[Champion Concept] Laura, the Alternator
Ever wonder what it would be like to have a transforming support? I present to you, Laura!
Laura Spokes was an oddball among her classmates. Sometimes, she was a calm, timid, intelligent bookworm, and other times she became a hotheaded, flirtatious, combative extrovert. Her parents couldn't explain these developments until their visit to a psychiatrist, where Laura was diagnosed with Dual Personality Disorder. The times when Laura would adopt one personality over the other were random, and it was hard to manage for any of her friends. During a long bout of being a bookworm, Laura could create numerous machines, taking after her father. During bouts of combativeness, however, Laura perfected martial arts in a similar fashion to her mother.
The family came across Summoner's Rift on a vacation, and realized that the magic emanating from the enchanted forest allowed Laura to switch between her personalities at will. They requested permission from the Piltovian government to allow Laura to perform research there, which was granted swiftly. However, Laura couldn't avoid becoming a part of the battles performed by the League of Legends, and soon began fighting for the interests of her city as a champion.
Primary role: Support Secondary role: Mage
HP: Midrange HP5: Average MP: Medium High MP5: Average AD: Medium Low AS: Medium Low ARM: Low MR: Upscale MS: 340
Innate: Strength through Circumstances
Bookworm mode: Laura is overly timid, and takes 20% increased effects from crowd control (excludes Airborne, Blind, and Slow). During this time, however, she regenerates a percentage of her maximum health every second she remains under crowd control (excludes Airborne, Blind, and Slow)
Combatant mode: Laura gains a stack of Confidence from crowd control used around her (uses same principles as Kassadin's Force Pulse). At five stacks, her next ability deals bonus magic damage and applies the last form of crowd control used (excludes Airborne, Blind, and Slow) for a short time. Confidence stacks are not gained in Bookworm mode, and changing to Bookworm mode resets Confidence stacks to zero.
Q (Bookworm): Stunner Shot
Laura fires a stun gun with her next basic attack, stunning the target for 1 second. However, this attack deals less damage than Laura's normal attacks.
Q (Combatant): Roundhouse
Laura kicks her opponent with her next basic attack, converting it to, and dealing bonus magic damage. Roundhouse affects structures and wards.
W (Bookworm): Medpack
Laura deploys a medical device to an ally, healing them for a large amount. Medpack does not interrupt Laura's movement.
W (Combatant): Jinetz Sweep
Laura swings her nunchaku in a small cone in front of her, dealing magic damage. If Confidence has not been fully stacked, Jinetz Sweep applies a slow.
E (Bookworm): Defensive Net
Laura deploys a drone which sets up a shield for 2 minutes. Allies inside the shield take reduced damage and gain movement speed, but enemies can walk inside the shield and destroy the drone, dealing damage to all units caught inside.
E (Combatant): Dive
Laura lunges at her opponent, dealing magic damage upon arrival and becoming untargetable during the dash.
R (Transformer): Personality
Laura can alternate between two modes, which grant her different abilities. Bookworm mode grants her ranged basic attacks and bonus movement speed when running away from an enemy. Combatant mode grants melee attacks and spell vamp. Ranks in Personality increase the bonus movement speed and spell vamp.
Quotes Selection: "I'll do my best!"
Bookworm In Bookworm mode, Laura sounds like a timid schoolgirl (think middle school).
Movement "I'm not sure this is the right call." "Uh, OK." "What's over here?" "Tell Other Laura she needs to shower more often." "Tell me it's safe over here..." "I've always wondered what frog tastes like." "Well, I could talk for thirty minutes about dark matter." "You're a great conversationalist, you know that?"
Attacking "No! Not that way!" "Why does this always happen?" "Wait! I, uh, come in peace!" "I've always preferred negotiations."
Joke "The servos seem to be fine. Maybe the batteries are in backwards. Never hurts to check." "I can never get this silly thing working for hours at a time. Maybe I should invest in an upgrade."
Taunt "I don't want to be mean!" "What do you mean, they've never heard of relativity?"
Attacking with Stunner Shot "Woah! Stop!" "We can be reasonable." "No reasoning with some people."
Using Medpack "You OK?" "It's fine." "Don't think about the red liquid, and you'll be fine."
Using Defensive Net "Hang on!" "Stay together!" "Protect the drone!"
After Personality is used "Remind me to write a note to Other Laura." "Why does she do this kind of stuff?"
Combatant In Combatant mode, Laura's voice becomes a little deeper, and she sounds more confident.
Movement "Danger? I laugh." "Don't tell ME the odds." "If they're alone, that's their problem." "It's always good to be up front." "Made you look." "You've got a good head on your shoulders." "I like this plan." "Tell That Laura she needs to check her pockets more often."
Attacking "Come get some!" "I always do it my way." "Running's too easy." "Negotiations with force." "Always got some tricks up my sleeves." "Who wants a piece of this?" "You looked at me the wrong way."
Joke "That awkward moment when you realize you've been flirting with the wrong gender online." "Stop asking me that. You're sounding like a clingy psycho."
Taunt "I like your style. Shame I have to dismember it." "One versus me. Things are a little unbalanced."
After Personality is used "What did she say about me?" "This dress is too clean."
