You are willing take her overall damage output as an AP Assassin just to make her better? What about Graves ?

by building tank her overall damage output is increased since she survives longer.

Graves is ranged and actually he builds bruiserish now. He usually has steraks and maw and sometimes 1 other tanky/health item. Also his E gives him a bunch of resistances. Even if he didn't build these items, the reason he's allowed to build straight damage is because he is ranged and has mobility.

Only akali's Q is ranged, everything else is melee, if she wants to kill anyone she has to go in. In this current meta with how much damage everyone does and how tanky adc's are by building maw/sterak's if she goes in with an assasin build she will die instantly and have very little damage output. But if she builds tanky she can survive very long and deal much more damage. Also in her tank build she still builds damage in the form of titanic hydra, sterak's and sometimes hextech gunblade. All of these give her high sustain and consistent dps with her E/autos. Also look at champion.gg her winrate on tank build is good http://champion.gg/champion/Akali

I gave you a large explanation. If you are going to make a claim, explain why. But anyways I'll explain even though it should be on you to provide an explanation as to why she's supposedly weak even though her winrate is high.

It's nothing like saying that. Zed has a much safer kit than akali and he can go in and out of fights. He scales much better and he is not a ball of stats like akali is, he has lots of counterplay and outplay potential.

Akali can only go in. With tanky build she can go in and do consistent damage without dying due to her high base damages and her scaling on E and her passive synergizes well with titanic hydra and sterak's.

Tank akali isnt good at all. Whats the point of playing Akali if you aren't playing her to her strengths? Facerolling marksman in a few secs.... Tank Akali winrate isnt good at all also. Sunfire cape is good on her and that's it. Best go full damage.

She's so bad right. What can you do with her nowadays? A hard CC would destroy Akali. Unlike before, she doesn't have the mechanics like she used to. Now, there's so many counters for that can make her barely movable. Tank Akali? What are you doing? That takes half of her skills to a nutshell. You are willing to sacrifice your overall AP damage just so you can become a more tanky version Akali. That doesn't make her an Assassin anymore. It's like saying Graves should just tank all the with no damage because why not he's too squishy and it's better off if he's more tanky than he is with overall AD damage.

If Tank Akali is the only way she, an assassin, can be viable, it's clear that her kit is defective.

I'm hoping she'll actually get a rework. Her E is simply a weaker version of Katarina's W, and her passive is borderline toxic (free stats, no gameplay). Not to mention that if she actually goes her AP style, she is WAY too snowball dependent to do anything meaningful if she falls behind due to a lack of utilities.

Just because some Korean's broke her effectively (lets face it thats the only time shes good) doesn't mean the NA server is going to be able to. I see so many wannabe tank akali's that do piss poor and give me a free win. I've rarely ever had her on my team, and its been a similar experience the few times I have.

Its an glorified cheese strategy that will either get nerfed or countered by something new they add if it becomes a problem (it won't, shes a terrible tank with no peel or lock downs. All a team requires is a pink for when she, "initiates" with her R and then hides in her shroud. Shes a waste of a tank)

Tank Akali isn't very good, the cheese strategy thats being abused to win games on her doesn't work 100% of the time, and it certainly doesn't work for bad akali players.

And honestly if I just have little experience going against a nightmare of a tank Akali, I find it really said that the only time she's considered good is when she's broken. Its even more sad that she's been in this balance whirlpool since her release, and that just feels like neglect on Riot's part.

But back to the thread, its a good piece of artwork.

"Korean build" Akali is played more in NA and Eu than in Korea. Assuming op.gg got the right facts.

I've seen some really good tank/bruiser Akalis honestly. I had one carry my team a few games back. I was playing Yorick and I would just ult her every time she engaged because she was carrying so hard. She dished out pretty decent damage considering how tanky she was, and she was able to reliably reach the enemy back line in most fights.
