How come Tristana owners before her rework didn't get a Traditional skin like Sejuani or Trundle did?

I like the the new Tristana I really do, but I thought the old Tristana was cuter.

is it to late for a Traditional Tristana skin? Or can we still get one?

Unfortunately from what I remember they aren't planning on releasing any more traditional skins.
