#AUTHOR'S PHILOSOPHY:

For this Juggernaut in particular, I wanted someone who functions in a bit of a different means than usual. I wanted a Juggernaut with elements of snowballing, but not something as extreme as Kled or Illaoi. Something a bit less impactful, but much more aggressive. To the ideal of a Paladin, a self-righteous warrior of what he thinks is holy, I wanted to design a champion who is as unstoppable as his belief is and crumbles with doubt and hesitation.

Trigge possesses his own specific ressource calld "Grace". He can possess up to 12 stacks of "Grace" and he gains 1 Grace every time he is inflicted with ANY Crowd Control, if he defeats smaller monsters and Minions or for each Second in combat with an enemy Champion and Large/Epic Monster. Trigge gains +1/2/3/4 (Increases at levels 1/6/11/16) Armor and Magic Resistance per stack of Grace. Armor and Magic Resistance Bonuses prevail 3 seconds after Grace has been consumed.

Trigge's Abilities consume Grace when used, if there is any. Per stack of Grace consumed, he recovers 1.5% Missing Health and gains 1-4 (+0.177/Level)% movement speed, lasting for 2.5 seconds.

Every few seconds, Trigge's next Attack possesses double range and will immediately build up 4 stacks of Grace.

Trigge uses his holy Powers to smite the target Direction, dealing 50/90/130/170/210 (+100/105/110/115/120% Total AD) physical damage to all enemies hit, stopping at the first champion, dealing damage to them and marking them. Auto-Attacks against the marked enemy Champion deal an extra (20% Total AD) Magic Damage to the target Champion and generate 2 Stacks of Grace. Lasts for 3 seconds of until this Effect has been activated 3 times.

For each Stack of Grace consumed, this Ability will slow all damaged enemies by 10%, decaying over 2.5 Seconds.

Trigge grants himself a Shield based on 8/12/16/20/24% of his Maximum Health. As long as the Shield is active, Trigge gains 10/12.5/15/17.5/20% of it's total Value as Bonus AD.

If the Shield collapses before it's duration is over, Trigge gains 1/2/3/4/5 Grace and, for each stack of Grace consumed, +15% Tenacity for 4 seconds.

Passive: Trigge gains +20/25/30/35/40% Attack Speed.

Trigge removes all Slowing effects and charges his Sword. Trigge's next Auto-Attack will deal extra 50/80/110/140/170 (+75% Total AD) physical damage to the target enemy and all Enemies in a line behind them. If the target Enemy is a Champion, stun them for 0.25 Seconds per Stack of Grace Consumed.

This Ability's cooldown is reset and Trigge gains the full Movement Speed Bonus from "Grace" for 1 Second if Trigge gains a Champion kill or Assist.

Passive: Trigge gains 4/8/12 Stacks of Grace whenever he gains a champion Kill.

Active: Trigge consumes all stacks of Grace and blesses himself with the full might of his Holy Powers, removing all negative Effects on himself, including Damage over Time Effects. For the next 7 Seconds, Trigge gains 25% Reduced damage from Area of Effect Abilities. For each Stack of Grace consumed, Trigge reflects 1/2/3% of all incoming Single-Target Damage.

#TRIVIA ABOUT ABILITIES:

  • Grace automatically depledes after some time of not fulfilling any of the requirements to charge it. the Depletion rate is 8 seconds, then one stack every 2 seconds afterwards.

  • The Armor and MR Bonuses from Grace remain for a few seconds after the stacks are used. If you have 4 stacks, you gain, at lvl 6, 8 Armor and MR. So if those 4 stacks are used up, the 8 Armor and MR remain for a few seconds before being reduced by that amount.

  • "Divine Justice and Providence" - much like Tryndamere's R - can be used while Stunned, Surpressed, Polymorphed, Silenced and any other form of CC that incapacitate Ability Use.

  • Very hard to escape from even without mobility.

  • Can adapt depending on his situation with smart Ability Use.

  • Very strong Dueling potential for a Juggernaut

  • R is entirely defensive, shut down by being ignored.

#CHAMPION SYNERGIES:

  • Ivern Janna Lulu Nami Defensive Enchanters are Trigge's best friends for the simple reason that more defense equals better performance. Trigge has many defensive mechanics, but they shift between one another and can't be used simultaneously when his Abilities are on Cooldown, so champions that can support him there and create a bridge between his gaps are largely the most helpful.

#COUNTERS:

Kalista Kalista (Who would of thought) is actually seriously dangerous to deal with without any Help. Since Trigge, unlike most Juggernauts, is focused on moving fast himself rather than slowing his opponents down massively, Kalista has a fair chance to outrun him unless he gets to her at least once. Her Kyting potential shines in this matchup from the sole fact that Trigge's only slow requires him to actually reach his target.

Rumble Rumble's Ability to freeze waves wherever he wants it as well as respectably large Ranges allow him to come superior in almost any trades involved with Trigge unless Trigge becomes incredibly wasteful with his Abilities. Only Problem with that is that his cooldowns are very high earlygame for a Juggernaut and so he is subseptible to many ganks if he tries to even the odds with an enemy Rumble.

#LORE:

As a Paladin of the oldest of beliefs, Trigge is one of the last of his kind who are able to stand with the Lunari without being shunned and exiled by the Rakkor.

The Role of the Paladin was one of the most sacred, but also one of the least given Roles in the history of the Tribe ever since the Lunari disappeared and were shunned by the Rakkor-History. Whoever took the mantil of Paladin became the ultimate Mediator between all beliefs and tribes of Targon, someone the Rakkor inheretly despised, but could not rise a hand against.

