The first of the Vastaya, the Vasthayshai'rei became legends all across Valoran as beings of pure magic, but as the magic of Runeterra dwindled, so too did the mighty Vasthayshai'rei. Their legends becoming mere myths, but from the Vasthayshai'rei the Vastaya emerged, beings of both magic and nature.

Her brothers and sisters originated from the heart of Runeterra, which humans once called the Blessed Isles, where now only the hooves of the damned can be heard marching, devoid of life or death.

Amalthea, being the last living Vasthayshai'rei, quietly shepherds her children from their forest to join the rest of the natural world. She believes that through love, the world can find harmony, peace, and unity.

"My children, there are no happy endings because nothing ever truly ends."

Ranged Support

Passive - Forest's Paths: Amalthea builds up bonus movement speed over time as she moves. When she is at her max movement speed she will begin to skip, and as she skips she leaves behind a trail that reveal a small area around them. The effect and appearance of her trail is based on her current form.

Q - Changing Winds - First Cast: Amalthea cycles through Summer, Winter, and Spring for 6 seconds. Choosing one by reactivating Changing Winds converts Amalthea into a Summer, Winter, or Spring form, and casts the effect based on the season selected. Amalthea's apparent age changes based on the season. With Summer she is an adult, with Winter she is elderly, and with Spring she becomes a child.

  • Summer: Amalthea throws a ball of fire in a target direction, which bounces and grows larger with every bounce, dealing magic damage over time to all enemies hit. Amalthea also covers the area around her in her trail, causing her and her near by allies to deal burning magic damage on their next attack. Allies who walk over her trail gain the on hit effect on their next attack and enemies who walk on the trail are deals magic damage over time. "Here comes the sun! Dodododo"

  • Winter: Amalthea blows chilling wind in a wide line in a target direction, dealing magic damage and slowing enemies over time who stand in the wind. Amalthea covers the area around her in her trail, which now causes grievous wound and slows enemies who walk on it. "Lets make this world a little colder"

  • Spring: Amalthea throws a ball of plants at a target location, which causes vines to reach out and tethering to the nearest enemy champion for a second before pulling them into the center of the plants, dealing magic damage in the process. Amalthea causes her trail to appear around her. Allies in the trail immediately gain her passive bonus movement speed, as well as decreasing in size, while on the trail. "Strawberry fields, forever!"

W - Forest's Heart - First Cast: Amalthea can cause a tree to grow in a bush(temporary bushes will be forced to last until the Tree is destroyed) which can be destroyed by enemies attacking them a number of times, and acts as terrain. While an allied tree is active on the map, Amalthea's other abilities will also emanate from the tree, and will automatically aim towards any near by enemies, prioritizing champions. If her tree is still alive when she is dead, she may continue to cast spells from the tree. Clicking on her portrait will destroy her current tree.

  • Second Cast: While in a bush Amalthea can channel and slowly encase herself in a tree. After the channel she bursts from the other tree she had planted, as a new one is planted in her place.

E - Flowing Mana Fountain: Amalthea causes water to shoot up at her feet, which lasts for several seconds. Knocking herself and all units in the fountain up, but not interrupting any of their actions, allowing them to pass over walls. Allies in the fountain gain bonus health regeneration and their abilities will have no cost while in the fountain. Her tree becomes untargetable while in the fountain.

R - The Last Tear - Passive: When her allied champions die, they leave behind a flower bud.

  • Active: Targeting an allied flower bud will cause Amalthea to channel. After her channel, she "dies" and her ally is revived on the spot with full health and Amalthea's passive until she respawns. Her abilities will also emanate from them until she respawns. "With every mistake we must surely be learning, but still my eyes gently weep"

Allies: Ahri Rakan Ivern Enemies: Xayah Hecarim

Quotes:

Starting: _"We can't just sit here doing nothing but aging." _ Starting with an allied Garen and Katarina: "I see the love there that's sleeping"

Killing a jungle monster: "That's sad... (laughter)"

Taunting around Soraka or Bard: "Jai guru deva om"

Question about her R, it seems really neat but would it count to the k/d/a because that'd kinda make it impossible to get a S or extremely hard...

Not thats its not a cool idea but I feel that there is already to many champs simmaler to her such as Soraka and Hecarim her q is to much like TwistedFate

I think you have a super interesting concept here! But as a kit she's so strong that I look at it and think that despite doing interesting things, I hope she never gets into the game due to how gamebreaking she would be.

I think the passive is nice, but you could tie it in to her abilities more. It's a bit too similar to Janna/elixir of iron right now imo.

She has power budget issues. Every version of her Q has a powerful active AND at least one powerful passive effect (Summer has two!). It's a bit too much for one spell imo. Heck, I'd say between the three forms her Q gives her she's holding the power budget of an entire champion kit. But on top of having such a strong Q all of her other spells are also very strong, one of which allows her to double up on her overbearing Q. You could literally spread her Q into her Q, W, and E with one for assuming each form a la Udyr but as a mage, and she may still be too strong.

Specific change recommendations: (I'm just spitballing here, feel free to ignore.) On the summer form only give the extra auto attack damage on targets that have been hit by the fireball. Winter form will likely need to have words with spaghetti code about its passive. Maybe just make it be a slow and a grev wounds, would have much the same effect. Since she's a mage i don't think she will get much out of it being an aura, so once again I would recommend it being on hit. (Or instead of on-hit you could think of some cool combo interactions with the flowers from her passive) Spring form: Seems super cool actually. Especially love the flower spreading part, work with that more. However, it does seem a bit too similar to what Ori ult does but with bonus flowers so I would recommend changing it from a gravity pull thing to a root or something?

Being able to cast spells the entire time you are dead is also somewhat problematic, even as an ultimate. I think a spell that outright kills you should be avoided.

Her W is going for the Totem user thing that riot has said they wanted to do, and I applaud you for trying to make it work. With her current kit I think the synergy with her E is awesome but the synergy with Q is problematic. Auras are too strong if they're noticeable, that's why Riot has been slowly removing them from the game. Having a champ that can slap them down in multiple places would understandably cause big issues in terms of power.

Her E is as powerful as an ultimate. I'd suggest making it her ultimate and losing the death shtick.

Of course, you could balance her kit with the numbers as it is, but they would need to be VERY low numbers to compensate for the amount of safety and auras that she has.

Overall I like the concept as a direction and I hope you're able to refine it a bit more into something that truly shines!
