#Lore

Klarinthal was once the personal Guardsman and Servant of the Noxian General Boram Darkwill. During the Rune Wars, a Noxian push to take control of Kalamada against Demacia was in full effect. As the Noxian General knew of the military strategic value of land of Kalamanda, Noxian spies and scientist learned of the power that is held in the area though its magical crystals. With incomplete knowledge, the scientist knew only of its power and not of its consequences.

During a hot and dreadful day of fighting, the Noxian forces were able to successfully take over a particularly guarded area of Demacian control. After a thorough search of the structure, no riches or weapons were to be found.

Klarinthal, as highly regarded with the position he served, felt the minuscule purpose it gave his life... more of a servant than a man of prestige. when going back to search the new structure in their control that night as his force slept, he found a poorly constructed container under the remains of Demacian defenders. Quickly opening it, Klarinthal reached in and grasped the broken and dimly glowing crystal shard with his left hand. This cracked shard allowed all the magical, albeit corrupted, essence into Klarinthal. The essence transfer began the physical crystalline transformation of Klarinthal, at this point traveling from his hand up the arm to his shoulder. With sheer might, and some fear, Klarinthal squeezed with such force to further shatter the crystal, allowing his grasp to finally be released from it.

However, the process was stopped midway and wrecked havoc on his mind, body, and spirit, leaving all three fused with the essence of the shattered shard. Klarinthal continued to have issues throughout the night, slowing escaping from the battle. The next day, General Boram Darkwill was injured from the continued battle by a Demacian archer. This injury caused the General to send out a scouting squad to located and kill Klarinthal; if the General was harmed, it was at the fault of Klarinthal according to the General’s decree.

That night, the four scouts found Klarenthal in a weakened and disfigured state. He was initially relieved as his allies walked towards him. “I have found something of great importance to the lands of Kalamanda!” said Klarenthal. But no friendly words were spoken and axes and swords were brandished by the four scouts. Klarenthal knew they were given a ‘No Words’ order from the general, as he was forced to deliver this order to a claimed traitor years ago. His head was to be returned to the general.

Two days later, four Noxus scout heads were found along a road. Klarinthal had used his new found powers to be a sign of the new importance his life now meant. And he planned to show the General how important he was.

#Abilities

##PASSIVE: Shattered Transformation Transformation | Spell Modifier Casting Time: .25 Seconds

While in combat for at least 8 / 6 / 4 seconds, Klarinthal will transform into a greater hybridized form and have his abilities enhanced for the next 1 / 2 / 3 abilities cast. Klarinthal will remain in this form until the energy is expelled through casting abilities. The in combat duration needed to transform will be halved if Klarinthal is below 40% / 50% / 60% maximum health. After a transformation, there is a brief period where Klarinthal is unable to transform or gather energy from combat.

Klarinthal readies his next series of auto attacks in the direction of the four quadrants around him using a powerful forward thrust for the next 8.0 seconds. These attacks have increased auto attack range to 400, gain an additional 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40% life steal, and deal 30 / 65 / 110 / 150 / 185 (+40% AD) damage in physical damage. Each empowered attack will consume the quadrant, and have further auto attacks in that consumed quadrant attack as normal.

Klarinthal readies his next series of auto attacks in the direction of the four quadrants around him using a powerful forward thrust for the next 8.0 seconds. These attacks have increased auto attack range to 600, gain an additional 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40% life steal, and deal 40 / 75 / 130 / 170 / 210 (+50% AD) damage in physical. Each empowered attack will consume the quadrant, and have further auto attacks in that consumed quadrant attack as normal. The quadrant will refresh itself and become available again after 2.0 seconds.

Damaged enemies on the outer radius of the spear will suffer additional bleed damage for 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 (+15% AD) physical damage over 4.0 seconds. Damaging an enemy with another enhanced strike who are still bleeding will stack the base bleed damage reduced by 50%, and refresh the bleed duration.