Trigge had always been fascinated by the titles associated with past Paladins. Secretly taught by his Mother about the missing History of the Rakkor, Trigge understood early on that there was a higher force needed to bring back peace to the Rakkor, and as long as the Lunari were insisted to be forgotten, that could never happen. However, Paladins are not chosen by Aspects and thus possess neither of their power, meaning that whoever became Paladin had to be as powerful, if not more, than the Targonian Deity's themselves.

Trigge honed himself over the years of his life, learned powerful Magic as well as the Ability to fight just so he could one day become Paladin and see through that his Tribe, the Rakkor, could no longer hate the Lunari.

However, complications ensued. Snitched on by one of his only friends, Trigge was to be sentenced to death for High Treason. His Trust in the Rakkor had suffered a violation that caused permanent damage within him and in his last days before his execution, he became scornful and self-centered, truly manifesting that he had to become Paladin to change the tribe to his wishes.

On the day of his Execution, he was meant to be sentenced to death by Decapitation. However, when the Executioner swung his axe, the Hilt Shattered and the Axe, misdirected by the momentum, killed the Executioner instead.

After this embarrassing failure, attempts on Trigge's life had been made time and time again. When he was to be hung, all ropes tore, when he was to be impaled, the spearheads came loose and broke off, when he was to be shot by Bows, the Bowstrings tore.

After the 9th failed Execution, the Rakkor decided to instead keep him locked up for life and starve him, but the Petricite-Chains shattered, causing Trigge to be free. Following his Freedom, he unleashed his full wrath upon his tribe, decimating the best Warriors by smiting them until not even Ash was left.

By force of Superior Power, and declaring that Fate protected him from Death, he declared himself as Authority and took up Armor, Shield and Sword that was to be bestowed to whoever became the Symbol of unification that the Paladin represented. Thus, Trigge began to enforce changes to the Rakkor, reducing influence from the Aspects and slowly beginning to return the Lunari as part of the Rakkor by unveiling their History, hoping to one day restore them entirely.

  • Passive: Abilities can now be used without Grace; Added slight Armor + MR persistance after Grace has been used; every 14 seconds, his next AA has increased range and creates stacks of Grace

  • Q now a Skillshot, slows based on Grace used. Deals less damage on Impact, rewards continuos striking more.

His E may consume more Grace but gains no increased benefit from it unlike other abilities. Unless it increases the stun duration.

This is pretty cool dude. I shall give constructive criticism.

The heavy reliance on being CC'd and/or autoing at melee range for an immovable champion (it's already often hard for even VI to get 3 auto's off in a teamfight environment), not even just to benefit from passive(like Taric), but just to use your core abilities in the first place is excessively restrictive to the point of being impractical. I should preface that champions like Pantheon also have difficulty autoing in teamfights but are definitely meant for lane-play(355 base ms on Panth tho) but have insanely powerful and applicable kits to their goals in and outside of lane regardless.

For this goal of "being able to use basic abilities" I want to look at the Grace "bar"(which it is, accurately) and compare it to Energy meters like Shen(who need to use it for basic abilities too obviously). These guys regenerate energy (fury champs do so only in-combat-like but don't need any to use the ability) automatically -and by using abilities skillfully to restore energy. For a kit that directly needs a bar-value to be high-enough(ex. 50 energy, or 8 Grace ect.) to use basic abilities, it should never (completely)deplete on its own out of combat, and it should maybe(but doesn't need to) regenerate passively like energy champions. Taric also, only builds his 2-hit meter in-combat but for example his Q(main mechanic arguably) to reach 5 stacks takes either like 50 seconds or 5 auto-attacks using the rest of his kit, all of his other spells just use mana(comparable-like to energy if need be). There's also mana-less, energy-less champions like Riven, Renek(fury) ect. but we can ignore those for now. For now just consider that unlike any one else, this guy has no basic abilities against an enemy that doesn't cc him, or allow him to auto them(out-side of farming-cs kinds of arenas). Just imagine a Vlad using pool to avoid your autos while q-ing you for days. You can't even walk into auto-range with your ms, ever. (Which if fine, BUT, we need to allow your champion to have abilities in these cases!) I think Trigge should have a flat-line Grace value of like (3-8 based on level), that when it depletes out of combat, it doesn't deplete lower than this value. I think while he's below the flat-line(3-8 based on level) Grace he should also regenerate 1 Grace every 3 seconds. His passive heal should not be generated off of the Grace that he can/does accumulate passively over-time. This is just my two-cents.

Uhh... W is broken lol. Especially when combined with E and his passive. Think about it... 250 attack range(which is weird, 125 is usually fist range, 150 is sword and 175 is pole-arm range, he should have 150 base range), 4.8% of his Max Health as bonus AD, and he will deal 175% +170 damage on his attack.


Calculated out with 4 item 3083, 1 item 1401, and 1 item 3053 (you get MS from your passive, using W gives you 24% movement speed, so screw boots) you will have a total of 6,642 Health and 204 AD. Using W gives a 1,594 shield and increases your AD to 522(With runes this can be like 583-ish). Your E deals 1,083(1,190) damage with a FULL TANK build. Even full damage build with 4 IE's, 1 DD, and Sterak's you gain like 124 Damage from the shield(791 total AD with runes), meaning you can deal 2,542 damage in one auto. This is excluding the bonus 20% AD from Q dealt as magic damage, increasing the damage to 1,187(1,306) and 2,700. No infernals or anything. This is 1 quick attack mind you. I'd probs remove 1 item for boots so I can use predator and deal 1,457 in 1-hit and be full tank build jungle.


The main problem with all of this is that he gets a lot of free stats on top of everything. Attack Speed, Movement speed, Healing, Armor, Magic Resist, Attack Range. All except the attack speed are just from his innate passive. I'd dial it back on all the passive stat buffs.
