Jarvan II: Vessel of Xal'Mhun (Valklore V5.0)

This is the 5th version of a champion concept thread I made 2 days ago that I refined and added on to it. I reworked his lore to make it even more viable; I think this is the closest i'm gonna get it to make sense with the real lore for now. Anyway, please tell me what you think about this concept; your opinions will be appreciated!

This is a Champion concept that I created and thought it would be cool to share with you guys so, here you go! [slayer-jinx-wink] (It's long so, I made a ToC to navigate to what you want to read.) Please, give me your feedback!

BTW, I would make some concept art but, I don't have a computer right now (I will be getting one VERY soon). Even then, in a week and a half, I'll be going to an art school for a bachelor's in game design and the school has those $2,000+ Cintiq tablets in spades that I can use whenever I want during my free time (I've been dreaming about using those suckers for YEARS); expect some art in 2/3 weeks!

1.) LORE (The lore is a work in progress so, just go with it for now.)

IMPORTANT: The only thing I could find on J2 was that he was this badass king of Demacia that saved Xin awhile back and, died (assumably from age). Now, if J2 was in his 50's when he saved Xin who was like in his 20's at the time and 30+ years has passed, that would mean J2 would be in his 80's if he was alive. Now, Let's say J3 was around the same age as Xin 30 years ago; that would also make him be in his 50's now. Taric, Garen and J4 are in their 30's I believe and Lux is in her 20's; I'm assuming J2 died not too long ago, maybe 10 years ago so, he was alive long enough to have known the Demacian champions and, maybe even train the Demacian warrior champs as he was a great warrior king whose been in many battles and wars.

Voidborn "Mhun" Race: Xal’Mhun is a void born. He is of the very intelligent “Mhun” race that has an insatiable hunger for amusement; if a Mhun thinks something will give it amusement/entertainment, it will become interested in it and will catch its attention until it no longer is amused by it.

Mhuns can take interest in anything thus, they’re actually quite docile but, they do have a cruel streak in them. They usually find great amusement in witnessing strong beings vanquish their foes; because of this, they evolved to be symbiotes that provide power to those that they deem worthy as long as they keep defeating their foes; they can even revive the dead if they make a vessel out of a corpse but, the revived beings return to the afterlife if Mhuns separate from them.

Background Story: Jarvan II was a burly wise man that was the great King of Demacia who trained generations of his men to become strong warriors until his time on runeterra came to pass. King Jarvan II was no more but, Demacia would forever remember him as the greatest and strongest king that any kingdom could ever wish for.

One day, a voidborn named Xal’Mhun escaped the Void/Icathia because, he heard that there were many interesting warriors in Runeterra/Valoran. Xal’Mhun traveled many roads, made vessels out of many strong warriors and, killed them when they no longer entertained it along the way until it reached Demacia.

As Xal'Mhun always did when it came to an unfamiliar place, it hide itself in the shadows, observing and gathering info on who the strongest warriors were in the land so he could find a new vessel that would provide a sufficient amount of entertainment for it. He heard many names of the strong but, the one name that was spoken of the most and in the highest regard was King Jarvan II even though he was no more; Xal’Mhun knew that Jarvan II would be it’s greatest vessel yet if it got it’s hands on his corpse.

Xal’Mhun snuck into the royal crypt of the Lightshields, found Jarvan II’s body and, revived him by making him it’s vessel. Xal’Mhun greeted Jarvan II, who was confused and frightened by his revival, and told him that it was the one who revived him and that it did so because, it wanted him to fight for it's amusement. Jarvan II didn’t know what horrible creature has disturbed his eternal rest but, he knew it was wicked; he tried to deny the creature but, it told him that if he refused to do what it wished for him to do, it would take over his body and destroy what he loved the most, Demacia which Xal’Mhun would find it very amusing to see his reaction while doing so.

Jarvan II had no other choice but to keep Xal’Mhun entertained for as long as he could so, he snuck out of his family crypt and abandoned Demacia to keep it safe. Jarvan II, now the newest vessel of Xal’Mhun, now devotes his new life to traveling around runeterra vanquishing evils and protecting the innocent while hiding in the shadows which Xal’Mhun doesn’t mind as long as he entertains it with many battles to come.

