We have like a crap ton of bird related champs at this game but only 1 mermaid.

Can we get maybe an adc Mermaid or a heavy Mer-Mage?

This is hypocritical. You are asking for Riot to make more Mermaids which will, in turn, overpopulate the champion poll with Mermaid champions

It'd have to be something drastically different in tone and theme from nami who already has the mermaid niche filled, kinda like how ivern and maokai are both treefolk but completely different characters

Yeah, I'm imagining much more of a siren-like character, someone a bit more sinister than Nami, perhaps an AP assassin.

Kind of seems pointless to have another mer-mage. Each of those birds has it's own story and unique idea. I mean we have WW and Nasus, but neither are dog's for the sake of being dogs. Neither have the same play style. Neither have similar backgrounds.

On-topic: because the Marai are a type of vastaya, it's entirely possible we could get a different representative from the Marai that also uses water in some way. It's not like having Annie locked out the possibility of Brand.

Mostly I just want a sharkperson.

If your conversation is going to devolve into arguing and listing your complaints with each other's posting habits, the best place to discuss that would be through the in-game chat or through another method of communication. It was definitely derailing the conversation in the thread.
