So I've been coming up with champion concepts for a while now, and at one point, tried to make the old Sion work, by shuffling a few things around, fixing the scaling on his abilities and changing his ultimate. In keeping with that trend, I've elected to do the same with Taric, keeping his kit largely the same, with changes or additions. With that out of the way, I'll be posting directly from the .txt file I've recorded the changes on.

PASSIVE - GLISTERING DEFENDER Taric remains calm and composed in battle, so long as his allies are safe while under his protection. While near allied champions, Taric's movement speed, attack damage and attack speed increase as their health decreases, at the expense of his bonus armor.

If a nearby allied champion goes below 10% health, Imbue will come off cooldown. (60/45/30 second cooldown)

Q - IMBUE Taric brandishes his enchanted crystalline maul, sending a wave of soothing energy out towards an allied unit, healing them and himself for 100/120/140/180/250(+35% AP)(+5% total HP) Health.

If Taric casts Imbue on himself, he is healed for 130/160/190/220/250(+45% AP)(+5% total HP), and cleanses himself of one debuff effect. If this occurs, Imbue's cooldown is increased by 5 seconds.

W - GLITTERSMASH PASSIVE - Taric further empowers the gems that line his armor. While Glittersmash is available, Taric increases his and his allies' armor by 11/12/12/13/14% of his total armor.

ACTIVE - Taric saps his gems of their new enchantments, causing their magic to erupt in a shining blast, dealing 100/120/140/160/180(+15% total armor) magic damage to enemy units within 250 range and reducing their armor by 5/10/15/20/25(+5% total armor) for 3/3/4/5/5 seconds.

If a nearby allied champion is below 30% health when Glittersmash is activated, it will push nearby enemy units back, and halt any missiles within the blast radius. If this occurs, Glittersmash's cooldown will be increased by 10 seconds.

E - DAZZLING LIGHT PASSIVE - While Dazzling Light is available, every 3rd autoattack by Taric will reduce the cooldown of his abilities by 1 second.

ACTIVE - Taric focuses powerful energies into his shield, heaving it forward, releasing a wave of brilliant light, that will stun an enemy unit, dealing 60/90/120/150/180(+25% AP) magic damage. In addition, enemies take increased damage from Dazzling Light the closer they are to Taric (Upto 200%).

If an enemy unit is killed by Dazzling Light, half of the mana cost is refunded, and the cooldown is reduced by 2 seconds.

R - RADIANCE Taric raises his hammer above his head, before slamming it into the ground with great force, dealing 150/250/350(+40% AP)(+5% total armor and magic resist). For the next 10 seconds, Taric emits a glowing aura of power, increasing his Attack Damage and Ability Power by 25/50/75, and granting nearby allies 20/25/30 bonus Attack Damage and Ability Power.

While enshrouded by the Radiant Aura, the passive effect of Dazzling Light remains active, and Taric's attack and movement speed are increased by 10%, while his abilities' cooldown periods are increased by 6 seconds each.

RNG(ACT) 175/200/225 RNG(PAS) 500/500/500 COST 100/125/150 COOL 100/90/80

My main goal was to encourage Taric to wade directly into combat, being an active front-liner, rather than a health/armor battery.

Pretty cool. You clearly put a lot of work into this. The model is a good starting point for what I would hope he ends up looking like, though it's not quite as polished as what I would expect from Riot. The kit unfortunately suffers from the same issue as his current kit. Namely that it's basically just numbers with very little interesting gameplay.

This is sexy and I think that you're amazing. I think it's balanced, but that's just me. To be honest :3 I really appreciate the additions/changes without majorly changing who Taric was, because he's fabulous and truly amazing.

I really like how his different spell effects cause different parts of his armor to glow.

Some issues I have with the kit though: -W&R still give a lot of invisible power.Allies will barely notice the boost. -E is still a point and click stun i guess? -E benefits from killing the enemy,but that doesn't fit the support role at all.

Looks pretty cool, but why give him a shield if he just throws it out of the way every time he attacks? Shields don't protect you if you flail them wildly away from your body any time you attack.

They're probably going to do away with Taric's aura ult, honestly. I like it too, but it has that "invisible power" buzzword that riot hates so very much.