  • Casting this ability will reset the auto attack timer.

  • The cooldown will begin when either all quadrants are used in the base ability, or at the end of the abilities duration for the enhanced version.

Klarinthal dashes a short distance, and then reaches out with his hybrid arm a short distance, grapping a single enemy champion or up to two minions. Dashing into an enemy unit will also grab them. Enemy units are stunned while being held. After grabbing an enemy, he will tightly squeeze them for a brief moment dealing 50 / 75 / 110 / 150 / 210 (+40% AD) in physical damage, then throw them in the direction of the mouse cursor. A thrown enemy knocks other enemy units aside as they travel.

Klarinthal dashes a greater distance and could grab up to two enemy champions or up to three minions, holding them for a longer time. After grabbing an enemy, he will tightly squeeze them, dealing 70 / 90 / 135 / 210 / 260 (+50% AD) in physical damage, then throw them in the direction of the mouse cursor a further distance. A thrown enemy knocks other enemy units aside as they travel.

  • Enemy champions are prioritized if an enemy minion and enemy champion are both within the Grasp Radius.

  • If more than one enemy champion, or more than two with Shattered Transformation Bonus, are in the grasp radius, the closest one or two enemy champions from Klarinthal are grabbed.

  • The player may click with the mouse in the desired direction they want to throw the grabbed enemy during the hold time to avoid holding the enemy for the full duration and throw them.

Klarinthal allows the corrupted essence of the shard to take over, charging up to 4.0 seconds, gaining a stacking 7.5% movement speed and attack speed bonus every .5 seconds of the charge, lasting 3.0 / 3.5 / 4.0 / 4.5 / 5.0 seconds at the end of his charge. He cannot attack or cast abilities during the charge, but can move at a reduced 20% movement speed. The charge can be interrupted by any hard crowd control.

If he charges for the full duration, Klarinthal gains a crystalline shield for 200 / 275 / 350 / 425 / 500 damage lasting 3.0 / 3.5 / 4.0 / 4.5 / 5.0 seconds.

All damaged enemy minions are knocked back to the outer edge of the radius. Damaged enemy champions have a Mark of Fractured placed on them for 4.0 / 5.0 / 6.0 seconds while having a crystalline structure grow and cover some parts of their bodies. Any damage from all sources will deal an additional 25 / 65 / 125 (+15% AD) in true damage in physical damage against marked units, cracking the covering crystals. The true damage effect can proc on the same target every .5 seconds.

Klarinthal slams the ground with his hybrid hand, creating a ripple outward dealing 210 / 325 / 400 (+60% AD) in physical damage, in a medium radius. All damaged enemy minions are executed. Damaged enemy champions have a Mark of Fractured placed on them for 4.0 / 5.0 / 6.0 seconds while having a crystalline structure grow and cover some parts of their bodies.

Additionally, Klarinthal will have crystalline shards swirl around him, continuously apply a 20% / 30% / 40% slow to enemy units in the radius, stacking with an additional 5% every 1.0 second while in the area, and apply the mark of Fractured until the abilities duration has ended. Any damage from all sources will deal an additional 40 / 80 / 120 (+25% AD) in true damage against marked units, cracking the covering crystals. The true damage effect can proc on the same target every .5 seconds.

One concern I have with his ult is that you say any instance of damage will proc the extra damage.

Any damage from all sources will deal an additional 25 / 65 / 125 (+15% AD) damage in physical damage against marked units, cracking the covering crystals.

Does this mean DoTs will constantly proc it, or when you say "cracking the covering crystals" does that mean it can only be procced once. Because of the large damage it does later in the game, and the even larger damage the empowered version does, it could definitely be a problem. Honestly, the first rank ult with someone such as Cass or Brand could do obscene amounts of damage. Even the target buying a Death's Dance could inadvertently screw themselves over. Sorry if I just understood your wording wrong, but that just really seemed to pop out to me.

Overall I really like concept man, it looks super cool.
