Here is my concept for an Amumu rework

Amumu - The Prince of Sorrow

Passive - Shuriman memory Amumu gains bonus AP from HP like Vlad, but unlike Vlad he can not gain HP from AP, instead items that grant CDR grant an extra 3% CDR

Q - Cursed Bonds In a cone in front of him Amumu lashes out with his bandages dealing damage scaling with AP, marks enemies with Curse of Sorrow for 4 seconds and stuns enemy champions, cannon minions, and jungle monsters are briefly stunned for 0.75 seconds

Curse of Sorrow - abilities that hit a target with this debuff reaply 10% of their damage as Max HP magic damage

W - unchanged

E - Undead Wrath Amumu raises a hand from the ground at a target location, dealing AOE damage scaling with AP, and after a short delay travels back to him damaging and dragging along any enemy champion hit on the way, if Your Q is off cool down its mana cost is increased by 20% in return of becoming AOE instead of a Cone

R - Effigy of the Acended Amumu spawns 1 of 4 Effigies at the target location in a very big range with HP bars, and casts a smaller and shorter version of his current ult around it, enemies caught in it are damaged, stunnded and marked with Effigy link, if the effigy is killed by your allies or you then 40% of the damage dealt to it is applied to all Effigy Linked enemies, and grants your team a 4 second buff

Effigy of Xerath - bonus AA and ability range

Effigy of Azir - Bonus attack speed and on hit magic damage scaling off Amumu's AP

Effigy of Nasus - OmniVamp

Effigy of Renekton - AAs become a toned down version of Amumu's current E and scale with Amumu's AP

Note that Effigy Buffs do not stack and the newest one always overrides the current one, not that it's possibile in normal games, this is more of a note for URF mode

This rework is pushing Amumu in the direction of a Battlemage. I would prefer Amumu to stay a Vanguard personally and there is something that current Amumu lacks here: a real tank steroid.

Other tanks have shields, damage reductions, bonus resistances and that stuff. All Amumu has is a flat damage reduction for auto attacks, which is ridiculously weak compared to the tank steroids of other champions have.

Your rework also lacks a gap closer, so using your W would be fairly hard. But tbh, I don't know why you kept his W as the only unchanged, in my opinion, this ability should be removed. It is just a passive AoE damage around Amumu, not interactive in any way.
