How many champion concepts have been used to make a new champion?
Why is there a page to post ideas for new champions? Does Riot ever even consider them? It seems to me like they just make whatever they want. Whose idea was this "River King"?

Volibear was a huge thing on the forums and he got released.
I myself had a champion concept that was really identical to the modern day Darius.
They rarely take whole concepts, but generally take bits n pieces from stuff they like.
if nothing else i feel like the concept that they drew inspiration from should get a small token of recognition from a red post at least saying that ability X or champion appearance, theme, role, style was a major factor of development for released champion Y i however do not desire to see every single champion concept that is entirely good on the boards put into the game as some of these champions while well thought out and designed are either game changingly oppressive or steer LoL into a very complex game that is neigh impossible for a beginner to pick up and enjoy
Not sure if any have been directly used. But I believe some of the ideas people though of within champions have been used before.
No, they haven't but they have responded to community feedback. When asked to make a tanky female character, Riot produced Leona. And when asked for a manly support, they created Braum. I believe Nautilus was vaguely based on a community concept. Though if it makes you feel better, a lot of ksins were proposed by the community such as Surprise Party Fiddlesticks and Heartseeker Varus.
