Avonna was discarded at birth. Her face was disfigured, her body riddled and malformed. Not even granted the graces of care as an infant of her well off parents and family in the city of Zaun, she was left in her birth spot after her face was seen by her mother. Growing up alone with her problems always left Avonna with abandonment for those willing to look after the child, chosen to do so out of pity. Her problems left her social isolated from children around her, always trying to be in the corner, out of sight, leading to her having communication and speech issues.

As a teenager, she decided that her life as it was, could be different… better. Stealing enough coin to travel from her adoptive family – a family that was the most caring to Avonna – to avoid the pain of her issues in her hometown, seeking a start over elsewhere. She has heard of Ionia, and the peaceful nature the place holds, it would be a new beginning there for her. She travel there not knowing the exact route but heading in the right direction. As she journeyed, she needed run for her life from scavengers and wild beast on her route. Her troubled pleading with highwaymen only lead to more complications, yet she managed to escape.

Tattered even more emaciated from her travels, she finally made it only to be corralled by guards and thrown into the feet of Karma, as she would decide the future of this strange wanderer. Deciding that her body was both expressive and nimble, even though her wrap coverings, she would be used to assist monks and other warriors train both mentally and physically in the Ionian monasteries.

Struggling at first, she was able to gain mental control through many hours of meditation. She keep a true inner focus, able to move past all the trauma of her childhood. Afterwards she moved to the physical side of the training assistance. She would pick up the skills and abilities being practiced on her, and master then although she never offensively practiced them herself.

After years of training, she was welcomed back to see Karma. After a very warm welcome, she was gifted fans from Karma. As a show of appreciation, she incorporated the fans into her preferred weapon while training, the Dai-kunai.

She now looks to teach and train others who start off like she did. The lost, the broken, the unwanted, who find their way to Ionia.

#Abilities

##PASSIVE: Swift Finesse On Hit Buff Modifier | Conditional Self Buff

Whenever Avonna gains a movement speed bonus with a set duration, she can extend the duration by .5 seconds for every auto attack she lands on an enemy champion with the buff active. This can stack up to 4 / 6 / 8 times, or a total of 2.0 / 3.0 / 4.0 seconds.

Avonna gains 50% of any total movement speed bonus percentage she has as additional attack speed.

  • The movement speed bonus must have a set duration for the bonus to be able to take effect, so there is no issue with any Janna’s Passive like aura effects.
  • If there are multiple movement speed bonus simultaneously in effect for Avonna, each proc of the passive will extend all movement speed bonus’ duration applied to Avonna.

If closed, Avonna spreads the fans around her kunais, then swipes them both in a cone in front of her quickly, damaging all enemy units in the area for 60 / 85 / 135 / 175 / 230 (+60% AD) in total physical damage for two hits as auto attacks, applying on hit effects, and healing for 25% of the total damage dealt versus minions and monsters.

If the fans are open, she closes them, then attacks the same fashion, but heals for 25% of the total damage dealt versus champions and monsters instead.

  • Casting this ability will reset the auto attack timer.
  • The fans are opened or closed during the cast time.

Avonna gains 40% / 45% / 50% / 55% / 60% bonus movement speed for 2.0 seconds, also reducing the effectiveness of slows against her by 20% / 40% / 60 % / 80 % / 100% for the duration.

You may recast the ability within 2.0 seconds for additional effects. If you don’t, Apposite Advance is put on cooldown at a reduced by 25% duration.

Second Cast Linear Collision Dash Range: 400 Dash Speed: 800 Casting Time: .25 Interrupts Movement: No

Avonna dashes in a target direction. If she collides with an enemy unit, she uses them as a spring board, dealing 50 / 80 / 135 / 185 / 230 (+65% AD) in physical damage during the bounce off, launching her in the air for 1.25 seconds. While in the air she is immune to crowd control, can charge/cast her other abilities, and the player may move and control Avonna’s movement as normal.

If Avonna dashes into terrain, she will springboard into the air off of the terrain at the same angle of approach for a flat distance of 200 / 250 / 300 / 350 / 400 units. She may also cast her abilities during the terrain springboard portion.