2.) IN-GAME APPEARANCE

Jarvan II is this towering burly old man with old heavy battleworn armor with large pauldrons (he was buried with his armor on) fused with Xal'Mhun's purple flesh pulsing with green void energy; his helmet is the same. The very little flesh of his that's visible (his face) is pale,scar-ridden and, aged. His eyes glow green in the cast shadow created by his helmet. He has long unkept silver hair flowing out of his helmet and, he has a long beard of the same color. He has weird spikes protruding out of Xal'Mhun's flesh on the armor such as on the pauldrons, back, elbows, etc. Jarvan II wields a huge old claymore (he used this sword in life; wields with one hand) corrupted by the same Voidborn's flesh that engulfed the armor. Color scheme (on armor/sword) would be purples with vibrant green complements such as the glowing green eyes of Xal'Mhun all around the armor/sword and, pulsing green energy of the tentacles on the armor/sword. He should look like a once Great warrior King that has been corrupted by an unusual power (which he is).

This was the closest image I could find that resembles the Champion in my head (had to tweak The colors); this would at least be a good base. Again, I would make my own art but, I can't at the moment; this will have to suffice for now. Just picture this but with his worn face visible, glowing eyes, long silver hair and beard and, the armor and weapon are more vile/alien like.

3.) NORMAL ANIMATIONS

Standing (neutral): Jarvan II slightly stands in an intimidating combative stance while lumbering over enemies; huge sword in his right hand.

Movement: Jarvan II slowly walks while easily wielding his huge sword; it's intimidating because of his shear size. Maybe a subtle stomping sound could be added because of his size and weight (heavy armor and sword).

Auto attack: Jarvan II effortlessly swings his huge sword but, because him and his sword is huge, the air he creates with his swings slows him down and, bigger people are slower in general. His swings have so much power behind them that it discharges some void energy (partical effects).

5.) SAYINGS

Animation: Jarvan II stands upright, brings his offhand up and, looks at it while channeling void energy in the palm of his hand. He then clenches the hand into a fist, disrupting the channeling followed by going back to neutral stance.

(Perhaps Xal'Mhun could reply to Jarvan II's sayings.)

“How much longer will this old body be in my control?..." Xal'Mhun's reply EX: " As long as you entertain me...”

“I shall use this wicked power for all that is righteous.”

“I will save lives whilst in the shadows... “

“I’m an abomination… No longer man but, not a voidborn either…”

“I must live...live to protect those in need.”

“It’s difficult to control this power…"

6.) TAUNTS

Animation: Jarvan II stands upright, points his gargantuan sword at target then, swings in down, creating a discharge of void energy that creates dust from the force. He then eases back into neutral stance.

“Stay back...it’s for your own good…”

“You’re making a grave mistake…”

Please forgive me for what I might do to you…”

“I will not hold back...even if I could…”

8.) STATS, ABILITIES AND, WHATNOT

Attack: 4 Defense: 8 Ability: 6 Difficulty: 7

Health: 623.48 (+76 per level) Mana: 375 (+60 per level) Base Attack: 54.29 (+5 per level) Attack Speed: 0.621 (+1.5% per level) Movement Speed: 300 Health Regen: 12.6 (+0.6 per level) Armor: 18.33 (+4 per level) Magic Resist: 38.7 (+1 per level)

Role: Tank/Mage

Notes: Jarvan II is a tank first, mage second. All abilities scale off of health; some scale off of ability power also or just ability power. Jarvan II uses mana. Mana costs for abilities aren't too high but not too low. Cooldowns are mid-low duration. Jarvan II is a tank first so, basic attacks and abilities shouldn’t do a whole lot of damage. Most if not all abilities are good for getting the attention of enemy champs as they should for a tank. Jarvan II is a big guy so, his base movement speed and attacks should be slow.

