If you are Support and your duo isn't ADC....

Please.

PLEASE.

Don't continue to leave your ADC to go help your friend.

And for the love of all things holy.

Please.

PLEASE.

Don't ignore the ADC late game to run around and use all your support on your friend.

Because then when you lose. You will stick together and blame the ADC.

And then you strengthen the stereotype that comes with all duos or premades.

Please. Think as a WHOLE team, not as a premade unit.

Are you sure these people are duo?

The support is the team's support, not the ADC's.

As a solo player, when I play support I tend to focus on supporting the person on my team who I think has the best chance of helping us win the game. I'm not going to outright abandon the ADC during the laning phase, but if they are proving themselves to be a liability I am certainly going to shift my attention to supporting someone more useful as the game progresses.

Only time I leave the adc, is if he's going to go on a tilting spree on me. I'm not going to support a toxic player.

same goes for Jungler and solo lane premades.

In fact, even moreso.

This happens far too often unfortunately. And they the two stick up for each other no matter how far they need to go.

When I support I typically focus on helping the person who is going to survive the longest. Usually the mid laner, possibly a fed fighter. Almost never the ADC. I've seen too many bad ADC players to try and peel for them or help them. They don't build any defensive items and they get jumped on and die. Yes, as a support I could potentially stop that but it's not worth the effort really when it's such a coin toss of 'can I hit my abilities before the ADC's health bar hits 0?'

Plus ADC players rage. The second an ADC player rages at me I abandon him.

if nothing is happening in my lane, and you're versus a vayne and soraka as jhin, im gonna roam mid to get stuff done....

If you somehow die to a vayne / soraka when the wave was pushed near our turret 30 seconds earlier, it's not my problem that you don't know how to act in lane.

Mid wasnt even my duo. that's how you play.

mid laner here: I hate supports who endanger their ADC even if it's to gank me, help their pre jungler, or freaking waltz across the map for an entire minute just to gank their top lane pre. I understand roaming, but if A) the ADC can't follow or B) the ADC is against a hard engage / tower taking enemy and already having a hard time, letting them become completely useless rather than slightly behind puts a lot of pressure on me to deal all the damage, and makes it hard for me to roam when bot lane is 1v2 and it's completely dependent on top lane's wave.

It also makes me have to rush void staff unless there's super strong and reliable physical damage elsewhere, denies first turret gold, and leaves our own jungler having to either defend bot lane or power farm to make up for the ADCs lost gold. Finally, dragon is key and losing both first dragon and first turret is hard to recover from even if I get a triple quadra kill mid lane somehow.

When I play support, I freaking roam mid constantly, but I make sure my ADC is either backing, freezing lane, or long ranged against short ranged (and no blitzcranks). And I make sure I have good CC and base damage, with mobi boots.

When i got autofilld as support naut my adc blamed me for him gettin caught out and him building bork on jhin an shit. Excuse me? Do i control what you do X) omg

When I play support, I roam with the jungler or with my adc, and I make sure the adc has backed or is safe.

In teamfights, I'll try to save you but I play mages or engage tanks. If I see the opportunity, I'm getting people killed.

Ooooor if there's a fed assassin and I know they're around, wait for them to jump the backline and cc the shit out of them.

You are supposed to support the carry for your team and the team as a whole. I leave the ADC all the time if they are not carrying the team to victory. Supporting bad ADCs does not make the ADC play better.

I stay with them in lane until level 6. If they aren't doing well or they are a liability, I will support the next best player the most.

Despite the popular belief in lower elo, supports aren't supposed to always be near the ADC, especially if the ADC is doing very poorly.

I'm getting conflicting messages here.

My adc last game kept getting wrecked by Sona, left his ass and roamed after getting drag and 2 towers, only game back when he farmed 200cs.

Dominick Destine12/4/2016, 10:25:36 PM1 votes

If it's a support/mid combo duo players, I can see it being reasonable.

Say, an Alistar rotates mid early for a gank on enemy mid.

Papa Slothy12/5/2016, 1:29:07 AM1 votes

this happened last game, the enemy support kept ganking me cause I was beating his duoq buddy. Meanwhile the twitch was getting fucked over crazy hard cause of the 1v2
