Riot, can we expect the Taric rework in 6.7 or before?

I'm downloading the 6.6 patch right now, and I can't wait to see how some things work out. I recently bought Maokai and his Saplings disappointed me with their duration. Definitely a great patch there! I also want to see how Zz'rot will affect gameplay: creating a new objective, and new gameplay around the objective. (Zz'rot is easier to destroy AND easier to save- making it a nice little base of operations). And- Aurelion Sol! Yes- I am buying him once this patch is done downloading. I can't wait to test him out!! This patch is pretty great!

But- I'm still more excited about Taric! lol. So- now that Aurelion Sol is out... Please Riot! When is Taric's rework being released?

We've got a target we're aiming for, until the final work's finished and confirmed to hit the required standards it's still going to have to be described as 'soon' though.

I just want to say thank you for keeping people informed, but on the estimations, would mid april be a good area to look for if his progress keeps going at a steady pace? I know saying these things and not following through on them garners a large amount of negative feedback, so it's fine if you're not exactly encouraged to say. glares at community and their nonstop complaining Anyway, thanks for reading, and hopefully answering, my question, can't wait for the rework, and as always.

I dint think you understand how fragile a defense that is at this point. There has been an unacceptable amount of teasing for a champ that's not even f***ing finished yet. Everything you guys were showing us pointed to an imminent release.

Actually, that would make a lot of sense for them to do. After all, they are a business that needs to make profit in order to keep on giving in a game that is ultimately free to play, so between a champion rework that will ultimately not bring in that much profit and a skin which is made to be sold and bring in money, I think it makes sense that they'd choose the skin over the champion. I mean, if I were in their shoes at least, I'd probably do the same.

PROJECT: Taric skin? If he still heals, it can be like a battery recharge. If he still has something like Shatter- he can shroud himself in a static field, and burst with an electrical impulse. (Like Blitz ult in visual) If he still has a stun, it can be a short-burst laser. If he still Radiates, he can emit beautiful colors. Lol.

I just think PROJECT: Taric wuld be a cool concept. If Taric is still "paladin" in his gameplay, it would be like a Mech-Tank.

New champion is going to be overpowered and games where he will be in, provided he won't be banned in dynamic, are going to suck. They didn't nurf what needed to be nurfed in PBE and we're going to see pissy people in games to come for the next 2 weeks. Sorry Riot but that's how new carry champions work when you release them. I'm not excited for the new champion one bit until the nurfs come in and even though I never played it, it's history repeating.

I main Taric. I love his paladin-like gameplay. True tank, auras and heals. But when you put his kit against other kits, his is rather straight forward. In other words: lack-luster. And gems don't lack luster.

The reason Taric is expected to get a re-work is because he has a very one dimensional style kit. Also, Taric is much weaker than most supports. Braum as you mentioned is very alike to Taric. Taric has a heal that braum doesn't but other than that Braum gives much more safety and much more offensive and defensive power than Taric.

Woah- you're talking to the Best Taric player NA. I'm the Taric that keeps the enemy team off a dying turret when my allies have lost heart and retreated. I'm the Taric that flashes over the Dragon wall for an Ult+W dragon steal, and carts the entire enemy team to my turret on my back. I'm the Taric that laughs while you damage me- then stuns you- walks up to you- and heals myself to show how pointless your attempts are. I am Taric.

I'm talking about the depth of his abilities. They're very basic in nature when compared to other kits. Taric- targeted heal, bonus armor and AOE damage debuff, targeted stun, AOE damage and ally buff- and CDR for basic attacks after casting abilities. That's a pretty basic concept. I love Taric- but he could use the rework. As long as his character stays the same.

A true Taric main does not love Taric. He loves Ezreal.
