#Lore
Frightened and afraid, Pereku hid behind a moss covered rock. The Kumungu Jungle is a hostile place, especially to those who are not at the top of the food chain. And for, Pereku, she was not. A loud roar and a swipe, the rock she hid behind now was a pieces. Renger, a mighty hunter, was seeking his prey. His ferocity was only outmatched by Pereku’s speed and agility to escape. A few frantic dashes away from Rengar, and Pereku was able to avoid being caught, as she always have. Her natural talents were never designed for hunting. However, she could flee very well. This is what kept her alive in this jungle.
That is until, she was hunted by Nidalee. Not for some need. Not out of instinct. But for game. She constantly laid traps, just to find out if Pereku would fail to avoid them. Always watchful and careful, she did. However knowing this, Nidalee waited one time, and attacked as Pereku carefully stepped around the trap, only to be hit by a wounding spear. As Nidalee walked up to her, she stepped into the brushes and came out as a cougar. A soaring pounce from Nidalee targeting a poorly fleeing Pereku little change. The last sound she hear was the sound of her sides being swiped from a viscous claw attack.
The pain. The pain stopped. Hunger stopped. Stress seemed to melt away…
Then the cold, the cold crept overwhelmingly in its place. Sadness. Sadness turned to anger, followed by fury, turning in rage… Then, there was a moment of clarity. A moment of complete understanding. A moment of realization; hatred. All other emotions that was absent. This is what Pereku has become now. Her weak and fearful life has led her to this end. She needed a way to express it. Her formless self willed its way in a direction. She remained misguided until she heard a echoing, and resounding voice.
: ”If you seek retribution, come to me. I will give you form.”
Pereku: ”I seek it. I need it. Where are you? What power do you hold?”
: ”The might of the Shawdow Isles. I am Hecarim, and I can lead you. If you choose follow, you will have what you wish.”
Pereku: ”Lead me to the Shadow Isles.”
A slow energy, outside of Pereku’s will, pulled on her with ever increasing force. As she sped along, the volume of galloping hooves increased. She was finally able to see the tail end of Hecarim during this travel with the hooves making a near deafening sound. After arrival, Hecarim brought her to the Black Mist.
: ”Step through the Mist and all shall be yours. You need not to do more than to survive.”
As Pereku slowly stepped through Mist, there was a metamorphosis. She was encased in rage and cause, it fused with her current form. Confused filled her mind as she was expecting to be hunted and killed by something, but with this fight, there was no escape. She fought her inner demons of fear, dread, and helplessness. When those were gone, all that was left was anger, and malice. This is the way she always wanted to be. Hecairm spoke of the truth; all that she wanted was now hers. Almost everything she wants.
Now she set on getting more. Getting revenge. Getting to show her true self.
###Getting Nidalee.
##July 2015 Monthly Champion Creation Contest — The Price of War Lore
Knowing where to find Nidalee was never the hard part. Many rumors have aligned and pointed her to now “protecting”…as Nidalee calls it, but ruling the Kumungu Jungle through power and terror. There even speak of her forcing Rengar into doing her personal bidding. Pereku was taking a dark path to the Kumungu Jungle heading East from the Fyrone Flats. She missed the presence of a dark hooded figure lingering in the shadows along her path. Without words, it reached out to her.
Pereku, still holding memories of her past life, was quick to evade the reaching hand. Mixed with her new feelings of anger, she attack whatever it is. Pereku leaped at it with both sharp claws. As she neared contact with the creature, she felt a weird sense, a sense that she remembers after being slain. As she hit the point of contact, she fell right through whatever creature that w supposedly there. Looking up after a failed attacked she saw a hooded shade, who seemed to be smiling through his evil eyes.
Shade: ”I admit, I am interested in your viciousness. You will make a fine asset to Lord Ahimoth.”
Even through death and rebirth, the Pereku knew of Lord Ahimoth, and his power.
Pereku: ”I cannot join him. His quest is great, but none of my concern.”
Shade: ”But yet it is… He knows of your fear that is deep inside you. This will make your slaying of Nidalee nigh impossible. How dare you to think that the mightiest Hunter in the Jungle will be afraid of you, as you are afraid of a shades’ hand. He will be able to remove that deep seated fear. That is, if you are willing to devote yourself to his cause.”
Pereku: ”How could such a thing be possible?”
Shade: ”Ask yourself, what seems impossible with the might of Lord Ahimoth?”
Pereku knew that like before, she can get what she seeks if she was only to follow, and thats what she would do. If she had no fear, no deep primal instinct of fear, her might would be unquestionable. This would give her full self to power dominate the Jungle as she wished.
Pereku: ”You will take me to him now. In return, have reign over the Kumungu Jungle when his quest is finished.”
