Second Cast: Jayce fires a bolt of lightning in a target direction, dealing magic damage to all enemies in a line. If Jayce hits the orb with the bolt of lightning it will detonate, dealing mixed damage to all enemies around the orb. If the orb has passed through the Acceleration Gate, the explosion will increase in size and damage.

W - Hextech Armor Pack: Jayce throws a Hextech Armor Pack on the ground. When Jayce or one of his allied champions walk over the Armor Pack, they gain a physical damage shield, which lasts until the shield is destroyed. The shield does not stack, but can be refreshed by walking over a new one or replaced by a better one. The Armor Packs linger for 30 seconds, and Jayce can have 3 active at once. Enemies that walk over the Armor Packs destroy them. Armor Packs thrown through the Acceleration Gate are regular shields, and provide bonus armor and magic resist while active.

E - Acceleration Gate: Jayce deploys an Acceleration Gate for 4 seconds, granting all allies who pass through it, including himself, bonus movement speed that decays over 3 seconds. Jacye's and his ally's projectiles that pass through the gate deal bonus magic damage on hit. Projectiles that heal or shield Jayce or his allies that pass through the gate have their healing or shielding power increased.

"Look, up in the sky! It's a Vastayan! It's a ROFL Copter! Even better, it's Hextech Man!" R - Unbreakable Hextech Man! - First Cast: Jayce overcharges his suit and dons the identity of Hextech Man. Hextech Man creates a magical vortex around himself for up to 8 seconds from the living crystal that powers his suit, reducing all, non-turret, damage dealt to himself and allies in the vortex by 25% for the duration. For the duration Jayce gains both the effects of Mercury Hammer and Mercury Cannon, and his auto attacks are considered both melee and ranged, he also ignores thin terrain.

  • Crystalline Retaliation - Second Cast: Jayce's suit explodes with arcane energy, stunning Jayce for 1 seconds but dealing twice the damage, up to a cap, absorbed from the vortex as magic damage to all enemies around Jayce.

Hextech Man

Q - Thunderous Slam: Hextech Man dashes, becoming invulnerable briefly, and slams down on a target area, dealing mixed damage to all enemies around him. If he passes through the Acceleration Gate, he knocks up all damaged enemies and deals increased mixed damage in a larger area.

Uhh.... no dude

You completely would ruin the entire spirit of the champion being a "Use the right tool at the right moment" champion

if you don't like jayce, consider my rework that would up his range, lower his initial resists/base damages and increase his late game strength thus putting him into a hypercarry adc/bruiser hybrid niche instead of being the creepy uncle who takes you to the basement for fifteen minutes before he falls down the stairs and becomes a cripple so is useless after 15 minutes... Obviously an exaggeration but

Jayce currently fills an unhealthy role in the meta, he snowballs hard and then falls into obscurity in most matches, you can run late game builds on him which I personally have more success with but he's limited by his core stats. Hillariously enough the point in the game where jayce is the most powerful is arguably the most abusive incarnation i could envision for him, in which he ruins your lane phase before abusing lethality to throw a truck onto the head of all the squishies on your team. After a bit he just becomes a shitty poke make with a half decent all-in, swapping him to the hypercarry role next to other fighter hypercarries like riven and irelia allows for more parody because by the time he gets that strong there will have been enough time for any selected hypercarries in every lane to also have gotten a chance to be on par with him, which will in turn incentivize and rewarda stronger comprehension of his kit by his pilots.

I personally, as a jayce main, do not agree with his current niche since i view it as unhealthy but your rework will remove all ability to control his transformation and access to his abilities, there are times when you need to QE in melee and times when you need to use your melee abilities to jump onto minions as an escape or reposition (still a mid level cooldown so)

So basically make it so you never right click and just become some weird castr with only half of his abilities? Also why is he suddenly a superhero?!
