=Lore= "No one knows what it is, or where it came from." "The first sightings were only a few days ago, at a small pub in Piltover." "According to eyewitness, the creature simply walked into the establishment, and casually ordered a cup of expensive tea." "When the pub’s patrons began to flee, it started complaining about the lack of service to those who were too petrified to run." "Apparently the monster introduced itself as Gent, and it spent the next few minutes making idle chit chat, but before the local law enforcement got there the monster had already left, disappearing into the night." "Over the next few days there have been similar sightings of a towering demon made entirely out of metal cords and blades, twisted together to mimic limbs." "But every time it seems to slip away before officials can get there." "Some of my colleges are beginning to think that this thing won’t pose a threat, because no one has seen it harm anyone yet." "But I won’t just sit back and wait for it to show us what it’s capable of." "I will find this monster, and then I’m going to destroy it."

_Last journal entry that Kemic Lil wrote before her body was found. Or at least… what was left of of it. _

=Appearance= http://oi58.tinypic.com/o7nj1t.jpg Gent wears only a clean beige coat that is quite long and has a little silk handkerchief neatly folded in its pocket. The sleeves of the coat have been torn off, and there are signs of of many other tears and rips that have been lovingly stitched back up. Several of the buttons at the bottom are undone, making room for several crab/spider like legs made out of three or four metal cords coming from somewhere inside the coat that are loosely braided together to make thicker limbs. His arms are made of similar cords, but are slightly thicker and more resemble human arms, with the blades at the ends of the five cords positioned as fingers. His head is also made out of cords, and features a more bird like design. With a long neck and a sort of pseudo face/beak made out of the blades. Behind him is a long and deadly tail made of even more blade tipped cords, as well as some stray cords from his shoulders that are not twisted into his neck but instead float decoratively behind him.

=Abilities= P: Uncoil Whenever Gent hits an enemy with a basic attack he gains a stack of of uncoil up to a max of 5. Each stack increase Gent’s basic attack range by 100, and the range of his abilities by 40%. Gent also ignores unit collision.

More details: Stacks of uncoil will fade at a rate of 1 every 2 seconds if Gent is out of combat for more than 4 seconds.

Q: Ties That Bind First cast: Gent fires out a linear skillshot that tethers him to the first enemy or piece of terrain it hits for 4 seconds. Gent moves 30/40/50/60/70% faster when moving towards his tether point. If Gent is tethered to an enemy then basic attacks against them will reset the tethers duration, and they will take 10/20/30/40/50 physical damage per 100 meters they travel, plus 80/110/140/170/200 (+10% Gent's max health) additional damage once the tether brakes.

Second cast: Gent pulls himself closer to his tether point, but loses all his current stacks of uncoil, and brakes the tether.

More details: The tether will brake if Gent moves too far from the tether point. The range of the second cast dash is increased by uncoil, and it can jump him through walls, but stops once it hits the tether point. Gent gains true vision of anyone touching his tether. If the skill shot reaches its max range without hitting anything, or collides with a spell shield, or projectile stopping ability, then it will tether itself to the ground.

** W: Cutting Slack** Passive: Gent gains 10 (+1/1.5/2/2.5/3 per level) armor and magic resistance while cutting slack is off cooldown.

Active: For the next 5 seconds Gent takes 50% more damage from all sources, deals 50% reduced damage, and loses 30% movement speed. But he also gains additional base health regeneration equal to 1% of his max health, and heals for 4/8/12/16/20% of his missing health per second.

More details: The base health regeneration boost can be enhanced by health regeneration items.

** E: Cover Strikes** Gent picks a direction, and begins lashing out in a cone for 6 seconds. Enemies within the cones range will continuously take 10 (+50% AD) physical damage at increments of time equal to Gents attack speed, and will deal 20/25/30/35/40% reduced damage to Gent. The first tick of damage that an enemy takes from cover strikes will deal 30/45/60/75/90 (+100% AP) additional magic damage. The physical damage that cover strikes deals is doubled while Gent is facing into the cone, but doing so will prevent him from using basic attacks. Gent will lose 1 stack of uncoil per second while cover strikes is going.