Shade: ”Very well, but Lord Ahimoth requires a test of your skill, and courage for that matter, first the Shade said with the jaded tone. “There will be 5 Shadow Watchers¹ attacking you, all at once. Defeat them all without being struck once, and Lord Ahimoth will consider you.”
Pereku: ”When does this begin, where will I fight?”
Shade: ”Look around you… the shadows are everywhere. Your trial begins now!”
The Shade yelled this with ghostly trail at the end as he slowly vanished back into the darkness from which he came.
Pereku; ”I fear not of the Shadow Watc…!”
And with that the fear in Pereku was tested. The Shade was right, and the Shadow Watchers attack shortly after the Shades’ disappearance. There was a near miss of the attack, due to the reflexes of Pereku, evading the attack and maneuvering behind it.
Quick on the aggressive, Pereku swiped at it with a vicious attack on its back, knocking it down but not out. Another two came out of the shadows, barely being seen. They surrounded her from either side. The two attack simultaneously both aiming for a killing blow to the side of her head. Pereku forced her body downward in a prone state, using this as a spring board to leap up high and towards the now recovering Shadow Watcher, both claws coming together in the leap to strike it. This devastating attack left the Shadow Watcher squirt out some black mist. Pereku sensing weakness, she let off a fury of follow up swipes, each hitting quicker than the last, causing more and more the mist to splatter about the area. She continued until the Shadow Walker was no more.
Her viciousness was on fully display, with her claws glowing red from her anger. Her attack left the black mist spread around the area on have it darken whatever it touched. The 4 remaining Shadow Watchers moved about quickly by using the area covered in the mist in their shadow form. They now had ability to strike from everywhere. Flanking Pereku with a assault from behind, she felt their movements from the motion in her fur of her tail. This gave her just enough time dodge 3 of the attacks placing some distance between her and the Watchers. The fourth on again used the mist a mean to travel with Pereku, but seeing how they used this trick before, she attacked preemptively. The swing from her claw nearly cleaved the Shadow Watcher in half leaving behind a trail of hatred where she swing. Follow up by the reaming 3 Shadow Watchers was quick, but used against them, the trail of hatred exploded forcing them to go back into shadow form and disappear in the darkness of the area. Not able to get a sense from her tail and unable to see, Pereku went ballistic, sourcing from her fear deep inside her of now feeling hunted by them. She attacked wildly as quickly as she could with her red claws all around her in a sort of aggressive defense. There was silence outside of the wild swings. She leaped up and swung, attacking the air, only to fall down and land in a ditch. With this advantage the Shadow Watchers attacked, leaving no room for Pereku to dodge or run. Seeing that the only that the complete eradication of them would end this, she focused all of her energy and fury in herself. She dashed up towards the middle Shadow Watcher, and while moving, she noticed herself shift into her shapeless form prior to being guided Hecarim. All of the strikes attempted by the Shadow Walkers phased right through her, leaving her unharmed, and more importantly untouched.
Her next strike she was so quick, even she surprised herself with her with the attack. The middle Shadow Watcher was slashed by her claw, leaving a thin white trail as they met in midair. The pure and focused energy from that attack radiated to the other Shadow Watchers, each receiving the pain from the middle one. After she landed, all the Shadow Watchers feel to the ground. As soon as they made contact, the white claw attack turned into a red line, bursting them all into black mist from following explosion. Tired but unharmed, Pereku rested in the middle of the darkness of the black mist from the Shadow Walkers. She needed her energy to face her next target: Nidalee.
When the sun arise the next day, the darkness has was gone. She arose and took a few steps continuing towards the Kumungu Jungle.
Shade: ”And where do you think you are off to? Have you forgetting your agreement?”
Even in the brightness of the day, the Shade was difficult to have his presence be known.
Pereku: ”I have not, and you failed to present yourself after the battle. I have rested and looked to continue my task, absent of your instructions.”
Shade: ”My absence lead to further instructions, from Lord Ahimoth himself. He is impressed with your abilities with how you handled the Shadow Watchers He also knows that you will continue to the Jungle afterwards, and look to rule it. There is an enemy of the Dark Legion attempting to protect it: Goram, Wrath of Nature. You will meet him near the border between the two lands. Defeat him and rule over Jungle as you wish. Fail him and… Let’s just not fail Ahimoth.”
Pereku: ”Nothing will stop me.”
Shade: ”We shall see…”
Once again, the shade vanished into the darkness casted by the shadows. Pereku faced East and continued towards the Kumungu Jungle, looking out for Goram as she travels.
######¹ — Shadow Watchers is the proper name I gave to the powerful automatons with shadow abilities.
To be continued.

#Design Notes
##Champion Design Inspirations

##Intentions
-
I was interested in putting use and a unique spin to the bleed mechanic. Also, have it interact with other enemy units who are bleeding, comparable to Cassiopeia with poison.
