[Champion Remake] Aatrox the Darkin Blade

Hey. After some time of thinking about Aatrox, I came up with a new kit that fits Aatrox's lore.

Unlike my previous remakes and concepts, I won't be changing the Lore, just his abilities to help him get along with his archetype of a being that always overturns a war in his side choice's favor, which would means he should have ability to switch the teamfight into his favor if played correctly. Adding to this, he's also immortal since he has never perished during war times at any time, and as such I'll be playing this part into the kit.

Original Kit P: Blood Well STATIC COOLDOWN: 225 / 200 / 175 / 150 Blood Well

Whenever Aatrox consumes a portion of his health, he stores it into his Blood Well, which can hold up to「 105 - 870 」health. The Blood Well depletes by 2% per second if Aatrox hasn't dealt or received damage in the last 5 seconds.

Aatrox gains 0.3 / 0.35 / 0.4 / 0.45 / 0.5 / 0.55% bonus attack speed for every 1% in his Blood Well, up to a maximum of 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50 / 55% bonus attack speed.

Upon taking fatal damage, Aatrox enters Stasis icon stasis and drains his Blood Well, healing himself over the next 3 seconds for up to 35% of the Blood Well's maximum capacity, plus its stored health upon activation.

Q: Dark Flight RANGE: 650 / 225 / 75 COST: 10% current health COOLDOWN: 16 / 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 Dark Flight

Active: Aatrox dashes to the target area after a brief delay, dealing physical damage to nearby enemies upon landing and Airborne icon knocking up enemies in the epicenter for 1 second.

Physical Damage: 70 / 115 / 160 / 205 / 250 (+ 60% bonus AD)

W: Blood Thirst / Blood Price COST: 15 / 23.75 / 32.5 / 41.25 / 50 (+ 25% bonus AD) health COOLDOWN: 0.5

Passive: Aatrox applies a bonus on-hit effect every third basic attack:

Blood Thirst Toggle Off – Blood Thirst: Aatrox heals himself. The heal amount is tripled while Aatrox is below 50% maximum health.

Blood Price Toggle On – Blood Price: Aatrox deals bonus physical damage.

Active: Aatrox unleashes two converging energy waves in the target direction, dealing magic damage to enemies hit and Slow icon slowing them by 40%.

Magic Damage: 75 / 110 / 145 / 180 / 215 (+ 60% AP) (+ 60% bonus AD) Slow Duration: 1.75 / 2 / 2.25 / 2.5 / 2.75

R: Massacre RANGE: 550 / 325 COOLDOWN: 100 / 85 / 70 Massacre

Active: Aatrox draws in the blood of his foes, dealing magic damage to nearby enemy champions and filling his Blood Well.png Blood Well by 20% of its maximum value for each enemy hit.

Magic Damage: 200 / 300 / 400 (+ 100% AP)

Additionally, Aatrox gains bonus attack speed and attack range for 12 seconds.

Attack Speed: 40 / 50 / 60%


New Kit

P: Warfare Commander Upon taking fatal damage, Aatrox flee the battlefield into air and observe the field beneath him. Cannot take or deal damages during this time. Aatrox may support his allies with his spells only inflicting the ability's effects without dealing damages. His flight lasts 15 seconds, and any nearby enemy minions or champions that dies refills his sword's energy at fixed number. Once his blade is rejuvenated, he lands beneath him staying invulnerable after landing for a brief duration.

STATIC COOLDOWN: 225 / 200 / 175 / 150 HEALS: 50% Maximum HP + 100% of sword energy.

Q: Harbinger Uppercut RANGE: 325 / 150 / 175 COST: 10% current health COOLDOWN: 16 / 15 / 14 / 13 / 12

Active: Aatrox swings his blade upward in front of him dealing damages to enemy units hit and knocking up the enemies in the center area of effect.

Physical Damage: 70 / 115 / 160 / 205 / 250 (+ 80% total AD)

W: Blood Thirst / Blood Price COST: 15 / 23.75 / 32.5 / 41.25 / 50 (+ 25% bonus AD) health COOLDOWN: 0.5

Resource - Bloodbath Increase resource with spell casts and per Blood Thirst/Price hit. Increase Attack Speed by 1% per 10 point of Bloodbath. Bloodbath lose 5% of its resource per second while out of combat.

Active: Aatrox unleashes two converging energy waves in the target direction, dealing magic damage to enemies hit and Slow icon slowing them by 40%. Enemies hit at the end of the waves takes double damage.

Magic Damage: 75 / 110 / 145 / 180 / 215 (+ 60% AP) (+ 60% total AD) Slow Duration: 1.75 / 2 / 2.25 / 2.5 / 2.75

R: God of War Descends RANGE: 650 / 325 COOLDOWN: 100 / 85 / 70

Active: Aatrox immediately rise to air bathed in blood increasing own attack range and filling Bloodbath by 20% each enemy champion within the area of effect, and grants nearby allies bonus penetration against enemy champions. Nearby allied minions also has their attack speed and health regeneration increased by 50%. If Blood Thirst is being used, Aatrox heals nearby allied champions for 20% of the damage dealt. If Blood Price is being used, Aatrox deals 33% of the damage to nearby enemy units.

Magic Damage: 200 / 300 / 400 (+ 80% AP) (+ 60% total AD)


Context behind Changes:

Passive change: It didn't really sit right with me that Aatrox was very vulnerable during his original passive state and was rendered pretty USELESS after he revived. Therefore, instead of letting him back in the fight, he would retreats and support his allies from above with his Harbinger Uppercut and Blades of Torment CC-wise, this way, Aatrox can at least be relevant during teamfight without being hindered by his passive, and if he played it right, or if his team did the fight well, Aatrox can revives without any danger to himself and aids with further objectives.

Q change: I took the flight concept away from this and gave it to his passive, keeping only the knock up concept. The base core is more or less the same, but the knock up is in cone, much like his Blades of Torment with the outer cone area being just damage only, and inner cone knocks up and damages. Aatrox isn't supposed to actually have an escape option when it comes to his lore, he's there to cause trouble, he's there to kill people for his sword's thirst, why would he flee if things aren't favorable, he'd make things favorable by himself and do it. +Bonus ad ratio to total

W change: Nothing much changed, only moved Blood Well attack speed to this.

E change: As with Q change, it's only changed from bonus to total, and he deals double damages to enemy units at the end of the wave, since you know... two waves clashing together would have to hurt right?

R change: Oh yeah baby, you know exactly why I changed this. First, he had two attack speed option, so I got rid of the base attack speed bonus on this and just had it fills up his Bloodbath resource, which is essentially the same thing as what live ultimate did. He inspired his allies on battlefield, so why not inspire them here too, instead of being crazy with stats buff or anything, I just gave additional penetration. And I figured having a mini Baron buff would help the minions when he "split push". I means c'mon, anyone would get inspired if he arise to air and just fucking slaughter things around him. To make this even more fun, I had his W influences his ultimate as well. Wanna do damage? Great! Now you can cleave, throw in Titanic or Ravenous, and EVEN MORE DAMAGE! Your allies can't keep themselves alive? No problem! Here's the Cannibalism for you! (Bonus point if you know or remember what Cannibalism did in LoL) (Hint: It used to be a certain champion's ultimate before he got relaunched)

And so, with that I'm done presenting my ideas.

Edit: Still thinking of how to work health cost. Probably make it like Vlad's, or perhaps Mordekaiser's cost would be more ideal.
