Helloooooooooooooooooooooooooo Concepting community!

After a too-long hiatus the CCC is finally back! For those who have traveled these waters before you know what to do! For those who haven't, well don't worry keep reading!

The CCC is the Community Concept Contest, a contest where everyone submits a concept they've created and posted within this month (this time being January), and have said concept be judged by a panel of your peers. No reds, no professionals, but fellow interested players such as yourself. Do yourself a favor and read through this post, I've covered everything from what you need to enter to how it's scored, have fun!

Prizes

• Entry into a Hall of fame post that will remain updated as long as the CCC runs
• Top 5 concepts will be highlighted and praised in the results announcement
• Top concept will get a custom .gif file of a fancy shiny medal to 'pin' on their concept
• ALL entries will have a score associated with their concept in the scoring categories as well as a good chance at feedback and critiques

Entry requirements

• ONE entry per player
• Concept Entry must be NEW, specifically: posted WITHIN THIS MONTH OF JANUARY so as to give everyone an even playing field and a bit of a challenge. Please refrain from entering re-makes, old WIP concepts, or copies, they may be disqualified.
• Concept Entry must be YOURS. If the linked concept’s author and your name are different your entry will be disqualified.
• Entries will be taken from now until I post a “contest closed” thread on the 19th at noon EST.
• The first 60 entries will be taken. Any posts above that limit will not be entered.
• Entrants can be disqualified based on rude behavior towards other entrants/judges (negative feedback is fine!), disregard of the Universal Forum Rules (porn is NOT a legitimate reference image) or other major problems.

#How to Enter

1. Post your concept normally within the Skin & Champion Concepts Board, if it's not already posted.

2. Reply to THIS POST with a link to Step 1

3. Wait for me to reply with "Entry Confirmed!". If it takes more than a day for me to reply I may have missed you, don't hesitate to remind me!

4. Watch the "Current Entrants" List below and double check you're up there, if you are you're in!

Remember: There is max of SIXTY slots.

#Timeline

• January 12th to January 19th: Entries will be taken
• January 19th to February 2nd: Entries will be judged
• February 5th: Results will be announced
• February 9th: February CCC begins

#Scoring

Entries will be scored based on five categories with the following weighting.

#Bonus Addition: New Years Resolutions!

Simply put, if your character had to write down a list of new year's resolutions what would they be. This is a good chance to show some humor when appropriate, clever creativity elsewhere and maybe even some references! I can't wait to see what you guys have in store!

• Get that damnable spin down to show up that glorified Damacian boy.
• Finally convince Draven to kill first, then gloat.
• Lay off the Piltover Creampuffs, armor's getting a bit tight.....
• Interrogate Riven on her runic weapon. Axe needs an upgrade!
• Improve scowling.

#I've said it before, I'm saying it again: Judges!

If you're not interested in entering this month but still would like help out I have the perfect job for you, Apply to be judge this month! I'm taking in judges all the way up until the 19th (when judging officially starts). If you're at all interested I could really use the help! E-mail me at '[email protected]' with your IGN (in-game name) and I'll happily walk you through what you need to do.

If you're worried about pre-requisites feel free to read through them here. Most are common sense and anyone can get through them easy. If you have any additional question or concerns about judging, please do not hesitate to e-mail at the above address with said questions as well.

I am not the only one in need of judges! vBunnie (the current host of this month's MCCC) is also looking for judges to help out. If you're interested check the January MCCC post here and give a comment asking about it. If you're feeling super helpful you're perfectly fine judging for both contests, and I will in fact be incredibly impressed.

FAQ

But I've never made a concept before....

Never fear the Sir is here! I’ve made a Introduction to Champion Concepts post just for you! New conceptors are not only welcome but encouraged to participate! I will be happy to take questions about making a champion concept as well. Getting new conceptors into the scene with confidence behind their concept is a huge motive behind this event! :D

I have a WIP concept...

Feel free to post and work on your concept as much as you want. It's not technically entered until you provide the link to the entries thread. Just make sure you're not the 61st entry!

I don't have a concept and I don't have time to judge. But I want to help!

That. Is. Awesome. The single best way for you to help me, the other judges and the entrants is to give feedback! Negative, positive, just make sure it's constructive and the author can use it effectively if they so choose. In fact if you want some tips on giving feedback to Champion Concepts check out Jaykoboy's awesome How-to guide here.

Can I change my concept after entry?

As encouraging feedback and concept participation is a major motive behind this contest, I encourage iterating on a concept, HOWEVER you have to be able to argue it's still the same champion, no major changes or it will have to count as a new entry with your previous entry being disregarded. Remember: your entry doesn't start until you provide the link here, If you want feedback before entering I advise to simply post normally and provide the link when you feel you're ready. Just be sure to enter before next Monday and before we hit 60 entries!

Can I change my concept after judging starts?

Yes, but there's a catch. I do not micromanage the judges, I let them peruse the entries at their own pace in their own order, so I can not guarantee your changes will be seen by every judge. If you do make changes that late in the game you have to be prepared for a score that does not accurately reflect your end-all concept.