Abilities

  • Passive: Corruptive Pressense

Jarvan II has inherited the cold and sickening aura of Xal'Mhun. Enemy Champions that are within 500 units of J2 will get weakened and slowed by 15%. When J2 auto attacks an enemy, some of his corruptive energy discharges from his swings and goes inside an enemy's wounds, putting a corruption stack on them that will remain for 3 seconds before disappearing and converts 25% of Valklore's base attacks to magic damage. If the maximum of 5 corruption stacks manages to get on an enemy, the stacks will activate “Deterioration” which will deal 20% of an enemy's current health in the spand of 5 seconds and, doubles the percentage of the slow and weaken. No stacks during the duration of deterioration.

  • Q: Void Blast

Mana Cost: 60/70/80/90 Range: 300 2 charges Cooldown: 18 seconds (after exhausting all charges)

Jarvan II unleashes a short range explosion of pure void energy he had stored up in the palm of his hand upon enemies dealing 85/120/160/195/230 damage (+30% AP) (+20% Health) and adding a corruption stack on them. Void Blast can store up to 2 charges at a time; if a charge is used, J2 must wait 1 second to use the second charge; if all charges are used, the ability goes on an 18 second cooldown and if one charge is used but, the second charge isn't used with 3 seconds, Q will proceed to cooldown. If Void Blast creates the 5th corruption stack on an enemy that actives “Deterioration” and if Valklore uses Void Blast on an enemy that already has deterioration, it’ll knock the enemy 300 units back in the targeted direction; if Void Blast knocks back an enemy into another enemy, the other enemy will get some damage and will get a corruption stack. Multiple enemies can get hit with Void Blast at the same time and can get hit by an enemy that got knocked back by it.

Empowered: Void Blast’s distance increases to 350/400/450 and, it does 10%/15%/20% more damage. If used on enemies with Deterioration, the knock back diatance increases to 325/350/375.

  • W: Wicked Splash

Mana cost: 75/85/95/105 Range: 1000 Cooldown: 20 seconds

Jarvan II, with raging void energy in his legs, leaps high into the air towards a targeted area. When he lands, he creates a shockwave of void energy that'll deal 70/125/180/225/280 damage (+10% health) to enemies that get hit by it and puts a corruption stack on them. If Wicked Splash creates the corruption stack on an enemy that activates deterioration and if an enemy that already has deterioration gets hit with Wicked Splash, it will knock up the enemy for 1 second. Multiple enemies can get hit by Wicked Splash. J2 can jump over some walls with Wicked Splash.

Empowered: Wicked Splash creates a bigger shock wave, it's damage increases by 10%/15/20% and, the knock up duration for Deteriorating enemies increases to 1.25/1.50/1.75 seconds.

  • E: Essence Reaper

Mana Cost: 85/95/105/115/125 Range:650 Channeling ability (can be disrupted) Cooldown: 12 seconds

Jarvan II starts absorbing the targeted enemy’s life by using his void powers from a good distance. J2 channels this single target ability on an enemy dealing 15/20/30/35/45 damage per second for 5 seconds while healing for the same amount (+5% Health) (+25% AP). Essence Reaper adds a corruption stack to a targeted enemy for every second until it’s duration is up, the ability is disrupted via taking damage or, the targeted enemy escapes its reach. If Essence Reaper activates Deterioration on an enemy, it’ll stun the enemy for 0.5 seconds and, it’ll deal 15% more damage and heal for the same amount.

Empowered: The stun for deteriorating enemies increases to 0.75/1/1.25

  • R: Wrath of Xal’Mhun

Cost: 5%/7.5%/10% of health per 0.5 second Toggle ability (Toggles off when health reaches 10%; can't be used below and on 10%)

Jarvan II allows Xal’Mhun to take over his body, transforming him into an even more frightening being with an atrocious aura but, because his body is still human at it’s core, the overwhelming void energy now coursing through him begins to deteriorate his body. All abilities become empowered, the passive range increases to 1000, passive slow and weakening increases by 5%, attack speed increases by 10%/20%/30%, base attacks gain 25/50/75 magic damage and, J2 gains 15%/25%/35% movement speed
