#Lore

(In Brief) Favron was a pirate, a greedy one at that. Being so, he broke the unspoken code of never stealing from a shipmate, especially after a recent plunder where many riches were gain. As other sailors were catching on his thievery, he was tied up and thrown overboard. Struggling for his life, he flailed and “swam” until he made it ashore to the Shivering Isles werehere he continued to steal from others… but this time he targets were the dead.

Here, he stole 3 weapons from caskets and catacombs. As he stole them he felt a new presence, ever following, ever watching. When he managed to rob those weapons, the Geist haunting the weapons united and cursed him. Forever haunting him unless someone steals the weapons from him. However, these weapons are bound to Favron until death, forcing him to have his grave robbed.

After casting a non-ultimate ability, Favron will change his auto attack weapon to match with the weapon that aligns with the casted ability if needed, putting it on a small static cooldown before being able to switch to it again. His abilities may be casted even if the normal ability is on cooldown to switch weapons only.

This ability (and weapon) is now Geist Bound to Favron until the ability goes off cooldown and a non-Geist Bound ability is casted.

  • If the static cooldown is greater than the basic spell cooldown at time of cast, the spells’ static cooldown duration will be the overwritten as the duration of the remaining basic cooldown.

  • If switching weapons, then the cast time (being the weapon swapping animation) from Geist Bound Goods will apply before any casting time to cast the ability begins.

Geist Bound Gift Conditional On Attack Cooldown Modifier

Whenever Favron auto attacks with the corresponding weapon that is Geist Bound to him, the Geist Bound ability will have its cooldown reduced by .5 seconds.

After a brief charge, Favron shortly dashes and strikes the first enemy unit he collides with in a line, with the strike encompassed by the Geist of Gudan dealing 40 / 70 / 115 / 160 / 210 + (40% AD) (+6% / 7% / 8% / 9% / 10% of targets current health) in physical damage and healing Favron for the current health damage dealt. This heal is tripled if it kills a large or epic monster, or a enemy champion.

With force from Hernella’s Geist, Favrons thrusts out three spear thrust, which may spread across a coned area or be stacked linearly, with each thrust dealing 20 / 40 / 65 / 100 / 160 (+ 50% Bonus AD) in physical damage. Attacking in a cone will have all three thrust attacks happen simultaneously and instantly. The linear attack will thrust the three attacks singularly over 1.0 second, with all strikes keeping the same original direction while moving or changing directions.

  • Choosing between a linear or conic attack is based on the distance the cursor is from Favron when casting. Favron fires a fast bolt from Nolin’s Crossbow, hitting the first enemy unit along its path or stopping at terrain. Directly hitting a unit will deal 65 / 85 / 115 / 155 / 210 (+60% AD) in physical damage, and placing a haunted zone around and sourcing from the hit target or where it was stopped at terrain, slowing all enemy units within the zone for a stacking 10% every 1.0 seconds, lasting 4.0 seconds.

  • Leaving the zone will have the slow linger for .25 seconds, but after it falls off, the slow stacking effect resets in full. Returning to the area before the lingering effect drops will continue to stack the slow amount.

While charging up, Favron’s soul is displaced by the Geist which is currently Geist Bound to him, increasing the distance his displaced soul can travel as he charges up. At the max charge he may hold it briefly, but after a short time the spell will cast immediately. After his soul is displaced, if the weapon currently being used is not the Geist Bound weapon, then Favron will switch to it. Then he loses the ability to swap to other weapons for the next for 5.0 / 6.0 / 7.0 seconds.

Favron displaced soul spews out as ectoplasm while it travels, dealing 200 / 320 / 440 (+50% AP) (+50% AD) in magic damage, and marking effected enemies as Grieved for 5.0 / 6.0 / 7.0 seconds. Favron gains bonuses auto attacking these marked enemy units depending on the current Geist Bound ability.

Q: Gudan’s Rapier Favron gains 150% / 200% / 250% Attack Speed versus marked units.

W: Hernella’s Spear Favron gains additional 50% / 100% / 150% bonus Critical Strike Damage versus marked units.

E: Nolin’s Crossbow Favron gains additional 60% / 80% / 100% bonus Critical Strike Chance versus marked units.