I suspect he'll get a new ult more in line with that of modern supports if they can fit it in his new kit. (Hard cc like leona, braum' lulu etc.)

I think Taric is perfect as he is :). I really hope that when they give him a VU, they don't change him to match the Chinese splash art.

not enough gems not enough crystals, not dazzling or fabulous enough

the crystals dont look organic they look like shitty rinestones, make it look like the crystals grew of out the shield and not elmerglued onto it

I would like to quickly point out that I had, by total accident, posted this in the wrong section. That was an oopsie.

That aside, I would also like to apologize for the seemingly poor quality of the animation loops, and in order of appearance, they depict Taric's Basic Attacks, Critical Strike, Heal, Armor Shred, Stun and Ultimate, while the black & white still depicts Taric under the effects of his Ultimate, and while his three Basic Abilities are all on Cooldown.

Only issue is...

Another 3-hit and something happens champion? Really?

Also that means attack speed Taric would just reset his cooldowns over and over again, so I don't know.

I deliberately ramped up his cooldowns in this kit fix-up to make up for that. Sure, you could go AS Taric, but then your abilities are going to be very underwhelming.

Hi dude, ADC main here, I played with some Taric supps when he was OP in season 2, just wanted to give you my opinion about your rework and explain why people are complaining about invisible stats : It feels unsatisfying because a spell looks like it has no effect, if you play with Taric on the bottom lane, you will feel like after his stunned a target, he can't do anything anymore.

And just this makes your rework ( at least to me ) kinda awkward, as the passive : More invisible stats, still feels unoticeable, Still, I like the idea of the Q resets, but why wouldn't you put it in the Q's kit ? Also, as a support, it feels completely awkward to have such a selfish reward, only Taric benefits from this, and a support is supposed to protect and help people. I have a suggestion for another passive that would fit what you want, but i'll explain it later

Q : This spell is okey overall, though i'm not sure the self healing effect is useful, maybe useless powerbudget ? I would just say that the mana cost is already considered too high Live, and it has been reduced recently to cover this problem, so you better not make it go higher than it is now.

W : I remember when this spell was OP, they nerfed it so hard, it feels completely useless, Why wouldn't you remove the low health effect and put a small bump permanently ? like 0.75 sec, not even, something really small,Also i don't really like the idea of an increased cooldown, it feels like you get punished for saving someone, so it's unrewarding .The duration of the armor shred should be 3/3.5/4/4.5/5 if you ask me, would feel a lot clearer and more satisfying in general.

E : Ok, here i will do something really horrible but i think it's relevant : I'm gonna compare to another champion. Blitz's grab, a kill mechanism which is an extremely rewarding skillshot ( instant flash/kill ?) and cost 130 mana deals 300 damages + 1.0 AP ratio Taric's E is not a kill mechanic, it has several uses, and it costs 220 mana ???? far too high, the cooldown too is too high, the passive effect feels useless too, since you won't AA a lot with taric, and even, one second less is unsignificant. And why would you give an effect on-kill to a supp ? He's not supposed to kill, he's supposed to assist. even like this, again, the reward feels useless. The CD should be lowered too, and in exchange the CD reducing effects should be removed, and the speed missile should be a bit faster than live ( I remember a game where a katarina got targeted by a taric E and she had the time to make a triple kill before the E stroke her ) Not sure about the duration, so i won't say anything.

R : This is kinda the same effect as live, again, why would Taric benefit more than his Allies ? That's so selfish for a support, it should feel more like "the more i give, the more i'll get back" it's invisible stats again. After reading this all i had another Idea for the Ult and the passive :

New R : Taric unleashes a stardust Tornado, dealing damages each second,in a high radius around him, based on his AP and resistances. Taric and the allies in the Tornado get a small armour and magic resistance effect each time Taric hits a Target with the Tornado. ( and yes the idea is that the Ult's damages DO apply the passive marks )

New passive : Stardust Marks : Taric AAs and spells apply a Stardust Mark, up to 3 stacks, each time an Ally hits a marked target, it deals bonus magic damages, if 3 marks were stacked the amount of damage is significantly increased and Taric and his Ally gets a small movement speed buff, consuming the marks, marks cannot be applied on the same target anymore for the next 6 seconds.