More details: Gent can move freely while this skill is going, much like Braum’s shield. Also the range of the cone will continually change, depending on Gent’s current stacks of uncoil.

R: Honest Death Passive: While honest death is off cooldown, enemies will slowly accumulate stacks of honest death while in combat with Gent, 1 every second up to a max of 10. Gent deals 1/2/3% more damage to enemies for every stack of honest death they have.

Active: After a brief delay Gent strikes out at all nearby enemies, dealing 50/100/150 physical damage, consuming all stacks of honest death, and dealing 30/50/70 additional true damage for every stack consumed. Using this ability will drain all Gent’s current stacks of uncoil, and disable his passive for 5/4/3 seconds.

More details: Stacks of honest death will fade at a rate of 1 per second if the enemy hasn’t dealt or taken damage to or from Gent within 4 seconds.

** =Voice & Emotes=** Gent’s voice is very clear and well pronounced, but in the background is very quiet low metallic rumble.

Champion Select: "May the best man win."

Moving: "What a lovely place!" "How exciting." :) "I wonder what is in store for me this time?" "Nice weather we are having." "I’m sorry did you say something?" "Monster!? Where?" :( "I wonder who lived here…" "Oh look! Little arrows!" :D "What a view." "Once we are done, let us go see a play." ;) "Wait a sec… Have I been here before?" "Give me a second, I want to see the sights." "Are those gardenias?!" :D

Attacking: "No hard feelings?" "Ah! I love a good fight!" >:D "What are they screaming about?" "It is all about rhythm." "You and me… One on one." "There is no sport in this." :L "My hands, are lethal weapons." ;) "You should get that looked at." "I can take you with one hand behind my back." "You are dead now, have you noticed?" "Are you alright? Because if you are…" <_< "I strike… you should strike back." :l "A fair game, a fair death." "Good luck... You will need it…" "You are bleeding, right... there." :L

Landing Q On A Champion: "Please, do not go yet." "My deepest condolences." "So sorry for the inconvenience." "You can not run… Looks like you will have to fight." >:) "Pardon me madam." (Only if the champ is a girl) "Pardon me sir." (Only if the champ is a boy)

Activating W: "Wait… Timeout." "Hold off just a second." "Just…" huff… "give me a minute." "Back off please thank you." "Let me just pull myself together."

Activating E: "Come at me." "Just try to get through this." "I will knock your attacks out of the sky!" "Do continue." c: "You can do it, just try harder." ;)

Activating R: "We are done here." "It has been fun, but it is time to end this." "You can not get away that easy." :P "Aaaand, now!" "My turn. C:<" "You had your chance." "Wait that is it? Okay then." :L "Good show." "You fought well."

Death: Gent straightens up and bows respectfully, as he does this the cords that make up his body start unraveling. Then he tries to move back into an upright position, but loses his balance and collapses. At which point he has completely unraveled into a mess of cords that flop onto the ground inanimately. "My word!…" "Well I, guess this is appropriate." "Good show..." "Well… played...." "So this is..." ‘grunts’

Joke: Gent pulls out his handkerchief and starts weaving it in between the cords of his arms. "Ugh, look at me! I am covered in blood." D: "It is so hard to get stains out of metal, maybe if I use a chemical cleaner…" "Please do not scuff my arms, I am running out of polish." :L "I am looking for the League of Legends? Anyone? When did that stop being a thing?" "I tried drinking tea once... I still can get it off me." :C

Taunt: Gent rears back indignantly, and folds his arms in front of him. "Straighten your back as you run, you look ridiculous." "Just because I am trying to kill you does not give you the right to be rude." :C "Personally, I find your lack of refinement disheartening." "How are you planning on winning? With harsh language?" "Wait, did you already attack? Because I am still waiting for it."

Dance: Gent unravels and then (re-ravels?) himself while stretching, then begins a very prim and proper ballroom dance with an imaginary partner.

Laugh: A very pleasant and good humoured laugh, with the jingle jangle of metal cords in background.