Additionally, if Favron auto attacks any enemy units marked as Grieved while other marked enemy units are within a medium radius of each other while using ranged auto attacks, he will send a Grieved auto attack projectile to all marked units overlapped by the target, including the original target. While using melee attacks, the Geist aligned with the weapon will attack all enemies in the same Grieved fashion. These Grieved projectiles and attacks can critically strike.

  • The normal auto attack projectile shot at the main target will be visually replaced by the Grieved projectile, so they will receive damage and be visually be hit by only one projectile.

Spreading out the buffs based on the Geist Bound ability enforces the design theme of "predetermined choice" and allows for players to either prepare or react with the flow of game.

Amazing, simply amazing. I have no words, that could describe this more, just pure cliché amazing.

I like his visuals, spells and how rewarding it would be to learn to play him.

As of the numbers on each ability.. I don't care about them as much, because they can be balanced out pretty easily! :)

So, great job and I would like to see more champion concepts from you in future! [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

A showcase champion concept? Damned it has been well about a year sense I have seen one of these. This is actually quite exciting. If you don't mind I will drop off a review of the kit for you.

Innate Going for a weapon master sort of feel for this champion I see. Being able to switch weapons even with the ability on cool down is a nice touch to the ability. As well you get incentive to attack with certain weapons granting that cool down reduction. Even though the incentive is there to use the melee weapons, I feel as though many players are going to stick to the cross bow, just due to the range it provides. Which by the way for a ranged basic attack it does have quite the long range when compared to most marksman. It is like similar to Jayce being that most of the time you stay within the ranged form. If there was more incentive to be melee this might be a little better. Like perhaps maybe doubling the cool down reduction for the melee attacks? Just a suggestion. A great start none the less.

Q Honestly I enjoy this ability. It reminds me of one I put on a champion a long while back. Though this one has in built sustain. Now while the dash range is extremely low and even with the extended range that can be provided to it, I feel this ability it in a good place. Mainly this is due to the overall range and the damage it offers.

W Now while in theory I do like this ability, I have a concern with this one. You have the mechanic of spreading it out in a cone for each stab, but I feel as it wont gain much use. Mainly because I don't see a reason why to spread out the strikes. Sense it deals so much physical damage over a short duration of course. The reason why this mechanic works with Heim so well is that it has far more range for one, but not only that each missile deals reduced damage after the first when striking a single target. Sense this is more of a closer range ability you could do one to several things. Either add an additional effect to spreading the spears out, reduce the subsequent damage for striking linearly, or make the linear thrusts come out slower. These are suggestions that you can take or work with.

E It is a bit funny seeing that the ability to bring out the cross bow as much less range then the actual weapon provides. What I suggest is simply equalizing the ranges for a simple fix. Though as for the ability as a whole, it actually isn't bad at all. I like the persisting AoE slowing field that follows targets hit. Making the slow build up does give it a ghastly feel to it. Making it unable to travel through walls is an interesting choice...not sure if I would make the same call if designing an ability like this. Then again it does add an extra layer of depth for mastery when playing him so I am okay with it.

R Alright the ultimate is something that has a few interesting regards about it. Basically sacrificing a weapon and ability for this geist to deal the damage is unique, I will give you that. One thing I don't exactly see on the ability is how long the geist lasts. There isn't a duration for how long the ultimate lasts. Which this may have been an over sight who knows. Though gaining critical strike chance, critical damage, and attack speed for the ultimate? Now I will admit that is a bit over kill. Basically not only does this do damage over a large area, then you gain this massive steroid which just increases his damage output by a ton on his own. Not only that but you have the Grieved effect on targets that causes attacks from him to in a sense chain to nearby grieved units. What I can see is this ultimate ability is a bit overload, this can simply be said about the steroid. You already have something that can grant an impact, you should put more focus on that and remove said steroid. Either that or you can make the weapon choice given up to grant a stat but not all three. Like you could have the rapier give crit chance, the spear give crit damage, and the cross bow give attack speed, or what ever stats you desire.

Overall

You have quite the interesting concept. There are a few things that can be done for balance of course. While being fleshed out, I feel as though there are some things that need to be worked out. The innate passive for example kinda gives a feeling for the kit as a whole, "Choice". This of course how I look at it. You should maybe go about the kit giving the feeling of impact for their decisions. What does a player gain from doing one thing and what do they lose from it? Asking that question may open up a bit more in regards to how some changes to the kit can go about.

Anyways I hope this helps out a bit. I wouldn't mind some feedback for one of my concepts if you don't mind dropping on by.
