I geniunely wish that the new void champion wasn't a human. We need more monsters.

She also look too much like Irelia and Vayne.

At least she's not a millennia old entity inside the body of a teenage girl

I gotta be honest, if this leak is real (looks likely it is) I will be pretty disappointed. Doubly so if it's Kassadin's daughter. The design seems really safe and uninspired, like I've seen this Champion already in the game before.

I don't even mind that she looks humanoid, what bothers me more is that they could have made her super creepy and uncanny, really emphasizing the fact that the Void is a scary place that breaks people. I'm talking something inspired by the girl from the Ring or something, human-looking, was probably once human, but is twisted into something horrifying and has become just a host for something unthinkable. Riot could have flexed their horror muscles even a little, but instead we are getting chick wearing Void suit that harnesses the Void? Is there going to be some kind of struggle against corruption? I just don't see an interesting angle with this design, she seems more like a poor interpretation of Kassadin sprinkled with a smidge of Kayn edge and turned into a woman.

Maybe her lore/voice will change my mind, I don't know though. Feels like a wasted opportunity for sure.

well statistically speaking, players tend to like human champions MUCH more than nonhuman/monster champs. https://nexus.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/2017/11/champ-popularity-mixing-math-art/

Well I like the idea that she is a Void and Human but what I know is , she will be broken like every other void champion

I love the Void. I'm always super excited when anything related to it is mentioned in this game/universe.

I'm also really excited that this is (most likely) Kassadin's daughter at long last.

But... For all the hype I had, this is a little...disappointing. I was totally expecting a Void-corrupted human, but her current appearance seems so conservative. The designers could've really made a creepy looking human to really show off the corruption of the Void. Some hybrid human-insectoid ala Sarah Kerrigan: https://assets.tentonhammer.com/guides/attached_images/000/010/896/medium/KerriganHero.jpg?1468381074 Or since we're going with this "symbiote-suit" thing Venom/Carnage: http://wallpaper-gallery.net/images/venom-vs-carnage-wallpaper/venom-vs-carnage-wallpaper-3.jpg Or even just something akin to the preexisting Void-corrupted like Malzahar, Kassadin, & Rasho. https://pre00.deviantart.net/a737/th/pre/f/2018/007/1/c/1cdbb44d718d36a8dbdded52469080c8-dbz8htq.jpg

Kai'Sa just looks like another slim woman but this time she has shoulder cannons. It's kind of banal and uninspired. The Void is an opportunity for Riot's art team to really show off their ability to make a cool, monstrous being. Instead, we got yet another basic humanoid. Hopefully her VO will make up for this lackluster visual.

Anyone getting a Metroid and Zero suit Samus feel?

We've been hyping the return of Kassadin's daughter for years, so it makes sense that she's at least human like.

Nothing special. They already stated that monster champions are unpopular:

"Monsters have a tough life as it is, being monsters and all, but it also seems like players don’t pick them as much as humanoids. Of the eight monsters, none are currently popular, with only one having been popular at all since we started collecting this data (excluding Aurelion Sol’s debut patch). One theory for their unpopularity is that maybe it’s just easier to identify with—or aspire to be—a badass demon hunter over a lonely crystal scorpion." (https://nexus.leagueoflegends.com/en-gb/2017/11/champ-popularity-mixing-math-art/ )

Looks like their goal was to create a new mainstream champion. Well, they succeeded. Seems like they released too many "unpopular" champs in 2016 (A-Sol, Taliyah, Ivern). So all of the 2017 champs were designed to be mainstream (=safe) and this Vayne 2.0 is no exception.

I can see where some of you are coming from in regards to how she looks but as SwineTV mentioned, monster champs apparently don't do very well popularity wise. So personally, I think if they made her stark raving mad that be awesome. In the little blurb on her reveal page it says that she "endured through sheer will and a symbiotic second skin adapted from a living Void creature" which at first seemed pretty lame because (it sounds like) they're setting her up to be some kind of Bear Grylls ultimate survivor.

BUT I was thinking of it form a logical prospective. If I was lost in the Void I wouldn't think "You know what I should definitely do right now? Take off my cloths and slip into the hide/skin of an animal I found." That makes no sense. How would that help with survival? I can under stand cutting open a tauntaun to stay warm or wearing a lion's skin because you're proud of that kill, but what person in their right mind would pick up the second skin of some eldritch creature and just wear it?

No one. No on in there right mind would do that. Which is why (I think) it would be awesome if she's completely lost it. She's been wandering around in the Void terrified and alone for along enough that when she stumbles upon/takes this symbiotic skin from she's just giggling and crying to herself going "Ya this'll fix things. This'll well help." and shoves her self into it because why not? Up is down at this point.

Personally I think that makes for a better story.

Humans sell much better than monsters. Very few ppl actually like monster champions. I remember Riot saying something like that in one of their year end things.
