Acheron - The Fairy King

For a while after I released Vivian, I mused about Lulu, and then Fairies in general, considering the interaction between Vivian's Beast, Lulu and Pix, and how a less whimsical Fairy Champion could be interesting, so I came up with Acheron, and in total honesty, I'm still torn up between the names Acheron and Almerion. With that out of the way, here is Acheron.

LORE

They trampled over our glades, those wretched, pale mortals. They have unknowingly killed hundreds of us in the name of 'progress'. Those monstrous humans, and mongrel yordles have no respect for our kind. We must constantly run and hide from the mortals, cutting down our land for their own needs. We have had enough. We refuse to be victims. We will not be trampled upon. We are one.

ABILITIES

PASSIVE - SYLPHIC VEIL Acheron is an ethereal creature, composed of many Fairies. He is able to ignore upto 35% of Attack Damage based attacks. However, any Bonus Armor reduces this effect. If Acheron dies, he explodes, leaving behind a shimmering mist of Fairy Magic that increases the Health Regeneration of any allies within it by 3% of their maximum health per second for 2 seconds.The Shimmering Cloud lingers for 4 seconds.

Q - MIDNIGHT SHROUD Acheron calls upon Fae Magicks, creating a Luminous Cloud in the sky, providing sight below the Cloud for 3 seconds. After 3 seconds, the Luminous Cloud shines brightly, providing True Sight for 1 second. Midnight Shroud can be activated again if the Luminous Cloud isn't providing True Sight, transforming each Shining Star in the Cloud into a burning stone, which can be fired randomly at a target location¹, dealing 30/45/60/75/90(+40% AP) Magic Damage each to any enemy units hit.

MANA - 140/135/130/125/120 COOL - 19/18/17/16/15 RANGE - 0-1000 AoE - 100-600 Shot AoE - 150

¹ The second part of Midnight Shroud works much like the original Gangplank ultimate, providing an AoE indicator, and firing each burning stone at a random point SOMEWHERE within that AoE.

W - CELESTIAL STRIKES PASSIVE - Every second, one of Acheron's autoattacks is counted, providing a Celestial Strike stack. At six stacks, Acheron's next attack gains 100 range, causing him to lunge at his target, bringing him into melee range of his target and knocking them back¹.

ACTIVE - When an enemy unit is knocked back, Celestial Strikes can be activated again, causing Acheron to lunge forward, pinning the target to the ground and dealing 30/60/90/120/150(+25% AP) Magic Damage. While Celestial Strikes is off cooldown, Acheron deals an additional 5/10/15/20/25(+5% AP) Magic Damage on hit per Celestial Strike stack.

MANA - 80/80/80/80/80 COOL - 14/13/12/11/10 RANGE - 300

E - WISPISH ASSAULT Acheron splits into 3 clouds of dark Fae Energy that surges forward in an arc, fanning outward and dealing 80/110/140/170/200(+25% AP) AP damage to any enemy units along their path. Acheron then reforms at the target location.

MANA - 90/100/110/120/130 COOL - 18/18/18/18/18 RANGE - 600 CURVE RANGE - 50-200

R - DOMINION Acheron becomes enraged, splitting into 5 smaller versions of himself, each with 2/5 of his original stats. While Dominion is active, the Acheron clones gain 100 Fury, which drains at a rate of 2 Fury per second.

Acheron's abilities cost 3 Fury to cast. and can grant upto 6 Fury if they deal damage to an enemy.

For each clone that dies, when Acheron reforms, he loses 1/5 of his health. If the main clone dies, another will take it's place.

If Acheron uses Wispish Assault, all of the clones will do the same, re-forming Acheron at the target location, and reducing the cooldown of Dominion by 5 seconds per surviving clone.

MANA - 225/225/225 COOL - 160/150/140 RANGE¹ - 2500 AoE² - 450

¹ Leash Range

² Movement AoE.The four minion clones will take their own path towards whatever location they were ordered to go to. They may take wildly different paths but will end up SOMEWHERE within the AoE.

³ Each Acheron clone can generate 1 Fury with an autoattack and 2 with an ability.

Acheron can control ONE of the clones normally, in place of himself, while any other clones act as one, using abilities and attacking on their own, if not given a specific order. For example, if the Clones are not given any orders, they will chase an enemy champion; if said champion enters into the brush, a clone will use a weaker version of Celestial Shroud to provide vision.

•² Clones can be ordered to attack a single target, or be ordered to Attack Move, causing them to target units at random.

•³ Clones can and will cast their Q and W independantly, dealing less damage than normal, and in the case of Celestial Shroud, summoning a SINGLE Fairy Star.

another unique champion, i love how he can break up into smaller parts like zac but it's not just a revive passive but actual abilities

Then I guess I should have pointed out. Acheron is essentially a sentient black cloud, taking the general shape shown in that picture.

Remember to check out the other champion concepts I have released. I'd like to get some fan-feedback on Acheron, so I know whether or not to make a model for him, the same as I've done for the Taric VU/rework/remake.

I WOULD have made a model for this, too, but after spending so much time on Taric, it has me a little burnt out. I've had this concept at the ready for a while now, and thought I'd finally write it up and release it. Let me know what you think, and maybe check out some of my other concepts, too. I'll answer any questions about balancing, roles and the like.

This champion is very well made, super interesting mechanic of breaking into smaller pieces, very fair mobility, and is an AP Fighter which this game definitely needs more of. I would love to see model animations for his abilities but i imagine that would be incredibly time consuming.
