Answering Riot's question: What makes a male champion sexy?

Riot asks us, What types of attractive male champions or male personalities are you interested in seeing in League? What are we currently not providing? Let us know in the comments and we will keep them in mind for future champions.

I'm currently 22 and my whole life has been about animation shows. Whether it be batman beyond, attack on titan, total drama island, Naruto, etc It's a diversity of shows more particularly. As a child to a teenager, kids who talk about shows would ask "Who's your favorite" "Why is he/she your favorite" If I were to create a survey of what exactly has been chosen most in regards to traits and what they find sexy, it would be heartless, cool, serious, and a deep background story.

We haven't even discussed about what makes people favor him but it should be obvious based on just a picture. He's good looking, serious, and menacing. But that's not enough to make it a whole world spread of favortism over this character. There's people around the world who not only find looks or emotion that matters most, but their voice and background story. Why is this character so serious? What makes him so cool? Why is he full of hate?

Now lets use a different version. How about a super hero? Ever recall the show Batman Beyond? Why did people love the show so much? What makes it such a nostalgia feel to it? Why did people love that type of batman suit over the originals?

What makes him so cool? The suit, the colors, his attitude towards his enemies being aggressive and violent, what his suit can do and the little things such as the style of his bat symbol on his chest where it's not black like batman's original suit but it's red. How the world around him is a futuristic world. The fact that he's more of a average built man than Bruce Wayne is.

Now at this point you may be thinking how does this relate to league? It's not a matter of how it relates to it but how much of an idea you can create based off of the shows you missed and the shows you currently love. A kind of inspiration and understanding of how the general population feels towards a specific character. Like Jon Snow from Game Of Thrones. Jon is cute, nice, strong, and bad ass. He also differs from people look wise by a lot. It's the same way how Jinx was created. An inspiration of craziness coming from the one, the only, Harley Quinn.

I just want to fairly note that a shirtless male champion does not always have to embody the idea of sexiness like Varus. You can still create a champion who's sexy by the way they are dressed. Their voice takes a huge part of their sexiness as well and the background story is what makes interest even better. I'd say we have always lived in a generation where people love a BAD guy but can also do good. Someone who says heartless yet very meaningful things. I'd say that Riot has done a job well done with Taric Varus Jhin Talon but I'd like to see a character who isn't obsessed with things like how poppy is obsessed with saying hero and hammer a lot in her quotes. A character who isn't shirtless or revealing like Taric and Varus. A character who isn't weird like Jhin and meh like Talon.

Create a champion who's total heartless yet attractive while being/doing it.

Hahaha, I have never seen AoT but by looks that guy is not sexy at all. I know every artist has his own style, so I can't judge on just that picture but wow that forehead and plain appearance.

I understand what you are saying about attitude though. I personally hate the BA villain type. It is a dumb cliche for sexy. And note in actual American schools, the BA may get some women but it is usually the popular rich jock who is known as the face of hot. That is why actors like DiCaprio, Pitt, uhhh Zack whatever are famous. Not because they are BA.

Different standards for everyone of course. And I get what you are saying though. Just throwing out other options too.

Edit: type that out right after I saw the funny picture. Oh you think he looks good too, I just can't.

OH MAN. Does LoL even have a BEARDED champion? We have mustaches, but beards are in a niche style in America.

I'm biased, being attracted to girls, but I consider open mouths, blank, innocent stares, skin-revealing clothing (I mean, as far as skin-revealing goes on boys, like v-necks) and longing pupils to sort've resonate in a kind of 'I'd be attracted to that if he was a she' sort've way.

Now I CONFESS; lips, cleavage and innocence are exactly what guys stereotypically look for in girls, so applying that to misfires in my brain when looking at boys could simply be a product of association. But this seems to be a recurring theme in animes; so maybe there's a demographic. I'd also argue that throwing in an air of authority and sass (with a smidgeon of empathy) makes a guy character more attractive, across the board. ESPECIALLY if he's been built up to that point.

Then again, I'm not attracted to boys. So I could be talking completely out've my butt. :P