That retcon joke lol

Stack based gameplay is a bit of a weird spot gameplay wise

If his range is inconsistent, you'll get a lot of complaints in-game when players don't know how far his moves will go (especially without a visual indicator for his opponent)

I recommend using stacks as a way to coax the champion into a pattern, and making each stack more meaningful than free stats. This makes it easier for the opponent to understand and play around it. As he is his passive and ultimate may feel a bit unsatisfying

There's lots of hidden power/burden of knowledge here that could make playing against him frustrating

Definitely a fun concept lore-wise, and as far as mechanics go he looks like one of those champions that is difficult, yet rewarding to master. Something that would be both interesting and functional is if the length of his tail increases as he gains passive stacks. That way opponents can get a general idea of how high his attack range is. His ult feels a bit weird, though. The rest of his kit seems to establish him as a sort of assassin/marksman who does a bunch damage, and can then heal himself while on the way to the next fight/gank, like Yi. Then there's his ult, which requires him to wade right into the middle of the enemy team, and then sacrifice his passive to hit them all. In order to be truly effective, he needs to be standing in the middle of a team fight for 10 seconds, which is problematic when you consider that Covering Fire only affects one direction. Also, character wise, waltzing into the middle of the enemy team and stabbing everything feels ungentlemanly. I'd suggest making the ability a single target assassination type deal by trading the AoE for increased stack speed/damage, or something to that effect, so that it's more "honorable bout of fisticuffs" than "indiscriminate butchery." Also, some strong consideration should be given to the idea of a top hat. A gentleman wouldn't want to be shown up by a catfish, after all. TahmKench

It may just be that I read the original post wrong, but when you explain it like that, I see your point. I liked the idea of a classy razor monster just because it was funny, but gameplay-wise it didn't seem too original.
However, I definitely like the idea of a ticking-bomb type tank. You either kill him quickly, or he just annihilates everything, and if you mess up on killing him quickly, then he just does even more damage to you. It forces the enemy team to make a sadistic choice in who they focus, which is always fun, and I don't think there are any other champions who fill that specific niche, aside from maybe Darius .

I have drawn a clumsy picture of him. Go check it out :)

I dunno why just the concept of a screwed-up looking monster that is actually a lot more classy than a majority of the insane wacky goofballs of league it's just a really good concept. The major problem is the fact that he has 0 friends, rivals, and special interactions, so i'd give his personality maybe a B+ or A- for being a good concept and having some pretty good lines as well but it is a little bit like the norm but still good.

As for his design it looks very good though I would say if you do know a friend who draws better than you (no offense is attended) you should probably ask for their help but make sure too credit them for their work. But it does still look good but I would prefer if his coat had longer sleeves and if he had a pipe or a top hot or something else. So grade on design B-.

Now onto the gameplay, from what I can tell you're intending to make something like a sion or braum, but personally if his gameplay is supposed to be he's supposed to be a 1v1 brawler with opponents I think he's supposed to be a bit more offensive similar to either darius and warwick, or make him a pure offensive champion similar to yasuo or yi. Now the abilities and passive, passive: so basically a combination of fizz and the ability to shoot farther, not that the passive is bad it's just, meh so i'd say you'd get a C with the passive, Q: basic tether with a twist with it, a little like thresh except you don't actually pull them instead you have increased movement, soooo i'll give it a B, W: so basically you're turning into a sitting duck in exchange for hp regen? DrMundo did this with his ultimate and don't get me wrong it's much more cheap but yeah still it's still not the best so C for his W, E: erm ok so first is this a toggle ability cause if so it can only last for 5 sec. if he loses stacks and it stops when they're all gone, but from what I've read it's a pretty good ability and that's the only real issue with it so i'll give it a B+, now his R: ok so it's a good concept but I do think it should stick to targeting 1 champion since I don't think the player will be able to get all the enemy champions so yeah that's the only major problem so a A- to it, overall I'd say it would be B with gameplay.

so yeah the concept works it just needs a little smoothing over with some of it's abilities and what role are you trying to make him?

so here are the pros: -amazing personality and backstory -decent design -good ultimate

cons -what is his role? -very hit and miss abilities -lack of reason as to why he would even be at the institute of war -lack of special interactions, friends, and rivals

so in the end I would say a 3/5 It has some strong and some weak points.
