• Lyris, the Smoke of Trickery PRIMARY: Assassin/SECONDARY: Mage

Lyris is a Assassin, Mage type champion, while she has low damages, her kit is focused on drawing out fights and juking enemies, with her trickster abilities she doesn't aim to kill enemies directly, but lure them in for one.

ABILITIES:

Passive: Smokeborn- Lyris passively ignores unit collision. Every 10/9/8 seconds, Lyris’s next ability cast dissolves her into a smoke cloud, turning her untargetable for 0.75/1/1.25 seconds. During this time she gains a 10% movement speed buff.

Q: Smoke Bluff- Lyris engulfs herself with smoke and enters stealth for 2/2.25/2.5/2.75/3 seconds. Enemies within an area around Lyris are dealt 30/60/90/120/150 (+40% AP) and are also blinded for 1.25 seconds.

(40/45/50/55/60 Mana) (6/6/6/6/6 Cooldown) (300 Range) (150 Radius)

W: Smogcatcher- Lyris casts a winding smoke trail that stops on the first enemy struck, slowing them by 10/15/20/25/30% for 1 second and dealing 80/105/130/155/180 (+65% AP). If it strikes an enemy, they leave a smoke trail behind them for up to 4 seconds. If Lyris walks into this trail, she gains 50/75/100/125/150% increased health regeneration and can cast Smoke Bluff for free and with a 2 second cooldown while on this trail, however dealing half of its normal damage, not stealthing her and not blinding enemies, but will give her 4/5/6/7/8% increased movement speed stacking to 3 times. NOTE: The smoke trail will only occur if it hits a target, if it does not it simply disappears.

(70/75/80/85/90 Mana) (15/14/13/12/11 Cooldown) (900 Range)

**E: Smouldering Assault-**PASSIVE: For 3 seconds after leaving any sort of stealth, Lyris gains 30% attack speed after leaving stealth for 3 seconds, her basic attacks deal an additional 2% of their current health as magic damage and marks them with Fuming Smoke for 4 seconds, if Lyris walks in the direction of a marked enemy she gains 10% bonus movement speed. ACTIVE: If any marked enemies are within 1000 range of Lyris, she can empower the smoke to cause it to spread to nearby enemies and shredding them of 15% of their magic resist.

(No Cost) (9/9/9/9/9 Cooldown)

**R: Smokedive- **Lyris turns into smoke and leaps into the air, becoming untargetable for the first 1.5 seconds. She then can remain in the air for up to another 3 seconds, but is not untargetable. After this she can then choose to dive to a location, dealing 150/260/370 (+50% AP) and reducing the vision range of all enemy champions she hits in the area for 1.5 seconds, slowing them by 20% for 2 seconds. If Lyris casts Smoke Bluff while diving to location, she dives faster and more viciously, dealing damage in the same area, but also unleashing smoke in a larger area, stealthing herself for 1 second, reducing the vision range of enemies caught and also afflicting all enemies caught with the Smogcatcher debuff.

(No Cost) (120/110/100 Cooldown) (500-1100 Range) (1500 Range Maximum)

First of all, Lyris puts me in the mind of Leblanc's half sister who turned out to be a muggle, can only perform simple parlor tricks, and her father is a Graves W. Now that may sound bad, but in all honestly, I think it's actually a cool concept. It's like a toned down Leblanc for a more strategic purpose as opposed to just W-Q-R-Q-E ... which I think has some potential. Secondly, I'm probably the last person that actually has the right to criticize this idea so...keep that in mind and take me seriously or disregard me. I believe both are valid options, haha.

  1. Smokedive: I have no real concept of power across the entire board of league of legends, but I think this move is actually balanced, surprisingly. Well done on that front, or I just don't know enough, haha. It seems like it has solid gank potential, but it doesn't seem like it's so overwhelming that you make or break a lane. In fact, I could definitely see where Smokediving into Thresh's box would probably get you killed. So, I like this one.
  2. Movement Speed There's so much movement speed, and if all of that stacks, I'm deathly afraid of a faster, sometimes untargetable, Janna with all the spam of an Annie Q with the chase-down of an Udyr coupled with Kassadin's ult in the form of movement speed. Maybe the math works out, and I'll probably check it later (seeing as how I don't have time now). But, if I'm not mistaken, a Lyris player could expect to move freely and easily at around 500+ move speed for a good chunk of the game. And, unfortunately, as much as I do love Rammus, Zilean, and Hecarim, my heart can't allow Orianna and her basic attacks to always be in range of me...while I can't fight back. So nerf the overall possible movement speed maybe, or at least.....give me time to see how the numbers work out, haha.
  3. Smouldering Assault So...why did she just become Nocturne? (o_o) Also, I don't think infinite vision is all that great of an idea...especially considering the chase down mentioned earlier. She might have low damage, and she might be the type to "juke" her enemies and draw out fights, but honestly, all I'm seeing is "Use these moves...dodge what I can...buy Lich Bane and Nashor's Tooth..chase them hard....basic attack to death." However, as I said, I am by no means the #1 expert on this. Lyris could be crazy balanced, and I could just be a heckler, but these are the problems that I see right now.

Overall: Please do not take offense by anything I've said here. Just attribute it to my...perhaps off-brand of constructive criticism. I do believe Lyris has potential, and the idea of dodging the right move at the right time and following up perfectly or performing the most wonderful untargetable gank known to man does sound very appealing. But, I feel as though by trying to create a low power champion and make up for it in other areas, you've actually created something that could be a demon in its own regard. I really do like the idea though, I just don't like the idea of never being able to escape after 5 minutes....even if I'm Shaco.

Food for thought: I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on using multiple smoke clouds to maneuver around the battlefield. It puts me in the mind of being able to "flash" to a relatively close (non-damaging) Heimerdinger turret.

Please forgive all mistakes or other obnoxious nuances. I'll try to fix them later, haha.
