Amonrath - The Unbound Blade

So I've been working on champion concepts for a while now, and game mods for longer still. I've held off of writing, as it's something I'd prefer to pour all my effort into. As such, I'd needed an outlet, so I decided that I might aswell come up with Champion concepts, such as Vivian or Hayth, and quite a few others that I've been refining or retooling. My latest idea was for a character similar to Udyr, with his multiple forms.

Before I get into the concept itself, I'll say this much. The second source of inspiration for Amonrath the Unbound was Renekton, and other tanky brawlers that are comfortable enough as beefy tanks, relying on the likes of Black Cleaver for damage. I didn't want Amonrath to be pidgeon-holed into being a pure tank, and tried to give him options, allowing you to build him many different ways, with varying strengths and weaknesses. Now, onto the stats and kit. As his lore is quite long, I'll attach the full .txt file to this post. To anyone taking the time to read through it, I'd appreciate some comments on his backstory, thanks.

Base Stats(Stat Scaling)

Health 550-1708 (+72.4) Health rgn. 6.5-16.7 (+0.6) Mana 270-727 (+26.9) Mana rgn. 6.5-21.8 (+0.9 Range 125 Attack dmg. 58-117 Attack spd. 0.72(+0%-38.3%) Armor 23.3-77.7 (+3.2) Magic res. 32.1-53.4 Mov. speed 340

Kit

PASSIVE - Crimson Sands Amonrath is sustained by powerful magicks. If his health goes below 20%, those magicks weaken significantly, causing Amonrath to transform. Upon transforming, Amonrath's bonus armor and magic resistance**(-5-10-15%)** is reduced, while his Attack Damage, Ability Power and movespeed**(+7-10-13%)** are increased. This transformation lasts 10 seconds.

COOLDOWN - 60 [While transformed, Amonrath becomes a dessicated husk, his golden armor transformed to a purplish black, with red glowing eyes.]

Q - Scarab Form

Amonrath focuses his will, calling upon the Aspect of Longevity, increasing his armor and magic resist by 5/7/10/12/14%, and his health by 100/125/150/200/250 while in Scarab Form.

Chitinous Bulwark - While in Scarab Form, Amonrath can strengthen his resolve, rooting himself for 1 second. For the next 3 seconds, Amonrath takes 5/7/10/13/15% less damage, and taunts all nearby enemies.

COOLDOWN - 5**(21)** COST - 25**(130)** RANGE - 225 [While in Scarab Form, Amonrath gains a Scarab Shell cloak, aswell as round armor along his arms and legs, with a pincer-laden helm.]

W - Cobra Form

Amonrath channels his contempt for the living, calling upon the Aspect of Condemnation, gaining 20/30/40/50/60 movement speed and 9/13/17/21/30 Ability Power, while his armor and magic resistance is reduced by 3/4/5/6/7% as he remains in Cobra Form.

Serpent Strike - While in Cobra form, Amonrath can fire a poisonous orb forward, dealing 50/80/110/140/170(40% AP) magic damage to the first enemy struck, and exploding in a poisonous cloud that deals a further 30/50/80/100/120(25% AP) magic damage over 3 seconds.

COOLDOWN - 5**(17)** COST - 25**(90/90/100/110/120)** RANGE - 600 [While in Cobra Form, Amonrath's armor transforms, cloaking Amonrath with a golden, three-tailed snake, with a cobra helmet]

E - Crocodile Form

Amonrath channels ancient power, calling upon the Aspect of Wrath, gaining 90/120/150/180/210(+5% bonus item HP) and 10/13/17/20/25(+10% bonus AD) while in this form.

Death Roll - While in Crocodile Form, Amonrath can lunge forward, dealing 40/60/90/110/130(+50% AD) physical damage to caught enemy champions and knocking them back. If an enemy champion is struck head-on by Death Roll, they are forced back with Amonrath, taking upto 90/150/240/300/360(+55% AD).

COOLDOWN - 5**(14)** COST - 25**(60/65/70/75/80)** RANGE - (500) [Death Roll deals continuous damage, striking enemy units a maximum of three times. The knockback prevents anyone not hit head-on from taking secondary damage.][Amonrath's armor transforms, adding a Crocodile head ornament, aswell as long claws and a tail]

R - Chimaera Form

Amonrath is consumed by unparalleled rage, transforming into the mighty Chimaera. While in Chimaera form, Amonrath cannot use his other forms, but can access their abilities and fly over units. During the Chimaera transformation, Amonrath's abilities are warped.

Chitinous Bulwark - Causes Amonrath to lash out, dealing (100% AD) damage to all taunted enemies. Can critically strike. Serpent Strike - Scales off of Magic Resistance (10/20/35% Bonus MR) Death Roll - All enemies struck by Death Roll are pushed back, but take only two hits. Scales off of Armor (10/20/35% Bonus Armor)

Devastation - While in Chimaera Form, Amonrath ascends high into the sky, before slamming back into the ground, causing rock shards to erupt from the land, dealing 125/175/225(+33% Bonus AD) (+25% Bonus AP) physical damage and knocking enemies up and away. Upon use, Amonrath is forced out of Chimaera Form.

DURATION - 30 COOLDOWN - 120 COST - 125**(100)** RANGE - (200)(250)(300) [Devastation causes three rings of rock shards to burst forth from the ground, dealing 20% less damage than the last. Enemies that have already been struck by Devastation are not hit twice.] [While in Chimaera Form, Amonrath gains a Lion's head helm, eagle wings and legs, aswell large, clawed gauntlets, and a large purple gem over his chest]

My intention was to create a champion that should be played initially as a tank. A brawler. Someone that benefits from AP and AD styles just enough to encourage players to be creative. Using AP tanks, AD tanks, pure tanks, or whathaveyou. The ultimate was intended to encourage this, as it rewards tanky players that remain in Chimaera Form.

As far as Devastation goes, I'd intended it to reward all three styles of play. First, for a tank, one good Death Roll>Devastation combo would work nicely as an initiation tool for a tank, benefiting from any AD and/or AP built, while scaling well enough that it benefits both pure AD and pure AD players equally.

I'd also wanted to divide the forms, keeping the varying builds in consideration. For example, AP players would rely mainly on Cobra Form and Devastation, while full AD players would rely on Scarab and Crocodile Forms, also saving Devastation.

Base damage and scalings are balanced, cooldowns and costs are good.

Adaptability is great. +1

The different forms this champion take would make his play style fun and inventive, items like Rage blade, early game Sheen into Lichbane, and other hybrid items appear like a must have for a champion like this, along with stacking survivability.

Bumping this thread.

Part of my reasoning for his varied ratios is the adaptability of Tryndamere, my main. For any player that has mastered him, they can play AP/AP on-hit, tank, support or whatever they please.

This versatility inspired me to create a champion that_ encouraged_ such wildly different playstyles.

Good concept, but there are few issues with his kit, one being that he can kiII himseIf by switching forms whiIe Iow HP. His Q is aIso a copy of GaIios UIt but weaker, simiIar abiIities are fine but this is a bit too simiIar and I think there is more potentiaI here.
