Hi, thanks for stopping by. I have about a month left of freedom before I begin to "adult". I have a passion for this game and have had some ideas floating around my head regarding new Champions. So I thought, I might as well dedicate some of the time I left and spit out as much new Concepts/Champions as I can. Maybe it'll inspire someone to do the same or maybe it'll inspire someone to make an even better champion. I am by no means a professional story teller or game balance designer so let me know if you think something is wrong or needs tuning up! Hope you enjoy what I have to offer. I will be posting once a day for the next month minus the weekends, hence the 20 days instead of 30/31.

For my first post, I am posting a champion I have posted before but have made some adjustments on.

Goal:

The goal of this champion is to introduce a new mechanic into the game. This mechanic is the ability to "break" walls or passable terrain. I would like this to include Champion made walls such as Anivia wall, Jarvan ultimate, etc. By introducing this mechanic, you can create mobility for champions that do not have any in their kit. I believe this mechanic will make the game feel more interactive to the player and have open up more creativity for team comps.

Champion Name: Kalevi, the Kid Hero

Kit:

Basic Attack in Kid Form : Sling shot + pebble (Ranged)

Basic Attack in Hero Form : Punches (Melee)

Passive: The Hero's Call

Every successful last hit on a minion/monster, basic attack or ability on an enemy champion, and damage done done to Kalevi by an enemy champion help fill her Hero Bar (Rage bar). Once maxed, Kalevi instantly gains a small shield based on her max health and a short speed boost; this can happen only once per 60/45/30/15 seconds. The bar decays once Kalevi is out of combat

Kalevi gains a stack of "Justice for the Fallen" every time an ally dies. Each stack of "Justice for the Fallen" permanently grants armor and magic resist. The amount of resistance gained scales less and less the more your teammates die.

Q: Heroic Shot (Kid Form)

Kalevi shoots her slingshot in a direction with such strength, the shot creates a sonic boom that causes damage beyond the point of initial impact.

Heroic Shot is a straight line skillshot that shoots out a short cone behind the point of contact. The short cone deals less damage but slows those hit. The cone that shoots out behind a building or wall will not deal damage but will still slow; Heroic Shot will not deal damage to the said building/wall.

Q: Heroic Smash (Hero Form)

Kalevi smashes the ground in front of her with both hands that will send a short shock wave in the form of a cone that will stun the first Champion hit and heavily slow the rest.

When targetting passable terrain, Kalevi will temporarily destroy a small area of the terrain allowing passage for both allies and enemies. Heroic Smash used this way will not deal damage or stun/slow.

W: Hero's Oath (Kid Form)

Kalevi throws her Hero's badge a short distance that creates a small zone.

Allies inside gain a small amount of increased health regeneration while Kalevi gains a recharging shield as long as the zone is still up. The zone lasts for a short time but gains extra time for every unique ally that enters it.

Zone breaks instantly when an enemy champion enters it or is hit 3/3/4/4/5 times.

Badge returns to Kalevi once the zone breaks/disappears.

W: Hero's Pledge (Hero Form)

Kalevi creates a small field around herself for a short duration that grounds all enemy champions that are caught inside it.

E: Just in Time (Kid Form)

Kalevi jumps in to save the day.

Targetting an equal or higher % health ally, ally minion, or ward allows Kalevi to jump to her target and gives Kalevi a short duration of increased movement speed.

Targetting a lower % health ally swaps the position of both and roots Kalevi in place after the swap. For a short duration, the amount the Hero's Bar is filled up by is doubled.

E: Hero's Strength (Hero Form)

Kalevi takes reduced damage for a short duration. Kalevi's next basic attack will deal additional damage based on the damage that was reduced.

R: Answering the Call (Kid Form)

First point into this skill will unlock a second Hero Bar. This bar fills up once the first bar is completely filled up and fills up much faster. Both bars count towards the duration of Kalevi's Hero Form.

Passive: If the 2nd bar is maxed before "Answering the Call" is activated, Kalevi is forced into her Hero form. When forced into Hero form, Kalevi instantly knocks back all enemies around her.

Active: Kalevi instantly transform into Hero form and will deal increased damage for the duration of her 2nd bar. Cannot activate once the 2nd bar fills up past 50% and the increased damage is not applied if her Hero form is forced.

R: Answering the Call (Hero Form)

Passive: Kalevi's stacks of "Justice for the Fallen" multiplies for every currently dead ally. (2x/2.5x/3.5x/4x) Kalevi also gains bonus Health in this form.

Thoughts Behind Kalevi's Kit:

Kalevi should be thought of as a champion who can be a very reliable secondary Front liner or a situational primary Front liner. Outside of her Hero form, Kalevi does not have any reliable CC but has much more mobility. Her laning phase might be tough as she lacks real wave clear but she has ways of effectively trading with her opponents via her shields from her passive and W. Team fights is where she shines especially when she comes in as a secondary Tank. Doing so will give her time to prep her Hero Bar and use the supportive abilities in the kit of her Kid Form. Kalevi is very flexible when it comes to decision making regarding her kit. Kalevi has the ability to make plays, support her team, lock down enemy champions, etc. Kalevi should demand more attention from the player and should in exchange let the player feel more influential in the game if played correctly.

Kalevi was made for the more seasoned player rather than a new player as her skill floor is relatively high. However, Kalevi's skill floor should be just as high to reward the players who take the time to learn her combos and are able to make the correct decisions regarding her kit in game.

Kalevi is actually in a weird position as she has no "real" Ultimate and at the same time, no "real" transformation. However, I feel by doing so, I am able to move that lack of power into the rest of her kit, giving players more options in game.

With that my first post is done, and I will be back tomorrow for another post! Let me know if you think anything is off or if you have any questions! Thanks for reading!
