Which 4 Champs would be the 4 Horsemen?

Arkhan·6/20/2016, 11:44:56 PM·4 votes·2,107 views

Death, Famine, War, and Conquest.

Which champ matches up to each Horsemen the best? Imagine a possible skin set.

And why do you think each champ would match each attribute?

(Actually going to draw the splash for the best 4. I have an idea, but I want to see what the community think as well.)

Conquest isn't a horseman. You mean Pestilence.

#War: Aatrox Aatrox, the Darkin Blade #Famine: Urgot Urgot, the Headsman's Pride #Pestilence: Twitch Twitch, the Plague Rat #Death: Kindred Kindred, the Eternal Hunters

Hmm rather interesting. I have to say I believe its Pestilence as opposed to Conquest. Conquest is the goal of War so it seems rather odd to have a repetition of War.

That being said i'd go with

Pestilence - Singed - His creation of toxins which he is willing to test on anyone, himself included, shows that his concoctions are meant to inflict as much harm as possible to as many people as possible.

War - Sion - He has an endless desire to fight regardless of what happens to him.

Death - Yorick - Reading through his lore you can see that he has been cursed to live on the brink of death as the last of his line. This is of course unless they change him in his upcoming rework. If that was the case then I would probably say Draven. The way in which Draven gained his fame was through his macabre executions.

Famine - Swain - Ravens are known for their willingness to devour anything, even that which is inedible.

Karthus Death

Because death

Hecarim Conquest

Travels far and wide killing anyone who stands in his path

Yorick Famine

Technically could also be death, but let's face it, famine works pretty well

Mordekaiser War

Commands ghosts to kill his enemies raising an army to fight for him (obviously not in game)

WAR Definitely Aatrox. No question here: his entire lore is based around him being a powerful entity that thrives on the battlefield.

CONQUEST/PESTILENCE This Horseman has two names, depending on your interpretation: actually, NO biblical horseman has a set name other than Death, but this is the one there's the most contention about interpreting. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Varus. Why? The biblical horseman carries a bow, and is out to conquer: Varus is a bowman out for vengeance, but I can stretch that to fit. Additionally he also fits the Pestilence theme, as he stacks up blight on his targets, and is being corrupted himself. Twitch would also be acceptable, but I think Varus fits the theme better.

FAMINE I'm less certain of this one. Famine is a weird concept to convey with League champions. Ultimately, I'm going to go with Nasus. Wither is a great effect for famine (buzzing flies, slow decay), and I like the idea of Nasus with a staff topped by a set of scales, slowing consuming all before him until he is an unstoppable force that his starved opponents cannot hope to overcome.

DEATH Mordekaiser is my choice here. Not only is he full of deadly power, but the biblical line "and Hades was with him" works wonderfully for Mordekaiser's ability to command spirits through his ultimate. I suppose you could make an argument for Karthus, but Mordekaiser just seems like a stronger pick to me.

Kindred would also be a strong choice (with Wolf filling the role of Hades), but for some reason I don't personally think Kindred fills the role as well as Mordekaiser. Either would work though.

Well, Hecarim's a horse and literally has "War" in his title.

Death would be either Kindred or Karthus

Morde could be either Famine or Conquest. (A lot of his dialogue seems famine-y, but his new backstory feels conquest-y.)

I think the most obvious have been covered, but I think for this I'm going to try and stay away from the far too easy to choose from, Shadow Isles champions.

Death, Famine, War, and Conquest, let's see...

Well starting with Conquest, I'd have to go with:

Ashe

The idea of Conquest was an archer essentially, or someone carrying a bow, wearing a crown. Sound like anyone we know? She is the queen by sort of a false "victory". Think her archetype and backstory fit this well.

War I think fits closely with Ashe funny enough with the champion I would pick. The idea here is surrounding the color red, someone more fiery in nature, and specifically possessing a great sword (as in a great sword, not describing it as "great").

My choice for War would easy be:

Tryndamere

This one is hard, because the whole idea of famine with the biblical reference has to do with either raising the prices of food to a ridiculous degree so no one could afford it (hence carrying the scales) or lowering the amount of food to a literal famine degree.

This one was a bit trickier, but for the horseman of Famine, I would have to go with:

TahmKench

He is the closest to someone who would bargain to essentially jack up prices (with the scale symbolism of using the scales in the market sense, not so much the judicial sense), as well as almost having a gluttony feel to him, so maybe even his hunger causing famine of sorts. Plus...he is effing creepy.

Death can be obvious if we go with the shadow Isles, but barring that, I think this could be pretty easy to just give to Kindred. The character is pretty much the representation of death in the League of Legends lore, and it fits the literal interpretation quite well I think. Death in the biblical sense didn't carry a scythe as much as they were followed by a creature that would consume the victims death had slain. This could be lamb slaying and wolf being the follower.

So for Death, the easy answer (despite the lengthy expalantion) would be:

Kindred

So tl:dr

Death: Kindred Famine: TahmKench War: Tryndamere Conquest/Pestilence: Ashe

arent the 4 horsemen Famine, War, Pestilence and Death?

this actually names them and gives them color

War: Aatrox

Famine: RekSai

Death: Kindred surpasses the shadow isles. They are Death while the Shadow Isles deny her.