-
I look to give strong initiation and ganking ability with little escape options. The movement speed increase on her Rend the Flesh towards the enemy unit reinforces this idea. Escape options include wasting an strong ult, or walking up and leaping backwards with your Rend the Flesh ability, which minimizes overall damage for that trade.
##Champion Animation
Standing Depicted above, in the Race division within the Basic Information section.
Normal Auto Attack Pereku will swipe horizontally, with a low and aggressive stance. Her swipes will follow in the pattern of swinging from: Left, Left Right, Left, Right, Right repeatedly. Critical Strikes will continue this pattern with its own animation.
Critical Strike Auto Attack Pereku will attack he target with a downward diagonal slash, sourcing from her low and aggressive stance.
Running She will run with slightly backwards lean with bouncy light jogging stance, as depicted in Champion Picture, with the middle representation within the picture.
+400 Movement Speed She will have the same log jog bounce to her step with her ruining animation while learning more forward with her strides. Effects will include phantasmal smoke trail as depicted above in Champion Picture, with the bottom representation within the picture.
Recall Pereku will sit back on her hind legs and look up to the sky. Her third eye will begin to glow brighter as a small dark grey circle of ghostly origins is slightly above her. It will drop down and around her and have her third eye turn white when it reaches the bottom. She then returns to base shortly after the white eye is revealed. It will turn back red upon reaching the base.
Empowered Recall Pereku will stand tall and scratch the ground with an individual claw every 1.0 seconds until she returns to base.
Death Pereku will continue in whichever direction she was moving in at death for one stumbling step, then fall on her side with all limbs stretched out and a stiff tail. If she was near a bleeding enemy with her third eye open, it will slowly close along with her normal eyes.
AFK I wanted an animation to start if a player has been AFK for 3 minutes to determine if that player has attempted no on screen action (mouse movement, browsing shop, etc) for whichever reason, to answer the question of ‘Did XYZ AFK?’ They will keep any automatic actions (autonomously attacking, etc), then return to this animation after 10 seconds of no automatic action and no on screen actions.
Pereku will walk in a small circle, scratching the ground 3 times before laying down with her body being circled, then go to sleep. If she was near a bleeding enemy with her third eye open, it will slowly close along with her normal eyes.
Dance Kitty Cat Dance
##Ability Animation
PASSIVE: Amplified Hatred Her third eye between her two normal eye will open up quickly having no iris, if there is a visable bleeding enemy within her normal sight range.
Q: Rend the Flesh Pereku leaps in a forceful pounce, arching her body as as depicted above in Champion Picture, with the top representation within the picture. Both of her claws come together being side by side during the leap, attacking her target with them as she lands.
W: Dominate the Weak
Passive Champions will bleed and have the blood trail follow them similar to Talon’s Noxian Diplomacy.
Active Pereku claws will glow with medium intensity matching the color of her third eye, leaving behind a small mist trail of red for each empowered attack. This trail dissipates after .75 seconds.
E: Tear to Shreds Pereku will root herself briefly with stand on her hind legs, giving her a small boost in height. She will swipe starting from the middle then outward on each side with each of her claws. Her left claw will be slightly higher than her right. This attack will leave a black ripping trail. The trail will clasped on itself, sourcing from the center to each side quickly.
R: Eradication When a target is selected her third eye will immediately open. She will rush towards them in a very low profile, while gaining the particle effects of her +400 movement speed status. Upon reaching the target she will take a large full body swipe at the them a leaving a long thin white claw swipe trail at them. At this point, if no further similar unit types are in the area, the animation ends and damages the unit. If there is, all similar unit types will then receive the claw trail on them without the need of Pereku slashing at them. Lastly, the white claw trail burst into a blood red color followed by a bright flash. All affected will then be damaged.
#Summary
##Weaknesses
-
Struggles when laning against champions with strong health regeneration and armor, or lane swaps with consistent poke.
-
Pereku needs some form of support when planning on any initiation. She may get in quickly, but has no burst damage or escape after initiation.
-
Her ultimate may not be able to deliver maximum damage without the needed stacks of Eradicate every team fight or buff objective battle.
##Advantages
-
Situational build paths with focuses on Attack Damage and Critical Strike Chance for maximum damage or a Life Steal and Attack Speed for an advantge in constant skirmishes and sustain.
-
Ultimate is useful for both team fighting and jungle control, and if in desperate need, wave clear.
-
Her clean up ability is very strong with using her ultimate later in team fights. Pereku can capitalize on split pushing and using a Teleport arrival for team fights.

here ult and you basically press R to win granted its got a 100 sec cool down but w/ 40% CDR (easy to get w/ essence reaver) its on a 60 sec cooldown. The only hard part of this spell is stacking it against champions but hey the hero is build for trades and meant for unloading damage at a single target (besides the ult).
maybe? ).
Otherwise it feels like a bursty AD damager that can duel tanks but can be easily bursted herself. Having space to move will be a big factor and how this champion is played as well as positioning.