  • While Avonna is in the air during the second cast of this ability, she is not considered airborne.


##E: Kunai Throw Passive Critical Strike Modifier | On Critical Hit Stock Modifier

Avonna gains 5% / 10% / 15% / 20% / 25% bonus Critical Strike Chance versus units with Stacks of Kunai.

Whenever Avonna critically strikes an enemy champion who holds stacks of Kunai, Avonna will gain back a stock back for Kunai Throw, removing one stack from the struck enemy champion.

When casting this ability, it begins a charge. When cast at any amount less than full charge, Avonna will throw a single kunai in a direction, dealing 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 / 90 / 105 (+80% Bonus AD) in physical damage. Enemy units damaged this way will have a stack of Kunai placed on them, lasting 4.0 seconds. Further applications refresh the duration and add a stack.

When cast at a full charge after 1.0 seconds, Avonna roots herself while releasing all kunais she has in stock in quick succession in the direction of the mouse cursor. Each kunai thrown in this way will deal a reduced 25% damage, still applying the stack of Kunai per kunai. If this ability is casted while Avonna is in the air from Apposite Advance, the self-root debuff will be avoided.

  • When respawning or the first skill point is put into this ability, Avonna will hold the current maximum amount of stocks available.

  • Damaged units with stacks will have a single visible dagger sticking out of their model.



##R: Redemptive Rush Unit Targeted Pass Through Dash | On Spell Buff Spell Radius: 300 Effect Width: 300 Dash Through Distance: 300 Dash Speed: 1600 Cost: 100 Cooldowns: 80 / 70 / 60 Casting Time: .75 seconds Interrupts Movement: Yes

Avonna spins around while drawing out her large fan. At the end of her spin she dashes through her target in a straight line for a short fix distance, with additional effects if she hits terrain, dealing 225 / 375 / 550 (+80% AD) in physical damage. If Avonna dashes into terrain this way, she will springboard into the air off of the terrain at the same angle of approach for a flat distance of 200 / 300 / 400 units. She may also cast her abilities during the terrain springboard portion.

After a brief delay of .75 seconds, the area Avonna dashed through will then knocks aside all enemy units in the area except the targeted unit. Any enemy unit, including the targeted unit, will have their movement speed slowed by 40% / 50% / 60% while in this effected area lingering for 3.0 / 3.5 / 4.0 seconds, while Avonna will gain a flat movement speed bonus of all the movement speed lost this way.

  • The knock aside source point will be the thin lined area Avonna dashed. The lined knock aside effect will take place instantaneously along the route after the delay.

Thematically it seems really cool, mechanically the kit seems to flow pretty well.

Numbers wise you might have made it way too strong.

The springboarding mechanic seems really really cool, and it would probably be lots of fun to use.

I don't understand what you mean by "stock" and how that interacts with critical chance. Could you please elaborate as to how the Kunai ability works and how it interacts with stats like critical chance and cooldown reduction, as well as what the point of stacking them on a single enemy is?

it seems the design of character could use some Zaun visual influence. The character currently resides on Ionia but with all Zaun characters in the game at the moment they all have a specific look to them. Or atleast they have a generic colour scheme or little details on clothing that is similar.

Awesome champion! I'm quite impressed. I agree with Halcyon, cool game play, and I really like the "springboard" mechanics. I think it might be cool if having stocks (I think you meant stacks) on an enemy would grant bonus critical strike chance. And perhaps with her R you could make it deal less damage on casting but mark the target unit causing her to deal increased damage. Also I have a couple of questions, what subclass would she be (Diver, Skirmisher, Assassin, Unique Play Style, etc (https://www.google.com/search?q=taking+another+look+at+subclasses&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8)? Also in terms of her thematic, what would she talk like (simple things like if there would be en effect to her voice (e.g a metallic sound)? What is her personality? As in how would you describe her. Three more questions, mentally, what is her biggest strength, what is her biggest weakness, and what does she fear most? I personally find that questions like this help me build my characters. Awesome concept though man! God bless!