Conquest: Swain

Tamur6/21/2016, 10:06:44 PM1 votes

War Aatrox

Famine Zyra

Pestilence Khazix

Death Kindred

Hmm . . . alright here's what I'd say are thematically (that is personality & lore, not gameplay) fitting picks. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation+6%3A1-6%3A8&version=KJV;NASB

Conquest; Swain, Darius, or Azir ~(Each have that drive to rule everything they find without hesitation. A bit of a tough one, but I decided on Swain as he's both a man of tactical action and cunning patience.)

War; Hecarim, Aatrox, or Fiddlesticks ~(Each known to cause murders to terrifyingly multiply wherever they go. Ok you got me, Hecarim is an obvious pick to be one of the horsemen; I chose war given he's looking to kill and cause more killings, he's not just trying to rule or ruin the wildlife, nor does he seem immensely powerful.)

Famine; Chogath or Singed ~(Both could be swapped out with similar styled champions, such as kench & twitch. One would be the cliche 'consuming the world', while the other would be demonstrating the devastation of chemical warfare. I'd say Chogath since the would would starve if there's no food left; chemical weapons often take time.)

Death; Mordekaiser or Thresh ~(Both known for literally ripping the soul from their victims, in an ever so permanent way by any means. I suppose Kayle could be picked here as a pun, but not my thought. I'd say Mordekaiser as he can control the souls of those he kills, while Thresh more or less just collects them.)

xxxDogmanxxx6/22/2016, 7:13:26 AM1 votes

Death - Thresh Famine - Urgot Pestilence - Singed War - Darius

Anaithnid6/22/2016, 11:52:24 AM1 votes

War... Probably Yorick Yorick , darius Darius or urgot Urgot . They charge the front lines and keep the fight going and can be good cleanup for leftovers.

Conquest/pestilence... Well teemo Teemo would fit pestilence pretty well, but for conquest i'd pick katarina Katarina or vayne Vayne

Famine, the best one is Cho'gath, hands down. he eats EVERYTHING and you can still see his bones XD Chogath

Death... already have a grim reaper karthhus, so he's out of question. my vote goes to those ambush jg ppl like shaco Shaco, kassadin Kassadin and nocturne Nocturne . built right they appear, not a second later you die.

Meep Man6/22/2016, 12:06:41 PM1 votes

Kindred - Death Kindred is death. KogMaw - Famine Kog'Maw continuously eats and throws everything back up. Aatrox - War He brings out the inner rage in people to start conflict. Mordekaiser - Conquest He enslaves souls and in his lore, he was a murder emperor who conquered many nations before being brought down.

SkyBlade796/22/2016, 1:19:43 PM1 votes

Death - Yorick
The gift he offers is death. Famine - Chogath His endless hunger cannot be sated. War - Aatrox The embodiment of the fury of the battle. Conquest - Sion He lives to rule, even beyond the grave.

TheLoneFailure7/24/2018, 12:17:18 AM1 votes

As far as War goes, Aatrox is the obvious choice. No real argument here. As for Conquest, I’ve thrown in a curveball. When you think about it, Kled is a perfect representation. Not only is he already mounted (which is a fun aside), he’s always trying to secure new property and kill anyone that trespasses. As a final bonus, he is the flagship champion of the Conqueror keystone in-game, so to me he is a fantastic rep. Famine has a few options, but Tahm Kench takes the cake here (and promptly eats it, too). His hunger is forever insatiable, and he always finds ways to bargain with those with unquenched hungers. Finally, Death goes to Hecarim, as he is a literal undead horseman that leads the charge and brings the ultimate consequence.

Karthus death Sion war Garen justice Kled conquest Fiddlesticks famine

There's a skinline that reminds me of the 4 horsemen, the worldbreaker one with Nasus Hecarim Trundle andNautilus .

HandofAnubis10/27/2019, 9:33:10 AM1 votes

War: Xin/Poppy Pestilence: Brand/Zyra Famine: Vlad/Warwick Death: Nocturn/Nasus

WhiteMage7716/21/2016, 12:04:13 AM1 votes

Death: Karthus or Sion because they continue on through death.

Conquest: Swain or Tryndamere or Hecarim because they seem like the most likely of candidates. Tryndamere because endless split push, swain because commander and hecarim because travelling

Famine: TahmKench because irony or Singed because his poison kills all crops

War: Swain or Mordekaiser or Yorick because reasons

Icestar11866/21/2016, 12:08:17 AM1 votes

Conquest: Darius War: Mordekaiser Famine: Swain Death: Karthus

Linna Excel6/21/2016, 12:24:11 AM1 votes

Depends if you translate the white horseman to be conquest, pestilence, or the anti-christ.

Dehitay6/21/2016, 12:29:23 AM1 votes

I'd got with: Thresh for Death Fiddlesticks for Famine Aatrox for War Swain for Conquest
